Hello, Cassandra! Thanks a million for your work! ❤ I have one small doubt left. May I ask you about a few things? 1. After the skin has got used to 9-10% AHA / PHA peeling (as well as to these acids in cream & tonic), is it allowed to immediately try 30% (The Ordinary) after a concentration of 10%? 2. After using a 30% peel for some time, is there any point in continuing to use the less concentrated acid peels (as with 9-10% AHA/PHA/BHA)? Thanks again for your time ❤

Hi Cassandra, I had quite a serious mental health problems this year and when getting back on track I found your videos. I improved my skincare routine because of you and it is now my ritual which really helps me with mental health.
I am looking forward to a time when I use Heimish all clean balm because of it's scent. It truly makes me happy and I was wondering if you could make a video about scented products you came across for people who enjoy sensory experience during their routine? 😊

Congrats on your MH and skincare improvements! I hope you are continuing to thrive! 💖💖 Personally, I avoid any frangrance in skincare as I don’t see any skin benefits in it. However, I’m with you on sensory experiences. I suggest you look into an electronic aromatherapy diffuser. I use different scents based on my mood. However, a lot of essential oils are not good for pets - so if you have any pets, please look into it first. Btw, I also like a lavender linen spray that I spray above my bed before going to sleep. Take care! 🤗

I was getting ready to do my first peel but looking for advice first. I am incredibly grateful I found this video since Im prone to keloids and would probably have messed up my face! I had no idea that peels could cause a keloid to pop up! Thank you for saying this and for being our resident expert on what we should look out for!

    • @BeautyIsMyLife
      @BeautyIsMyLife ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah, I actually already ordered this product and didn't know someone prone to keloids such as myself should avoid them. That's a real bummer...I think I'm going to try it anyway and do the patch test first, leave on only 5 minutes but rinse off immediately if I notice any stinging before that. I have never had a keloid from the neck up though so maybe that makes a difference.

Thank you so so much for this video! This was exactly what I was wondering when it came to this peel. I have been on the fence about whether or not I want to spend money on this product due to my extreme anxiety when it comes to what I need to do before and after using this product on my skin. There’s so much misinformation and scary videos on the internet when it comes to chemical peels. And ever since you taught us how to apply The Ordinary AHA peel on the face a couple videos ago and I had actually been wondering exactly what specific things you could/needed to do to your skin in preparation of giving yourself this chemical peel. I am so terrified at the idea of burning my face off that I have been trying to do as much research as possible when I comes to this product so that isn’t very likely to happen. So this is my BIG Thank you to my Beautiful Big Cyst-er for answering all of these questions/ curiosities I had been having ever since the How to apply The Ordinary AHA chemical peel video. You always know how to give us Beautiful Butterflies what we need. 🦋🦋 🦋 ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

Tysm 💕 I've been scared of this product because some exfoliates leave like *tags* as though some skin is not quite ready to let go. But I realise now I need to slowly introduce active exfoliating ingredients into my routine. With the right prep, I think my skin might actually be OK with this

one mistake I did was waxing my upper lip 3 days after peeling. I ended up with blisters. Well, I learned that my skin is on the sensitive side thanks to this experience. Also, other than aloe vera gel and sunscreen, I avoid anything for 5 days. Then little by little I go back using vitamin C ....etc

Thanks for this! I love this product but have been worried that it may cause the spots on my face to darken. Its good to know what to avoid doing after and before (i.e no other exfoliants) and that Vit C serum is ok plus moisturiser to put on afterwards. I love what this does to my skin but have been shit scared to put other products on afterwards because I'm not sure how they will react on my skin. On my way to becoming a skintellectual!

I noticed when I used my cerave benzoyl peroxide before using the peel it irritated my skin, so now if I know I’m using the chemical peel I use a different cleanser from cerave! Also noticed after the peel if I used the ordinary niacinamide serum it would irritate my skin 😭 so I just use the ordinary hyaluronic acid and cerave moisturizer and it’s a good combo for my combination skin 🤪 it’s truly been a skin care journey figuring out what works and doesn’t!

