Just ordered this lense and switch to the M50 after getting to 115k subs with my samsung. s9/s10. The difference is night and day (latest video is shot on m50 although completely different LUT to you) and cannot wait for this lense to arrive tomorrow...oh and also, your voice is amazing. You should apply for voiceover work!

basically if you're going to get this camera its amazing if you don't use 4K, the crop/loss of dual pixel, spend more get something better, but if you're down with 1080 like most creators use then you're set with this camera!
This lens is a must for canon mirrorless camera users especially to those who love to take landscape photography in low light condition. For video, it performs pretty well. The only cons with m50 is that it crops in 4k and is lacking dual pixel. For sure canon would relase in the future their upgraded version of m50, aside from their newly released m6 mark ii

Currently in my bag, 10-22mm efs 3.4,4.5 18-150 efm 3.5,6.5 and kit lens 18-45mm enjoying the kit lenses very much lots of fun specially with video, will try de ef-s with the efm adapter in 4K and see how that goes with all the cropping

I'll do a 4k video test where I shoot only in 4k, doable now that I have the wide angle EFM lens. This was 4k down scaled to 1080p since the majority of footage was shot in 1080.

I'm tempted to buy one now, but can I ask if you can send videos via the app to the phone, or via BlueTooth to a computer? How fast is it to transfer? I used Nikon camera and the SnapBridge app, but it does not allow me to transfer videos to other devices...

nice very artistic style, if I had to guess it looks like you're using a longer focal length. If you don't have a wide angle lens the 22mm would be a good option but many of your shots would benefit from something like the sigma 16mm. wider shot and thinner DOF available. check out my review on those and see if you like the look

I've just ordered one myself, arrives next week, but I need to look for an EF Macro option, cos the booster is EF-M mount --> EF lens, and my only Macro for the M50 at the moment is 35mm EF-S Macro (the one with the little light on the front). Would love to see some options compatible with the booster, as I find anything above ISO 400 on the M50 not really worthy for my needs. Thoughts?

Sure, generally I use aperture priority or video mode and have been shooting in FHD 29.97P with AWB white priority. However, in daylight I'll sometimes switch to AWB Daylight depending on what is showing through the EVF.
I went over a manual focus demonstration when comparing it to the Sigma 16mm here th-cam.com/video/nS8RFrS29JQ/w-d-xo.html The 22mm is very smooth and combined with focus peaking has great results with manual focus pulls.

yes since the crop is from the sensor size, so it's a hardware phenomenon. There is additional crop in 4k video imposed by canon firmware.

That's normal it's focusing, the motor is smaller and geared and not the same as in other EF-M lenses.
