Have loved this pastime of ours for nearly 50 years now but no matter what anybody says it just isn’t like it used to be. This video superbly portrays those days gone by where the fauna was untouched, the stock was unknown, fish didn’t have names and you could fish simply and effectively undisturbed by other anglers. It really did feel like you had your own lake at times. Halcyon days recreated. Well done Alan and Nash 👏👏
The time and effort required to find the venue further illustrates your point unfortunately Wayne... but if anything, this film proves there are still little slices of paradise dotted about 👀 Glad you enjoyed the film! 🙌
Totally agree I’m struggling to really enjoy my winter fishing this year lots off blanks for pike and perch and a very known angler who owns my water says he’s never known it so bad over the last few years and he’s even struggling and loosing heart , I wonder how long fishing has got before it’s just commercial’s and carp waters we can fish ?
I've always had a view that for me, true art induces emotions deep down within me whilst the other stuff expresses emotions - I think it's easiest explained with music - songs you like the first time you hear them but get bored of quickly and the songs that grow on you so you can never get enough of them. I get this with pictures, with words, with film - that little thing that creates a spark in my heart, creating true meaning - true art. This film induced emotion with me - bundles of it! Excitement from exploring the unknown, jealousy from wanting to be there myself, happiness from seeing Alan's passion & listening to the birdsong (fuck that makes me homesick - maybe more jealousy), the apprehension of watching the orange float tips sitting in the water amongst the lily pads - through to the sadness of seeing the otters for the first time. I actually had to stop watching a couple of times to catch my breath. Well done Alan & Dan. Best film since the first Redmire trip IMO. it may sound like false hope but I want to assure you that carp can survive with otters around them - we have thousands of lakes & rivers here in Ontario where they live side by side - the balance may be swinging towards otters in the UK at present but it will swing back in time, I have no doubt about that. keep up the good work guys & thankyou
Incredible film, Alan tells a story like no other and you can really feel his passion and emotion towards fishing. My favourite Nash video to date this one, unbelievable ❤️
My farther in law was fishing obsessed. Recently passed 3 months ago not managing to reach his goal of getting our local 32 pound carp. I hope my boys get this for him one day . He watched your videos and thousands of other more. And spent years sat at fishing banks. We even had a carp made out of flowers for him at his funeral. I watched this video thinking of him and knowing how much he would of loved this video. Thank you. X he got to meet Alan and get a picture, this made him very happy. Absolutely magical film x
This feels like a Terry Hearn film. And I mean that as a massive compliment. The way Alan tells the story and the incredible videography. Best Nash film to date. Big ups Alan, Dan and Sam incredible work 🎣🏆
pure alan blair no nonsense fishing none of the stupidity no daft music just pure alan at his best stalking climbing and trying to unlock the lake thank you very muchly
25:50 gave me absolute goosebumps man! That is a shot of everything I love about fishing. The beauty of nature, the optimism, the opportunity, the passion. The unknown! Love it Alan! You are the best in the business.
Blown away, great watch, surrounded in mystery and what drives us to do the sport we all love. Not always the catching but the feeling you get being at one with your surroundings. Stepping away from the rat race
Alan Blair will go down in the history books! Not an angler on the planet can tell a story like him and literally pull you into the TV screen! A true gent and unbelievable fisherman! Amazing film Nash 👌👌
Whoever filmed and edited this ,did an incredible job doing so👏🏻 Alan cracked into a little piece of heaven and delivered once again another banging video
@@OfficialNashTackle Indeed. Absolutely the best camera, editing, grading and hallelujah the music. Really really really almost made us feel the sentiment Alan was probably feeling...The art and craft of angling and editing combined in the best way. From 25:17, I felt I was there. I felt I woke up when Alan started talking again. Amazing.
What a wonderful film. Nash films are the only ones i feel compelled to comment on for many reasons . Well done to Alan for being , un ashamedly , an angler , not just a carp fisherman. These days , and im sure its because its where the money is, its all carp carp carp so who can blame the manufacturers for concentrating on that so applause for Nash for this project. The money could easily have been spent elsewhere yet more views than subscribers so excellent. Brilliant to see John Bailey on film. I had the best days fishing of my life on a small river nr Worchester many years ago fishing for barbel that he managed. Hopefully some youngsters will see this and realise its ok to like other styles and you dont need 5k plus worth of gear, nike air trainers, dodgy haircuts and tatoos to enjoy being outside.
Great video! Really captures the whole experience. It’s a lot like carp fishing in Canada. No records, no info, no names, no weights. Just you and nature, and the future to find out.
Wow Alan and team! Loved this video so much reminded me of a passion for angling series, I know 99% of anglers would know of the amazing cinematography and music that it had and this definitely bought back memories of watching those series on vhs with my dad over and over again. I think what I’m trying to say is thank you for a great film to spark all those memories. And so close with the edit to those epic episodes! Tight lines and wet nets and thank you again Nash 🎣🎣🎣
I wanted to start writing a comment, but I realized that it cannot be described in words. An incredible video with thought and mission. Well, thank you.
Brilliant story many thanks. Alan Blair, brilliant angler who happens to fish for carp, this film make all his other work that much more authoritative.
An amazing film, best Nash one so far. What a venue and portrays the natural magic of fishing. Up there with the Terry Hearn ones. Well done Alan and the Nash team 👏
Really enjoyed this one. Alan was at his best and Dan did an awesome job of capturing the magic of the place. Lakes like this are incredibly rare. At the start, Alan talked of how the lake would be in in 50 years time. The sad truth is that is might not exist...
Being a young angler, Its films like these that seriously give me the urge to uncover hidden gems like these with cracking fish in their waters. Unreal work from Alan and the team once again, gives me real drive and determination to take my angling to different levels. 🎣👏
Alan what a beautiful beautiful magic video Nash should be so proud of you. You are truly the best ambassador for the sport. I've been carp angling since the eighties and your enthusiasm for sport helps keep me going. Still getting the butterflies in my stomach every time I go. Cheers Alan!!!

Sickdiculus. Absolutely love it. The perfect combination of two artists blended together. Alan & Dan. Two of my favourite people in the world.
