- In my opinion Apple Jacks is a very underrated cereal that doesn't get as much love as it should. Sure, it doesn't taste like apples, but it's still delicious.

Cold makes your taste buds stupid; that's why melted ice cream is so sweet, because they've to put way more sugar in it. I've been learning a lot of cereal science on here I've got to say.
It amazes me how much content you produced for a channel solely based on cereals.
Maybe those of us watching grew up with so many brilliant cereal jingles in the 80s! And for me, cereal generally speaking brings me back to many good childhood memories. Also apparently many show biz stars had their beginnings in cereal commercials!
I haven't seen these in stores for YEARS... but they came back as a "limited edition" in Canada. I LOVE eating these with Vanilla ice cream!! Seriously YUM!!

Just had my first bowl of Apple Jacks! I had to get them at an import store, as for some reason kellogs will release most of it's cereals in Belgium, but not all. Very good cinnamon taste. For my second bowl I mixed them up with Froot loops and that works very nice. It sorta takes the fruity edge of the Froot loops wich I find a bit much at times.
Never mixed them with Froot Loops before. Sounds like a plan. I'm not a huge Froot Loops fan in general, but I really like Apple Jacks.

I never heard of the warm milk option, either. I wonder if Coco Puffs gives you hot chocolate afterwards.
Coco Puffs works great with warm milk, same goes for Honey Pops. Sometimes you just want something warm on a cold winter morning.

I've been taught as a kid to always eat cereal with warm milk, and until literally few years ago when my boyfriend pointed out otherwise, I thought all other people did the same way. I've tried using cold milk few times since my discovery, but it's just too crunchy for my taste. (Sorry, I know you keep saying "Stay crunchy!", in my case it's probably "Stay soggy!")

The early commercials were done ny Depatie Freleng Enterprises, (The studio that did the animated Pink Panther shorts) With Paul Frees as the mascot's voice plus Mel Blanc was the voice of one of the bullies.

my mom's friend gave her this dope deep bowl that keeps the milk cold as ice. We can't find more of them anywhere though It's the holy grail of cereal bowls! lol
Maybe it's just me but I feel like Apple Jacks doesn't taste the same as it did when I first tried them back in the late 60's with the weird apple face on the box. I wonder has there been a recipe change since it was first introduced. Side Note: I was all the way grown when I realized the face on the front was suppose to be an apple. It just didn't look like an apple to my 4 yr. old eyeballs.

I am eating Apple jacks right now. My mommy bought it for me with fruity pebbles (the malt o meal brand) Kelloggs s'morz and Frosted Flakes
I remember the first time we bought Apple Jacks was in the mid 90s because the box had Super Mario on it! I always liked this cereal as a kid, but recently I tried it and it wasn't that good. Did Kellogg's change the recipe or something?
We rarely get this in Canada, so I always get a bunch when they do a limited run.
I'm not a fan of warm milk with my cereal but I'll make the exception with apple jacks that does seems like the best way to enjoy it
You know, the whole 'doesn't taste like apples' thing confuses me since it says right the box that there is apple taste within the cereal. Still good cereal though.

My grandma used to out warm milk with my cereal, I didn't like it too much. I think it makes the cereal go soggy quicker.

Apple Jack (the mascot) looked kind of creepy on the box.
So a video about someone talking about ten minutes about “My Little Pony” and no mention of the cereal just the title card at the end because Apple Jack was in the title led people to this video, that’s just weird. When everyone was commenting about being here from Jenny, I thought they meant another cereal review video about Apple Jacks cereal. I don’t get it.
Another great video Gabe. I too liked the Apple Jacks with marshmallows. In regards to eating cereal with warm milk is something I'm surprised you didn't experience until now. Nevertheless I personally only think it's good with certain cereals. To be more specific, good ole fashioned Cheerios are awesome with warm milk. Matter of fact it's the only way I eat Cheerios. Looking forward to next weeks video.
They are bland and that's why the warm milk is needed. Yes plain ole Cheerios. Of course it's good with Honeynut as well.

Ok, here's a dusty memory from the netherworld of cereal obscurities....
When I was growing up in the late 70's, the was a TV commercial for Total (I think) that had some guy pointing out the outrageous amount of added sugar in breakfast cereals. He had a black marker and kept circling the word "sugar" on the list of ingredients in various boxes of cereal. He would say "19% sugar...31% sugar..." And when he got to Apple Jacks he said "52% sugar". That blew my mind as a kid and still does today, but my questions are these
A- Does anyone remember the commercial I just described ? Was it a Total commercial ?
B- Since they reformulated Apple Jacks, what's the sugar content?
I haven't bought a box in years, but now I want to...and try it with warm milk.

It came to me later...it was for Spoon size Shredded Wheat. I tried to find the commercial online, but no luck so far. BTW Gabe, did you get your grape pop-tarts yet? I'm tempted to send you a box as a thanks you for all these great videos.
