simply rinsing off the degreaser with hot water and letting it dry would have 90% of the time worked fine. remember these sensors have oil, moisture, and dirt passing over them all the time, they are pretty tough but put any kind of coating/film on them and the heating sensor will burn up

because the car is supercharged, hence "kompressor", and just for the record this guy has no idea what he is doing, do not follow any advice given by him, this car is also not carbureted, its fuel injected... ugh

Hi bud if you still have this car as it's a pre facelift, the cam cover breather that causes the oil on the MAF. th-cam.com/video/CYcwwTrAEhQ/w-d-xo.html also here is the way I clean M111 MAF sensors th-cam.com/video/xhkHPfPjmUo/w-d-xo.html, you may no longer have the car but for future reference it may help. Pre facelift cars MAF failure is so common thanks to the oil front he cam vent when the swirl pot gets gummed up, all the oil that should drain away gets vented into the airbox instead and drawn through the intake. This ultimately covers your MAF in a film of oil. It's always good to clean the swirl pot out with brake cleaner now and again 🙂
Thank you for sharing those videos. Basically, where I went wrong is with the Engine Cleaner LOL. It gunked up the airline and I was able to clean it and the carburetor but still it was a hassle.

Huh? I'm not sure. Maybe the American conversion need to do it that way for the emissions requirements?

This is really helpful I just purchased one that’s been sitting in a garage for 20 years and I want to do a good cleaning on everything
