I know this is two years old, but if I'm low HP and we're losing a teamfight, I'll intentionally split off from the fight and run back towards the enemy jungle to force a chase and get some of the pressure off the team. I HATE it when my teammates can't get a clue and retreat, and decide to turn around and chase the enemies chasing me back into the enemy jungle. Like bro, I get it. You got a big peen, and you're not afraid of a fight. But dying like an idiot is not helping, so just retreat and go back to farming. Please.
I'm glad you adressed BM'ing. THis is the major reason I can't get into conquest, it's the worst and deepest circle of hell in the Smite community. It's even worse than the Siege community and that's bad. I just can't get into conquest, and I really want to, because of the people playing it.
i would mention the farming aspect as well: players who back just before the wave is approaching, or players who are wandering to your lane looking for a fight, sitting on your lane, stealing your farm and missing all the farm from their lane, players who ignore the jungle camp just next to them for minutes it kills me when i am support because i cant clear these jungle camps by myself (at least without consuming a lot of time) and the jungler or adc just sit on lanes...

best way to combat this is to use VGS, VHH = help. if you start the buff using the help vgs will ping on the map and usually someone will come and help you. other than that i suggest you play fafnir or terra they can clear most camps by themselves with a bumbas mask starter.
yeah hard to carry as support, i am proficient as warrior solo too which also consist in being tanky and fighting at melee range, maybe you should try that so you can have a wider god pool and adapt to various situations i created a smurf account just to practice all the other roles im not familiar with, if you try to practice new roles on a lvl30 account you can expect a lot of hate for being noob at a role even in casuals, this is the smite community for you
i think bumbas mask is a good idea, i saw it on a khepri in the SPL, i guess to clear jungle camps faster might try and replace lonos mask by bumbas mask, very interesting gold bonus and faster jungle clear edit: not to mention the sustain provided by bumbas
This is another weird thing I see in low ranks: People don't use their ults unless in a PERFECT situation. Sometimes it is okay to use your ult to cause someone to back or to use it to prevent your team from dying even if you're not a support. I see this most commonly with hun batz. A hun batz won't ult because he is afraid the ult will look pointless or he doesn't feel like he is going to get a kill from it. It irritates me the most when people don't use ults more frequently on gods like Bellona, Amaterasu, or Ra who have shorter ult cooldowns.
I can understand that but I'm one who saves the ult till a favorable sanerio shows up especially when playing chang'e and Artemis due to how their ults work both stun and do dps but can be used in combination to alow for massive damage
I'm a Paladins console player. The Vgs layout looks the same, but has the orders different from us. I had to write them down on a paper to learn them on the fly. That tip is solid.
I'm glad that you mentioned people only being able to play 1 or 2 roles because it's really annoying when my friend goes he bo support or serqet solo just because he doesn't like that role.
@@fearinshadow2886 warding in the first 2 minutes seems kinda useless unless your 100% certain that your to be rotated on extremely early and even then the better idea would be to cut them off from doing so. Not saying wards dont have value but first 2 minutes, a jungler dhould be farming duo lane should be fighting duo lane and maybe midlane should get wards that early but solo lane. Also seriously its pointless to ward the enemy blue buff, warding closer to lane or speed buff (at least as of season 5) would be insanely better because that lead to better stealing of enemy jungle buffs. Honestly i wish the support blessing gave a chalice of the oracle like effect, league of legends has items that do this at least in a similar respect.
I'd LIKE to know VGS, but unlike TF2's system it is absolutely complex, and I have only managed to memorize how to access taunts and laugh. I might keep trying
The King Definitely keep trying it out. You'll soon memorize certain commands that are very helpful in game. Don't get discouraged if you can't quite find a certain command in time or misclick.

the worst thing in ranked are people who don't play auras on supp. They prolly think that ethereal staff is better than gauntlet of thebes in every single situation.
And with all due respect we should tell that players in all ranks HAVE TO know and understand when to use abilities. To me that is the most important issue. I've seen so many players especially supports where they suddenly bump into an enemy player around the corner and they without a thought cc them for no reason. It's pointless. Along with that keeping track of at least some of the important elements of the game is quite crucial too. Like if you're jungle and ganking, hit tab and see their items before you do that. Know what to expect from them. In time you do that normally that you'll know all of the players' builds in the game. Quick addition to warding thing, when you or a team mate or your minions are in the range of enemy you can see their build. See if they've picked up any wards by displaying tab menu. Then occasionally check it to see if they have placed that ward. That way you may guess where the ward is. Thank you for the video Duke. Awesome thought and great work!

