Thank you. I have worked at Walmart as a cashier in the past and for me, that was not a hard job. I actually enjoyed it. Tonight will be my first night as an overnight stocker (10p.m. - 7a.m.) and I’ve heard that it’s not too bad. I think it’s all in the way you look at it. Once you learn your job and figure out the best way to do it efficiently, and make sure you’re prepared, you’ll be fine. That has always worked for me so I’m a little excited about getting started. This will be a change for me because I’ve never worked third shift before. However, I’m usually up late at night anyway, and I don’t have regular sleeping patterns so this may work out great for me. We shall see.
@Kito : Funny you should ask. After working for a month as an overnight stocker, I realize that I’m not as young as I used to be. I was tired and sore at first, but I figured I was just out of shape. However, things only got worse. I had thought about applying for another position, but unfortunately where I work, they don’t believe in letting you have any weekend day off at all. It is very important for me to be off on Sundays because that is our family worship day. Therefore, I just went ahead and put in my two week’s notice because I felt like this position was breaking my half- century - young body down. Well…I continued to feel very tired and was starting to feel a little light- headed from time to time. …So I took a COVID test and just found out today that I have COVID. 🤨 Overnight stocking wasn’t so bad and the hours did not really bother me so much. However, I do think it works out better for those who are younger and in half way decent shape physically.

@@crownmemax : Thank you. I appreciate your concern. I’m fine now. Thankfully COVID only made me very tired for about two weeks. While I was working at Walmart I felt a little lightheaded a few times, but thought it was due to my blood pressure being elevated. Anyway, I feel much better now, thank you. I hope all is well with you and your loved ones as well. 🙂
@notified : Thank you. I hope you fare better than I did at Wally World. It’s really not a bad job if you can deal with the little annoyances. Of course anywhere you work there is always going to be something that you don’t necessarily like. You just have to weigh the good with the bad and decide what you are willing to deal with. As the saying goes, that’s life.

Hey man I've been working at Walmart for 3 months up in Cincinnati. Everything you said was accurate tbh and what you thought at is what I thought at first too but its cool and MOST Walmart workers work hard, as do I.
Also hope you get that raise too causs im excited about it 😁.

From my time there all the people were getting high on their lunch breaks and could not be lazier. They care more about their phone than their job too.
I've been at walmart for about 6 years as overnight mod team associate and its okay, my management team kinda sucks though. it definitely is good pay, probably the only reason why I'm still there
I hope my past toxic coworkers lose everything in their life and they go to Hell. It's fair game.
I became homeless again and unemployed again.
I was an overnight stocker $18.50/per hour which I deserve that pay. I was an actual good worker, I got things done.
People tried to get rid of me last year and when I came back into the civilian from the military. I actual left last month. Alot of people like my toxic coworkers don't deserve to have a job and don't deserve anything. My toxic coworkers, they move slow and just waste time and yet they still had the job...they deserve to get fired but their not!.
It gets worse, that I tried to transfer and the thing is.....some of my coworkers, they contacted the other Wal-Mart somehow and made sure to reject me of the opportunity to transfer stores. Yup, based on true story.

I got for stocking I'm 16 got orenatation on April break I'm from Canada 🇨🇦 too but in Scarborough how hard it is I can only work 3 days due to school cause I have hard subjects for the last few quad semester
I feel you man. I work at safeway as night crew associate which we do same thing stocking but it's excruciating from 11pm-7:30am and there were days I didn't have enough food and water. I'm really into like workout so everyday I would just get 2-4 hours of sleep and workout and study. I'm applying for walmart right now and hopefully they take me in cause graveyard shift just doenst work you know.

I just got done with my interview, my position is stockman 2. It looks overwhelming cause of all the boxes, but at the same time it’s just common sense where to put things at and I will be okay If i ask questions cause it will be my first week if I don’t know where to put things at. Rn I’m waiting on a call back, and a background check. Wish me luck.

My brother lol. But gardner and seasonal is pretty chill for the people at my Walmart they don’t complain about it or anything.
lol there is nothing "excruciating" about being a stocker. One of the easiest jobs I've ever had.

Great question. I work Cap-2 so we have a truck at 2pm that we have to unload and sort which on average takes about 2 hours
@@dirtydyl3030 I am a grocery associate at my store but I have helped Cap team 2 out unloading the truck because they were short-handed and I actually liked doing that and I help them pull pallets out just about every day

bro we are in the same place right now, so i’m 17 and also in high school, i’m going to be working as an online shopper because the pay in chicago starts off at $17 an hour which is pretty decent and plus my hours are nice

I don’t do OGP but every one that ik that does it loves it so I’m sure you will to. Just be patient and understand even your team lead had to go through training at what point so if you make a mistake it’s ok

I got orientation on Tuesday and from what my shift manager said I'll be a stocker and I work from 2pm to 11pm and this will be my first job at 20 I just hope I do good 😅

Im a stocker as well and man it's hard work but worth it I love it at walmart
Literally one of the easiest jobs you could have. You open boxes, put them on the shelf, and unload trucks now and then. I did it for five years and it always blow my mind when people say it's hard work. It's tedious, but not hard at all.

The max hours you can work part time is 32 or 34 I believe and it’s gonna be a little hard to be hired at 16 but it is possible and worth a try if your looking for a job.
