Knulli has Bluetooth support and wired controllers(all hail batocera support!) so it still has no competion on hybrid. I liked MUOS for handheld exclusive.
You know what's funny? Onion OS came out in 2021 and still not a single OS besides maybe Garlic OS for the original rg35xx was able to get even close to it. Yes, MuOS is awesome and does a lot of good stuff, but I don't think anyone would say it is on the same level as Onion OS.
Agreed, but out of the CFW roster that we have available on Anbernic Linux handhelds, it's honestly one of my faves. The only major flaw with OnionOS is that it can't come to Anbernic devices. :(
@@VladNerd that's true. A lot of people say Knulli is the besy for XX devices, but I prefer fast OS with the ability to fast save and shutdown to any fancy looking OS, so MuOS is the greatest OS. Can't get muOS Banana to work on my 40xx h. Console doesn't power on with muOS on the card. Tried on multiple cards but no luck - stock, modded stock and Knulli all work on the same cards?
Slight correction: Pico-8 is now supported in Android via app. I have it on my Retroid Pocket 2S handheld and plan on integrating it into my 4 Pro handheld with the ES-DE frontend.
how about HDMI support? is it stable yet? Previously with my 35xxH i manage to get it connected to my TV via micro HDMI but it managed to get soft-bricked.. The volume muted indefinitely and I need to reflash my card to fix it

i voted for Mullet. it was winning by a long stretch until the whole pixie-gate scenario started and then Pixie won by 5%. i was kind of a little bummed to be honest. I agree with you Vlad - it was a time and a thing and is very retro.
A suggestion, add some info on how to migrate save files from different OS to other OS (like MUOS) from a single sd card and two sd card configs since that's usually one of the speedbumps in moving to different OS. I've been on Batocera since I got my RG35XX H and have played a ton of games with save states and save files, I backed up both cards (a big hassle) in case things bork up and migrated to Knulli, which I was lucky that my saves and save states migrated without fuss. Moving to MuOS might be more of a hassle without a proper guide. Also maybe a comparison of OS might be good too. So far Knulli works for me, does everything I need and pleases my eyes, but I am curious about trying MuOS.
Vlad the autoresume thing works great but it doesn't give time enough to the system to load the retroachievements thing so then you start the game without them
I don't think it works together with retroachievements, unfortunately. Afaik, retroachievements needs to you constantly be online so your progress can be pinged, and instant the fake hibernation thing messes with that. So it's either one or the other. :(
I don't think that's a feature, but I'd 100% mention it to the muOS devs on their Discord. Sounds like a cool thing. :) In the meantime, you can just favorite stuff and find them in the Favorites page on the home screen.
@@VladNerd please ask them to implement native Skraper, thats the only thing Knulli does and muOS don't! Thanks a lot, and congratulations for the AWESOME content!!! 😊👍🏾
I was kind of unimpressed with it when I installed it today. I'll probably give it another try, but the lack of a search function kind of really hurt it for me. It seems like such a simple thing and should have been one of the first things I think. I'll sit and wait on it for a few updates until something like that comes about. I've got a few thousand roms and going through them one by one without a search when I'm looking for a specific game is a pain. Also I wasn't a big fan of how I couldn't seem to change the hotkey config? I'd like the menu button to open the menu, I don't really like pressing menu and then X or whatever. But maybe I missed that.
I've got an RG35XX H and use muos on it. I upgraded to banana just for proper analogue stick inputs but it actually disabled all analogue input. In all menus and all games there is no response from the sticks at all. I flashed it three seperate times and the same problem happened each time. The previous version of muos stick works but with cardinal direction snapping of course. Has anyone else had this problem?

As a first handheld though, I think you'd be happier with the RG40XX H (if only for the bigger screen). I left an affiliate link in the video description in case you want it.
Over The Air updates. Usually it refers to the ability to download and install an OS update entirely on the device itself over WiFi. MuOS has never been able to do that, but in their last major update before this one, you could download a zip file, copy it over to your SD card, and run it to do the update, instead of having to re-flash the entire OS and start again from vanilla, losing any custom settings you may have changed. Unfortunately the Banana update apparently changed the file system in such a way that that wasn't possible this time.