I remember when I started smite I used to have lots of papers with builds & VGS wrote on it. I also watched lots of streams from hirez employees or from pro players to learn how to build & rotate around the map. Then to force me to watch more the map I remember I almost put it on the middle of the screen to get used to watch it often & know where my teammates/enemies were at x')
Chance Maline To avoid any confusion, I'll just explain all different types. There exists 4 different types of penetration. Percentage reduction, flat reduction, Percentage penetration, and flat penetration. They are also calculated in game in this order. Percentage reduction is the type of pen from Executioner and Demonic Grip. Flat reduction comes from items such as Void Stone and Void Shield, and even in god kits such as Anhur's passive and Cernunnos' Autumn debuff. Reduction penetration benefits not only the user but also your allies. Percentage penetration exists in items such as Obsidian Shard and Titan's Bane and even in Scylla's 2 and Kali's passive. Flat penetration exists in a lot of the items in the Mace tree, and Magic Focus tree and plenty of other items. These forms of penetration benefit only the user. To answer your question, flat penetration is typically absent from god kits and is only obtainable from items, traditionally being listed as a stat on items (e.g Jotunn's Wrath, Brawler's Beatstick, Dynasty Plate Helm, Spear of Desolation). This type of penetration is calculated last, and ignores a "flat" amount of protections. Percentage penetration can be found in god kits as mentioned above and in items. This type of penetration is calculated before flat penetration but after the other two, and ignores a "percentage" of an enemy's protections. Hopefully I didn't confuse you. If I were to add one thing, it would be "learn to play support (and at least two different types of tanks)" since support is often the last picked role, and since I started being a support main, my games have been getting MUCH better in a relatively short period of time.

