I want to learn the IR data of a ACORN 130 T700 Stair Chair Lift. I have an old URC9910 learning remote. It learns the IR data with a SUCCESS message. The problem is the original remote sends a continuous stream of IR to tell the chair to go up or down and keep it going up or down. The Learning remote only sends out a burst of an IR. I listen to the data on a AM radio tuned down to around 530 KHz and it sounds just like the original except it doesn't continuously send the IR signal. Do you know of any IR Learning remotes that will reproduce another IR remote and offer continuous streaming while I am holding down the learned button?
Roku TV's have infra red remotes that do not need pairing. The different brands of Roku TV will have their own infra red codes so if you have two Roku TV's from the same brand the remotes will work interchangeably. If they are different brands then each remote is incompatible with the other TV.
Hi, Unfortunately the Fire TV remote will not control the Virgin Box and the reverse is also true. Your best option may be to try turning on HDMI CEC for all your devices. I have tried this with a Fire TV stick and the Fire TV can be controlled with the TV remote. Go to the Fire TV settings and HDMI CEC is listed under Display and Sound. I am not personally familiar with the Virgin TV box, and I saw conflicting information online as to whether it supports CEC. You can go through the settings menus and see if that option is there. If not then it is possible that the Virgin remote can be programmed to operate your TV, and therefore control the fire stick via the TV. If this is available you would have seen it in the initial setup. If the Virgin Box has only a single device remote and no CEC then your best option is a universal learning remote. Teach the remote to control the Virgin Box and the TV, and control the Fire TV through HDMI CEC from the TV. The fire TV itself is not supported by most universal remotes. I cover the Universal Learning Remote in this Video th-cam.com/video/G8-suocygjA/w-d-xo.html The learning remote can copy the codes from the virgin box remote even if the box is not listed in the code list in the remote instructions.

@rogergadgetguy Many thanks for your reply Roger and for the hugely informative TH-cam videos. I will have a go at this soon.
