Hi Lucy If you just want to control the TV this remote is the easiest to set up, Just push and hold the brand select button for three seconds. There is no need to look up any brand codes. i saw in the list of the receivers harman kardon. i have hk670 which is from 79 do you think this remote will work on it??

I have not tested this receiver, but I would expect the remote to work. You can return it in the unlikely event it doesn't.