Could I get some help on these? Any GOOD help will do. 1- More specific details on when to rotate. Like I understand in-between waves but do I do that every wave? When my ult is up? etc. Just to be safe so I don't become angry for no reason and after a while realize how stupid I was. 2- When to leave the ADC when supporting? I see a lot of supports leave their ADCs to farm alone and while I understand why I don't understand when and what do I do after that? I follow mid/jungle all the time? 3- When to go for gold fury/portal demon? I see SPL games where the teams go for gold fury when everyone on the other team is up and go at it the second it spawns but whenever I play the gold fury gets killed like twice during the whole game or something like that and people only go for it when the WHOLE enemy team is dead. 4- Tips on conserving mana. I always always always buy Transcendence on ability-based hunters and some assassins because I can't conserve my mana. Seriously early game I can't do anything because I'm always out of mana which annoys me and I know I need to work on it but I don't know where to start. I use my abilities to clear but I also use it to poke sometimes in-between waves but it drains my mana. I've tried only using my abilities to clear but I still ran out of mana. It's not only Hunters though, early game for pretty much anyone is deadly for me. Support is killer for me since I use a lot of abilities to either keep the enemies away, attack the enemies or clear. 6- And finally, like you mentionned, how to fight on the defense? When I'm behind I usually farm under tower and go for buffs sometimes when I remember that I can do that but in casuals and low level ranked they still dive you and kill you even if you're hiding under tower with full hp. The only times I've managed to actually fight under tower is when I was against high level players in a viewer game and they didn't try to dive me and I managed to get back up but I can't do the same in casuals/ranked unless I've been doing it wrong.
1. I myself prefer farming jungle buffs in-beetwen waves, if there's no jungle left then I'd rotate, but It depends on other factors too. If I see my allies pushed into towers that's a good ganking opportunity, even though jungle is not cleared, if I have enough health, mana, abilities and actives to ensure a clean kill or two. Also before ganking it's good to press tab and see enemy actives so you dont get surprised. 2. Leave adc when you think they can solo clear wave, usually level 5-6. From then on you can look to gank mid or if there's no gank opportunity just stay for the wave and help in clearing jungle. Ganking solo is not adviseable, especially if gold fury is up. Also, if there's no jungle left and both your jungler and mid are in mid lane you can look to gank duo lane. Don't worry if there's no gank opportunities. The most important thing is to not fall back on experience. 3.You should go for objectives when you're ahead. That way you can force the fight and get more ahead. Also if you get a kill or two you can go for objectives, unless they have gods that can easily steal like Chaac. The most important thing is to zone enemies properly then. Also if there's like 4 man gank on your solo you can get gold fury easily. 4. On conserving mana I have nothing smarter to say than buy 1-2 mana pots. Also if you're mid/jungler you'll usually clear lane/buffs with your teammate (jungler/mid) so you dont have to spam abilities all the time. 5. On playing from behind you gotta recognize which fights you can take. Opponents can sometimes get cocky from ahead and go for 2v4 or something which you can win even from behind most of the time. Also you gotta recognize if they can dive you, giving up your tower is still a better choice than to die and still lose tower, so just run if you can. Also good positioning is crucial. Take safe routes from one lane to other.
No problem. Hope it helps you! Also, common, but really big mistake imo that people make is forcing fights when they have a lot of gold in hand. Even if your team is ahead in gold you might lose a teamfight because you didn't spend that gold to buy items. So the crucial thing is to recognize damage spikes, both yours and of your enemy before forcing a fight. I myself don't really pay attention to it most of the time but I think that's really important.
in most games i have played i have never seen any opponent ward when my team usually does. and on the few occasions when i do see my opponents wards it seems like the moment they put it down they scoop it back up again.
My main source of information in learning Smite was people bitching at me in chat. While it's annoying, they do (most of the time) have a reason for complaining if you're new and don't know everything. Obviously, that doesn't mean what they're doing is okay but if you don't know many people who also play Smite and you don't spend that much time learning from internet sources then it's the best way to get better. I just wish people would give me more detail when they complain. "Shit build" doesn't tell me the issue.
I've lost track of the amount of players that don't build flat pen or worse the ones that build late game items in early and as a result aren't as consistent as they should be
I played with one person that was playing support, that would not buy wards. Their reasoning was that "they wanted to focus on getting their entire build finished before buying stuff like wards."
So with what you said about not missing important calls when you mmute someone(mostly) do you still think hi Rez should have a "half mute" function? And with regards to builds it sounds like you're saying copy pros unless you know what you're doing?
He doesn't necessarily mean copy pro builds until you know what to do, because pros can get away with riskier builds that usually wouldn't work because they play in a team of well communicating players
sailornaruto39 Lol Pros know how to build. So copying them is an amazing idea and choice. I think once you're comfortable with that god build whatever you feel like but obviously it needs to work dont build all lifesteal hunter or all crit warrior. I dont copy any pro builds because I know how to play all the gods enough. Plus sometimes you're counterbuilding so you cant really "copy" it's all situational.
Half mute would be nice, minus chat and vgs like "you rock", but I doubt it'll ever happen - it has been requested for so long an nothing has changed. I wouldn't say copy pros necessarily, just generally find builds you can refer to either from pros or other reliable build sources. At the same time, copying pros is still better than building entirely unsynergistic trash. It just depends on the knowledge that is already there

