@@OverseerPC-Hardware oh I get it, but using this gpu on low settings is a bit of a shame and with the upscalers.. but yeah for esports titles this gpu will still hold just fine, but cpu must be a little better to keep those frames stable. But for AAA games only 8GB+ VRAM gpus are worth considering

Yup, Good CPU performance is essential in these applications, and you got to do what got to do.. to get those kills (even if it means sacrificing fidelity). And yes I do agree that having more VRAM is definitely good. However, my goal is also to help viewers make informed decisions - bigger number is not always better (especially in these scenarios).

There's plenty of factors bro - this is on Performance Mode. That's pretty low, if that's on Performance mode.

I really hope you didn't follow most of the Fortnite 'optimisation' guides you find in YT (a lot of it is misinformation and I see some potentially going to cause issues with registry). Anyway, what I did here is pretty simple - disabled e-cores, enabled XMP, make sure your GPU drivers are correctly installed (including uninstalling any previous Nvidia drivers). Yes, Valorant is a CPU bound game, like any other competitive game. However, what we're looking at here is the driver overhead. In theory, they should be exactly the same but it's not - the other card is less consistent and this is critical in PvP.

Unfortunately, I don't have any 8th gen hardware. However, it also depends on what 8th gen we talking. Is that the i7 6c/12t?

@@OverseerPC-Hardware graphics cards back then were so expensive.. I bought 900$ laptop in that time, and right now it's worth maybe 30% of that price today, but it's serving me a still sustainable performance in games, but I plan to switch to AMD in next months

Thanks for the feedback, I could do that however this is how they would set things up in an actual game. Less visual clutter = faster kills. I'm mostly trying to show how different GPUs display driver overhead on this game. 👍

There will be some that struggle going past 200. It's not the same as a few chapters ago. Since UE5, the hardware performance is totally different compared to earlier Fortnite.