@@erickhernandez8380 yeah but I’ve started using this pretty infrequently on my body and rely more on a daily salicylic acid body wash. Dr Dray has spoken before about the advantages of using salicylic acid body wash instead of soap. Salicylic acid wash alone may not be enough though so I would definitely recommend trying this. I think once this once or twice a month is helpful but you can use it up to twice a week

Hi Cassandra! First of all, thank you very much for this video! I have a doubt and it would be great if you help me... I was using The Ordinary resveratrol + ferulic acid with the L-ascorbic acid powder everyday before my sunscreen. Some days later, I started using the AHA + BHA once a week. My skin started to get very dry, so I changed the peeling treatment for twice a month. I didn't see a big difference, my skin continued very dry and flaking off. So I stopped all The Ordinary products and continued only with my sunscreen, I also started a moisturizer at night. Now that my skin seems normal, I'd like to try again. Do you have some advice? My unique mistake before: I wasn't using a moisturizer after the peeling... but now I'm in doubt if these products can be used "together"... can I use these? I hope you can see my question, but sorry for my English, I'm from Brazil. Thanks in advance

Hi Cassandra, I purchased the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Retinol 1% in Squalane 30ml, as well), exactly a year ago now, but life is hectic and I actually forgot about them.... My main question is , will they still be ok to use at all? Also, are they the right products to use if I am a 51-year-old woman who has an ugly old scar which she'd love to improve the look of? - Thank you very much in advance!

Cassandra (God I hope you respond to this!), I'm a 62 year old man with great skin, except some large pores on my nose, though Im not acne prone. I've been using The Ordinary BHA/AHA peel 2x week for three weeks. Per my dermatologist I've been using Replenix Retinol Treatment Pads 10x, the strongest version, 3x weeks. My face gets two days of rest (except cleanse and moisturize, and sunscreen during the day). Now lately I've been looking at my skin compulsively. I could swear that the pores on my cheeks have either become larger or are sooooo clean that they've become more visible. Or I'm imagining it all. Waddya' think? Any suggestions?. Thanks in advance for your time and help. Myles

I'm not an expert but I have heard that once you clean all the gunk out of your pores, especially if they were clogged up for a long time, can make them appear larger and more visible once they are cleaned out. I have this same issue and now that my pores are clean, when I put makeup on, the makeup settles into the pores and makes them look even more visible! Kinds looks like grains of rice in the pore but the rice is the same color as the makeup. I have heard that a clay mask can help shrink pores temporarily. I use tretinoin or retinol and I think that has improved the appearance of my pores as well as using antioxidant serums. Before I knew how bad it was, I also use to squeeze my nose and this damages the pore walls which I know has contributed to visibility. Not sure if this applies to you.
It's been a year since your post, has this improved for you?

I am more than 10 years late to your channel. Just discovered your videos and I'm obsessed. As a 27 years old suffering from acne, oily skin, allergies, etc... I have some questions: 1- what do you know about scalp acne? Can you make a video about that? 2- every time I have a summer holiday, from the first day with the sun exposure my skin explodes with acne everywhere. I use 50 SPF but nothing changes. It takes almost 2 weeks for my skin to recover after a vacation. Do you have any idea why this happens? 3: I want to start a routine with the ordinary, but I don't want to use 100 products. Is it enough to start with a cleanser, vitamin C, retinol and moisturizer cream for AM and PM use? 4: As your suffered from allergic reactions, closed nose and other stuff... How did you discovered what happened with you? I did allergy tests but they used general factors and did not cure my evey morning and night sneezes and closed nose. It's been more than 4 years suffering and I had enough. Do you have any advice?
Thank you for your time and passion. You are amazing!

Maybe you can help. I have been using the Ordinary products daily. I have dry mature skin with age some spots. I recently used the AHA BHA peel and when I took it off after 8 minutes my skin felt so soft. The next day when putting makeup on I noticed that my skin was peeling and the makeup would not go on. Does this peel make your skin peel for a few days or does it take the dry skin off when you take it off. Should I try again and see if it will remove the dry skin remaining on my face?

Very unexpected as I've also grown up with acne so I'm used to acids. Previous patch tests didn't cause any irritation. I'm going to bed now, a bit worried how it might be tomorrow. I will say that vitamin c is great for sun damage but i would also try and use hats/other sun protective gear if you can.