The kill thing happens WAAAY to much in assault. Doesn't matter who I end up playing, I always end up having to destory the tower myself because my team just chases 1 guy with 1 health until the rest of his team comes back to defend.
In assault as a mage Chronos pendant is an almost mandatory first item so I don't usually see pen until 3rd or 4th item there. Not super relevant I know but I still feel like justifying my doing that "mistake" in basically every game
I don't bother playing ranked in any moba because people don't really listen. I only use the ping feature and mute the chat, while myself use the chat strictly for league of legends champion ults are down and in that game there is a new enemy ward ping feature. Haven't played SMite in a few months but the VGS feature is connected to the chat so if you mute someone then you cannot hear their VGS commands though they are toxic and may spam them I think HiRez games should allow a minimalism of vgs per match instead of muting the vgs out completely and if you tell that player has been vgs and chat muted then they might reconsider in toxic spaming vgs commands and save them for when their calls or warnings really matter.
on lower levels of ranked knowing how to play from behind gets me BM'd so much because I won't participate in teamfights that we cannot win regardless.
That not looking backwards thing is a double edged sword in my opinion. Sometimes the enemy predicts your path and you cant hear them throw an ability until its too late. If its an enemy that can hit you from a distance i say look back, but if he's right on your tail then yes its pointless to look back bc even if he misses the ability, he can still basic you.
these tips are helpful, but I found most of these tips centered at ranked conquest and joust, not so much at duel. I play mostly duel, these tips will be helpful when players similar to me who'll eventually do conquest and joust.
I like how somebody is complaining to your team after you won the game. I'll add that in any online game, usually once your team starts pointing fingers and arguing you've already lost, so I wouldn't feel bad about loses like that.
You can generally avoid 6 by using VGS and saying "attack this tower", "attack this phoenix" and so on. Unless the player is russian they will usually help you.
not watch behind you one ult you should check for ... if enemy has ey janus (and if youre already out of range of standard ults and enemy players also neith if enemy neith is far away and you need to wait with sanctuary till long ranged arrow is in range of under 2 seconds
I'm trying to learn the VGS better. The ones I know best are the retreat/careful lines, the I'm attacking/retreating/defending/ganking/going for buff/returning to base lines, my ult cd lines (I can't remember enemy ult incoming or enemy ult down though :/) and the enemy missing lines. The best way for me to remember that the F key coincides with "missing" is to think it like "Fuuuuuuuck" lol What are some other crucial ones?
Ugh I don't play ranked a lot but you got a lot of sense for the points tbh if I did the top thing I'd never do is wording cause I all most never see much point in doing so... but then yet agin guess pve has dulled my "blade" (sences) due to how easy they are to beat even if you do somthing like Artemis jungle....
Iv been stuck playing casual conqust cus of all the toxic nature in ranked. I pretty much only buy under the tab popular items and sometimes i mix it up depending scenario.
I predicted an enemy nemesis on my tail after I took on four enemies - killed two - and had to run. I didn't know nemesis was behind me, but i had a feeling, so i used bludgeon and heard the hammer hit someone so i turned around quick and slammed down my hammer. Low and behold that hungry nemesis got squished. It felt good.
Meh I'll stick to casuals. Only times I played ranked I ended up with far worse players than casuals by a long shot. No one in casual rushes the enemy at lvl 4 while the enemy is lvl 5 with no minion or god support.

you do realize if you are playing with these low levels, it means you are complete shit right? it means that those low levels got their elo/mmr boosted very quickly for being good at the game. if you are level 30 playing with level 15's, it means you are garbage. think of another one.
for example, i played a level 1 account and went 47-1, 55-0, 25-3 and i was level 4 playing with level 30's by the 3rd or 4th game. it means their elo matches yours, and they are either really good or youre really bad.
I can't say I expect you to, but could you please do a video on team morale? Its more important then people realize. Its not just that you'll have a more clear mind in a game where you need to make good and quick decisions. Whether your team plays aggressive or defensive, likes to group up or split push, everyone needs to be cohesive and it seems even though I'm in diamond this split a good chunk of people don't seem to realize it . . . and good ways to keep up morale too. Those "no problem"s and the GENUINE "you rock" helps with that cohesiveness too. I've won games off of a FG steal, just because everyone on my team has their faith in each other restored while on the enemy team every ones yelling about how it happened and has lowered morale and trust, allowing for easier picks. Another thing I've noticed is that if there is for example an almost pre made team, picking on the enemy member of the team that isn't pre made helps split up enemies. Their teamwork falls apart when they see the random go 1-7 ya know? there's a lot to discuss here.

B'm is annoying of course, vgs I completely got the hang of when I first started playing Smite, I do have problems when it comes to juking but I do know about looking at the map unless I need to dodge an ability and I need to look which is almost never. Playing when behind or when to rotate, I do get confused, especially as mid like," so do I rotate with the kid or should I have tower pressure since I always seem to have a lot of that". Item builds I do pretty well but I'm still confused about the titans bane/ executioner thingy(which viable pen items as an adc) and stuff. Going for kills instead of objectives is not too big of an issue on my part but I've had teammates do that a lot before. Also, in terms of roles, I'm at least ok with all of them, but I just dislike playing the duo lane roles cuz it feels so....bland. Map awareness isn't a problem really. I usually get caught off guard in the middle of a small skirmish in the mid lane, which brings me to warding... the wards just stay in my consumables all game xD. So.... I guess I'm not a bronzie. I mean, I've climbed up to platinum(sort of without the help of weird ranking placements)

