I admit the first time I checked out your channel a month ago I was like... "oh here we go again..." "Another tuber regurgitating the same old same old, and showing us how awesome his life is while ours sucks." I kept watching, and realized that is not who you are, and you are genuinely trying to help people escape their chains in the easiest way possible. You aren't exploiting the bar girls for ten times the views, or using clickbait thumbnails. You are actually doing exactly what I'm planning to do right now. I'm still 4 years out, because I have 26 years towards a 30 year railroad pension being locked in. (at 51 years old at that time) I can't collect it until I'm 60, but if you think I'm giving them another 9 years so that I can afford to live in the US for $10k per month, you would be wrong. I'll cut my cost down to $1500-$2500 a month and hit the road! Always look forward to your videos now, because you cover the real topics, not just the daydream stuff. You've done your homework, and learned a lot of shit the hard way already for us. Keep them coming!

That's exactly where I'm at 1,500 a month top in 2300 a month that's what I'm looking at I agree with you Mr Railroad Man😂😂😂 I'm in the process of selling my house as we speak and trying to go enjoy what little life I have left😢😢😢 but I'm going to 66 and 8 months old that's it😢 I don't want to leave without my full pension from Social Security 401K I've been had that but I can't leave without Social Security I don't like going back and forth😂😂

"You aren't exploiting the bar girls for ten times the views."
TH-cam is without any morals or ethics allowing this.
Some of the creepiest Vloggers are even filming with hidden cameras in clubs where filming is not allowed in order to protect the poor girls. Some of the girls are clearly underage...TH-cam couldn't care less.

Back in Hawaii, there are signs in the front of the restaurant explaining to expect crap service due to "being short-staffed" . In Kona, fast-food restaurants hire homeless people and pay them daily wages. Yea, real bad. So glad I left. Love Asia!

Aloha. You’re looking well for sure. Yes, we were in VN, Cambodia and Thailand and everything was affordable and people in SE Asia are working very hard. Teenager to elderly. Saw some elderly with tiny bodies and carry lots of stuff on their shoulders to sell either a homegrown or homemade food in the hot sun. 😂brought me to tears 😭. we will try to avoid the hot month of May for travel in the future. I found Bangkok that not too many can speak English so we had a little issue with language barrier and the sign read wasn’t easy to remember. We are in Bangkok Chinatown, busy amid lively with all vendors and tourists.😀. Thanks for a great video. We enjoyed your education conversation. 👍Aloha

Never been to Malaysia, Thailand 9 times, Cambodia, Vietnam and Philippines. We have 2 million in passive income (7% ROI, plus uptick in stock value), plus Canada pensions at age 65 of @$2400 a month, if you spend less than you make you will have a good retirement, hard to feel sorry for people with poor financial planning, and bad health decisions, alcohol, cigarettes and processed food will kill you, poor financial planning will kill retirement, live below your means, eat healthy food, live longer without health issues, and be able to travel the world, not a complicated concept, most will only be able to dream about travelling and be without health problems, very sad

What is the hotel you found for $500 a month including utilities? That is a really good find. I'm thinking I should give it try it myself. I searched extensively and could not find any place for monthly rental within walking distance of the central area for less than about $650. Additionally, the different places I've been staying since arrival have had a lot of problems, sometimes very serious problems, and management does not seem to take maintenance seriously. If things are broken, they don't want to fix them. In my current place the dryer is broken and they told me to just dry things on the rack outside. That's fine for light clothing but as you know in this humidity there are some things that just won't dry well outside. I also have had a hard time finding quiet places. Where I am now there is very loud noise from the nearby freeway and it gets especially bad at night. I'm often awakened at night by those souped up motorcylces that make an insane amount of noise which race down the freeway all night long - and this is despite having all windows closed, wearing good quality earplugs, and using a white noise machine to try and block noise!! Is this place you're at now good and free of these kinds of problems? I really need a better option when my rental ends here.

I can only confirm from my own experience of living in KLCC in Kuala Lumpur, how good the quality of life / price ratio is. But for crime, even though I agree and it is true, crime here is rare in comparioson to "The West' ( I am from Northern Europe), it is not due to law enforcement. In my opinion the one thing missing here in Malaysia, is law enforcement. There is hardly any surveillance, there is hardly any police in public places and when you do need them, they are hiding and ducking down their tables in their poorly maintained police stations. Only when you drive your car along the roads, you may suddenly be stopped by them and asked to pay for speeding, which you probably even didn't. Corruption in the police force, targeting foreigners, is rampant and it is well known.I do think the main reason why there is low crime (there is some crime, be aware), is cultural: Malaysians are so tolerant, respectful and hospitable. Like most Asians they are not confrontational, they do not intend bad. Of course there is less visible crime, such as petty theft, drug abuse, burglary and scamming (a lot of scamming, mind you), but in general the streets are safe and you won't be bothered.

It can be done cheaper. He spends more in lodging and food that could save a few hundred dollars a month.

@@Philip_Chongthat’s crazy, I could work 2 days a month and I’d be able to afford that haha. I’m leaving Canada soon, just deciding where to go. I want to stay within a few hours of New York time

If you have time check out Titiwanswa park in KL which is adjacent to MRT station. I think it is on par with both of your favourite parks plus there is outdoor exercise area adjacent to lake.
My favourite place to exercise and then have a coffee 😂

What a lovely day and a wonderful walk in the parks and gardens around KL, they are simply beautiful, ideal for walking, jogging, 'running', setting your mind for the day.

@@RetireandGo Yes, it is, KLCC always makes me feel good watching people enjoying their time at the park or just watching the Petronas Twin Towers. It's been a worthwhile experience working with the KLCC project team from the foundation work to completion of the project. 😀

My father , who was a man of few words, took me aside back in 1972 finishing high school and suggested I go into this computers thing ( in his own words)..He worked in a major newspaper company in Montreal and also saw the writing on the wall..Maybe I should listen to you and mention the AI investment route to my advisor..Thankyou for the scoop..

My escape or running from Europe is the high cost of living, running away from my stressful job and of course the cold long wintertime! As you say, f.ex. living in SEA is by far more enjoyable and affordable, i have great hotels with nice rooms, restaurants, food, healthcare (tooth cleaning), beauty treatements (massage, face etc.) and i feel my energy is coming back, i fill up my power and my love for traveling. Another good content to make me and all thinking about why we do what we do ? Aloha, thank you, stay great and enjoy Life ! ❤😊👍
