I had that camera for a long time. Had a few accidents with dropping it, and it still performed flawlessly. Camcorders are the best with showing up, taking out of the bag, turning on, and filming in seconds.
Yes!… that's one of the things that I love about them too. No need to worry about; lenses, ND filters, cages, mics, or external XLR inputs… flip the switch, and we're live baby!… 😎

As I have now added an XF305, I'm tinkering with the idea of upgrading the XF300 to another 305 for the timecode link. I'm also considering adding a XF205 to the line up.

Hi man. Nice video. And the jaguars. I have the 2008 jaguar XF 4.2 sv8 .. .. I love camcorders. A few years ago I had the xlh1a but now i have the canon c100 mk1 24-105 L and the picture is super. I record it on an external ninja blade 🙂

It must've been Beginners Luck! It came with the camera from MPB. I've only seen these barn door lens hoods on XF605 or XF705 cameras.