From my time playing in diamond 4. I have realized running in a straight works better than dodging. Higher level players expect you to go left or right. (Of course don't do it a lot but it throws them off)
I don't understand why some people don't counter build or why they build poorly. My friends taught me counter building my very 1st day of smite. And with building poorly, people just need to take a second and build and theory craft, crunch the numbers, I've spent hours in jungle practice for each patch just seeing if my build is somewhat viable, people just choose the easy way out, the path of least resistance, instead of trying to improve and get better.😀

A lot of players also seem to only care about high damage (usually the types of players that think that they're the best because they have top player damage) so they'll neglect any beneficial items for it. Many players also think that they're good enough to not need it.
There are times when you are in a team full of random players. They use commands like ver, vvgh, vew, vvw, vrr otherwise no one uses it, still do good and win the game.
The only role that I utterly suck at is Jungle. The part about Wards should be addressed all the time, as majority of the time I'm THE ONLY person warding.
I always buy chalice, way cheaper than buying a bunch of wards all game, even before chalice I averaged 12-20 wards per game. In fact before chalice, I bought the active so I saved money then too. With tele relic (or trinket, or active as they used to be called...) It's pretty effective to get around the map and have vision. Tele is very underrated imo.
Another thing on warding, I see a lot of people only buying wards at six slot when there is nothing else to buy, you should be buying wards all game long. I also see people making simple mistakes then blaming a lack of wards on the map and usually the tank. For example, you're in a game of 3v3, you agress when one of the enemies is missing and then get jumped on by said enemy. At this I have seen a lot of people moan about how the tank sucks for not warding, or saving their lives, etc. Yes people should ward, but caution when you have no vision is still common sense. And warding is a team effort, everyone should do it.
I'm diamond 5 and I got match up with bronze players. They threw me off when they ran in a straight line lol. It took about 10 mins until I got use to it

This is another weird thing I see in low ranks: People don't use their ults unless in a PERFECT situation. Sometimes it is okay to use your ult to cause someone to back or to use it to prevent your team from dying even if you're not a support. I see this most commonly with hun batz. A hun batz won't ult because he is afraid the ult will look pointless or he doesn't feel like he is going to get a kill from it. It irritates me the most when people don't use ults more frequently on gods like Bellona, Amaterasu, or Ra who have shorter ult cooldowns.

The King Definitely keep trying it out. You'll soon memorize certain commands that are very helpful in game. Don't get discouraged if you can't quite find a certain command in time or misclick.
It's easy to memorize because the keys you use are synchronized with the sentence you want to say. For example, "VVN" is "No!" and "VVY" is "Yes!"
Just go to a game with bots and practice it there for a while, it'll get better.

the worst thing in ranked are people who don't play auras on supp. They prolly think that ethereal staff is better than gauntlet of thebes in every single situation.
And with all due respect we should tell that players in all ranks HAVE TO know and understand when to use abilities. To me that is the most important issue. I've seen so many players especially supports where they suddenly bump into an enemy player around the corner and they without a thought cc them for no reason. It's pointless. Along with that keeping track of at least some of the important elements of the game is quite crucial too. Like if you're jungle and ganking, hit tab and see their items before you do that. Know what to expect from them. In time you do that normally that you'll know all of the players' builds in the game.
Quick addition to warding thing, when you or a team mate or your minions are in the range of enemy you can see their build. See if they've picked up any wards by displaying tab menu. Then occasionally check it to see if they have placed that ward. That way you may guess where the ward is.

I also watched lots of streams from hirez employees or from pro players to learn how to build & rotate around the map. Then to force me to watch more the map I remember I almost put it on the middle of the screen to get used to watch it often & know where my teammates/enemies were at x')

What's the difference between flat and percentage pen?
Chance Maline To avoid any confusion, I'll just explain all different types. There exists 4 different types of penetration. Percentage reduction, flat reduction, Percentage penetration, and flat penetration. They are also calculated in game in this order.
Percentage reduction is the type of pen from Executioner and Demonic Grip. Flat reduction comes from items such as Void Stone and Void Shield, and even in god kits such as Anhur's passive and Cernunnos' Autumn debuff. Reduction penetration benefits not only the user but also your allies.
Percentage penetration exists in items such as Obsidian Shard and Titan's Bane and even in Scylla's 2 and Kali's passive. Flat penetration exists in a lot of the items in the Mace tree, and Magic Focus tree and plenty of other items. These forms of penetration benefit only the user.
To answer your question, flat penetration is typically absent from god kits and is only obtainable from items, traditionally being listed as a stat on items (e.g Jotunn's Wrath, Brawler's Beatstick, Dynasty Plate Helm, Spear of Desolation). This type of penetration is calculated last, and ignores a "flat" amount of protections.
Percentage penetration can be found in god kits as mentioned above and in items. This type of penetration is calculated before flat penetration but after the other two, and ignores a "percentage" of an enemy's protections.

I main support, and the worst is when my teammates complain about there not being enough wards in the jungle, always spamming "we need wards" and i take a look at the stats screen at the end of the game, they usually place 0, maybe 1 at times. It's like, if you want wards buy them yourself i ward as much as i can

I make a LOT of these mistakes and they've been really hindering my gameplay as of late (not all, but a lot) (and friends are getting frustrated with me as of late because of it)

Could I get some help on these? Any GOOD help will do.
1- More specific details on when to rotate. Like I understand in-between waves but do I do that every wave? When my ult is up? etc. Just to be safe so I don't become angry for no reason and after a while realize how stupid I was.
2- When to leave the ADC when supporting? I see a lot of supports leave their ADCs to farm alone and while I understand why I don't understand when and what do I do after that? I follow mid/jungle all the time?
3- When to go for gold fury/portal demon? I see SPL games where the teams go for gold fury when everyone on the other team is up and go at it the second it spawns but whenever I play the gold fury gets killed like twice during the whole game or something like that and people only go for it when the WHOLE enemy team is dead.
4- Tips on conserving mana. I always always always buy Transcendence on ability-based hunters and some assassins because I can't conserve my mana. Seriously early game I can't do anything because I'm always out of mana which annoys me and I know I need to work on it but I don't know where to start. I use my abilities to clear but I also use it to poke sometimes in-between waves but it drains my mana. I've tried only using my abilities to clear but I still ran out of mana. It's not only Hunters though, early game for pretty much anyone is deadly for me. Support is killer for me since I use a lot of abilities to either keep the enemies away, attack the enemies or clear.
6- And finally, like you mentionned, how to fight on the defense? When I'm behind I usually farm under tower and go for buffs sometimes when I remember that I can do that but in casuals and low level ranked they still dive you and kill you even if you're hiding under tower with full hp. The only times I've managed to actually fight under tower is when I was against high level players in a viewer game and they didn't try to dive me and I managed to get back up but I can't do the same in casuals/ranked unless I've been doing it wrong.
1. I myself prefer farming jungle buffs in-beetwen waves, if there's no jungle left then I'd rotate, but It depends on other factors too. If I see my allies pushed into towers that's a good ganking opportunity, even though jungle is not cleared, if I have enough health, mana, abilities and actives to ensure a clean kill or two. Also before ganking it's good to press tab and see enemy actives so you dont get surprised.
2. Leave adc when you think they can solo clear wave, usually level 5-6. From then on you can look to gank mid or if there's no gank opportunity just stay for the wave and help in clearing jungle. Ganking solo is not adviseable, especially if gold fury is up. Also, if there's no jungle left and both your jungler and mid are in mid lane you can look to gank duo lane. Don't worry if there's no gank opportunities. The most important thing is to not fall back on experience.
3.You should go for objectives when you're ahead. That way you can force the fight and get more ahead. Also if you get a kill or two you can go for objectives, unless they have gods that can easily steal like Chaac. The most important thing is to zone enemies properly then. Also if there's like 4 man gank on your solo you can get gold fury easily.
4. On conserving mana I have nothing smarter to say than buy 1-2 mana pots. Also if you're mid/jungler you'll usually clear lane/buffs with your teammate (jungler/mid) so you dont have to spam abilities all the time.
5. On playing from behind you gotta recognize which fights you can take. Opponents can sometimes get cocky from ahead and go for 2v4 or something which you can win even from behind most of the time. Also you gotta recognize if they can dive you, giving up your tower is still a better choice than to die and still lose tower, so just run if you can. Also good positioning is crucial. Take safe routes from one lane to other.

No problem. Hope it helps you! Also, common, but really big mistake imo that people make is forcing fights when they have a lot of gold in hand. Even if your team is ahead in gold you might lose a teamfight because you didn't spend that gold to buy items. So the crucial thing is to recognize damage spikes, both yours and of your enemy before forcing a fight. I myself don't really pay attention to it most of the time but I think that's really important.
in most games i have played i have never seen any opponent ward when my team usually does. and on the few occasions when i do see my opponents wards it seems like the moment they put it down they scoop it back up again.

My main source of information in learning Smite was people bitching at me in chat. While it's annoying, they do (most of the time) have a reason for complaining if you're new and don't know everything. Obviously, that doesn't mean what they're doing is okay but if you don't know many people who also play Smite and you don't spend that much time learning from internet sources then it's the best way to get better.
I just wish people would give me more detail when they complain. "Shit build" doesn't tell me the issue.

He doesn't necessarily mean copy pro builds until you know what to do, because pros can get away with riskier builds that usually wouldn't work because they play in a team of well communicating players

I think once you're comfortable with that god build whatever you feel like but obviously it needs to work dont build all lifesteal hunter or all crit warrior. I dont copy any pro builds because I know how to play all the gods enough. Plus sometimes you're counterbuilding so you cant really "copy" it's all situational.
Half mute would be nice, minus chat and vgs like "you rock", but I doubt it'll ever happen - it has been requested for so long an nothing has changed.
I wouldn't say copy pros necessarily, just generally find builds you can refer to either from pros or other reliable build sources. At the same time, copying pros is still better than building entirely unsynergistic trash. It just depends on the knowledge that is already there

The kill thing happens WAAAY to much in assault. Doesn't matter who I end up playing, I always end up having to destory the tower myself because my team just chases 1 guy with 1 health until the rest of his team comes back to defend.
In assault as a mage Chronos pendant is an almost mandatory first item so I don't usually see pen until 3rd or 4th item there. Not super relevant I know but I still feel like justifying my doing that "mistake" in basically every game
I don't bother playing ranked in any moba because people don't really listen.
I only use the ping feature and mute the chat, while myself use the chat strictly for league of legends champion ults are down and in that game there is a new enemy ward ping feature.
Haven't played SMite in a few months but the VGS feature is connected to the chat so if you mute someone then you cannot hear their VGS commands though they are toxic and may spam them I think HiRez games should allow a minimalism of vgs per match instead of muting the vgs out completely and if you tell that player has been vgs and chat muted then they might reconsider in toxic spaming vgs commands and save them for when their calls or warnings really matter.

on lower levels of ranked knowing how to play from behind gets me BM'd so much because I won't participate in teamfights that we cannot win regardless.
That not looking backwards thing is a double edged sword in my opinion. Sometimes the enemy predicts your path and you cant hear them throw an ability until its too late. If its an enemy that can hit you from a distance i say look back, but if he's right on your tail then yes its pointless to look back bc even if he misses the ability, he can still basic you.
these tips are helpful, but I found most of these tips centered at ranked conquest and joust, not so much at duel. I play mostly duel, these tips will be helpful when players similar to me who'll eventually do conquest and joust.
I like how somebody is complaining to your team after you won the game. I'll add that in any online game, usually once your team starts pointing fingers and arguing you've already lost, so I wouldn't feel bad about loses like that.

You can generally avoid 6 by using VGS and saying "attack this tower", "attack this phoenix" and so on. Unless the player is russian they will usually help you.

I'm trying to learn the VGS better.
The ones I know best are the retreat/careful lines, the I'm attacking/retreating/defending/ganking/going for buff/returning to base lines, my ult cd lines (I can't remember enemy ult incoming or enemy ult down though :/) and the enemy missing lines.
The best way for me to remember that the F key coincides with "missing" is to think it like "Fuuuuuuuck" lol

Iv been stuck playing casual conqust cus of all the toxic nature in ranked. I pretty much only buy under the tab popular items and sometimes i mix it up depending scenario.
I predicted an enemy nemesis on my tail after I took on four enemies - killed two - and had to run. I didn't know nemesis was behind me, but i had a feeling, so i used bludgeon and heard the hammer hit someone so i turned around quick and slammed down my hammer. Low and behold that hungry nemesis got squished. It felt good.

Meh I'll stick to casuals. Only times I played ranked I ended up with far worse players than casuals by a long shot. No one in casual rushes the enemy at lvl 4 while the enemy is lvl 5 with no minion or god support.

you do realize if you are playing with these low levels, it means you are complete shit right? it means that those low levels got their elo/mmr boosted very quickly for being good at the game. if you are level 30 playing with level 15's, it means you are garbage. think of another one.
for example, i played a level 1 account and went 47-1, 55-0, 25-3 and i was level 4 playing with level 30's by the 3rd or 4th game. it means their elo matches yours, and they are either really good or youre really bad.

I can't say I expect you to, but could you please do a video on team morale? Its more important then people realize. Its not just that you'll have a more clear mind in a game where you need to make good and quick decisions. Whether your team plays aggressive or defensive, likes to group up or split push, everyone needs to be cohesive and it seems even though I'm in diamond this split a good chunk of people don't seem to realize it . . . and good ways to keep up morale too. Those "no problem"s and the GENUINE "you rock" helps with that cohesiveness too. I've won games off of a FG steal, just because everyone on my team has their faith in each other restored while on the enemy team every ones yelling about how it happened and has lowered morale and trust, allowing for easier picks. Another thing I've noticed is that if there is for example an almost pre made team, picking on the enemy member of the team that isn't pre made helps split up enemies. Their teamwork falls apart when they see the random go 1-7 ya know? there's a lot to discuss here.

B'm is annoying of course, vgs I completely got the hang of when I first started playing Smite, I do have problems when it comes to juking but I do know about looking at the map unless I need to dodge an ability and I need to look which is almost never. Playing when behind or when to rotate, I do get confused, especially as mid like," so do I rotate with the kid or should I have tower pressure since I always seem to have a lot of that". Item builds I do pretty well but I'm still confused about the titans bane/ executioner thingy(which viable pen items as an adc) and stuff. Going for kills instead of objectives is not too big of an issue on my part but I've had teammates do that a lot before. Also, in terms of roles, I'm at least ok with all of them, but I just dislike playing the duo lane roles cuz it feels so....bland. Map awareness isn't a problem really. I usually get caught off guard in the middle of a small skirmish in the mid lane, which brings me to warding... the wards just stay in my consumables all game xD. So.... I guess I'm not a bronzie. I mean, I've climbed up to platinum(sort of without the help of weird ranking placements)

I don't understand why some people don't counter build or why they build poorly. My friends taught me counter building my very 1st day of smite. And with building poorly, people just need to take a second and build and theory craft, crunch the numbers, I've spent hours in jungle practice for each patch just seeing if my build is somewhat viable, people just choose the easy way out, the path of least resistance, instead of trying to improve and get better.😀

A lot of players also seem to only care about high damage (usually the types of players that think that they're the best because they have top player damage) so they'll neglect any beneficial items for it. Many players also think that they're good enough to not need it.
There are times when you are in a team full of random players. They use commands like ver, vvgh, vew, vvw, vrr otherwise no one uses it, still do good and win the game.

I always buy chalice, way cheaper than buying a bunch of wards all game, even before chalice I averaged 12-20 wards per game. In fact before chalice, I bought the active so I saved money then too. With tele relic (or trinket, or active as they used to be called...) It's pretty effective to get around the map and have vision. Tele is very underrated imo.

Another thing on warding, I see a lot of people only buying wards at six slot when there is nothing else to buy, you should be buying wards all game long. I also see people making simple mistakes then blaming a lack of wards on the map and usually the tank. For example, you're in a game of 3v3, you agress when one of the enemies is missing and then get jumped on by said enemy. At this I have seen a lot of people moan about how the tank sucks for not warding, or saving their lives, etc. Yes people should ward, but caution when you have no vision is still common sense. And warding is a team effort, everyone should do it.
I'm diamond 5 and I got match up with bronze players. They threw me off when they ran in a straight line lol. It took about 10 mins until I got use to it
