You didn't mention the Light house at the end of the island at Daytona, there's also a nice park to visit, but of course it all cost extra. I've never been inside the light house, but I like to ride by it. Also a nice restaurant close to the light house food looks good, but its expensive & I've never ate there, but thinking about giving it a try one day.
Yeah, the Daytona travel board sent us an email saying the same thing about the lighthouse. We’ll definitely have to check it out one day and update the video.
This video is a little shorter than our typical videos. Hopefully, it’s super informative, but also, hope it doesn’t upset the TH-cam algorithm. Trying to get those subscribers! One thousand is our goal!
And the last day I informed about the video issue from my second account 😇and today I am here again ☺clicked so fast just as the notification came from aiken adventure🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
It’s nice to see the 2 of you pop up on my TH-cam feed. You all are really a nice couple and I hope that you continue doing these adventures as I enjoy trying to visit as many places as I can with my children as well. Last year when we were in Daytona we stayed in a newly built Fairfield Inn by Marriott near the Outdoor World and it was very nice. Spent New Years 2021 there bringing in the New Year while coming back to Greenville, SC. We visited Anna Maria Island, the Everglades (that was like the dismal swamp), and the Keys. I would have liked to have visited the Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa Beach and to have seen Space X send up a rocket but by that time the kids were pooped and we just got back on the road.
I took my kids on a road trip and we drove the entire coast of Florida starting from Jacksonville. It was too much for the kids by the time we reached Clearwater
The water fall part.... I mean the fountains,😍😍😍😍lovely.... I believe there are alot to discover in Florida😍😍and this family is helping me out to discover more,😇😇😇god pls bless this family
Glad you loved the fountains! The people in Daytona were really excited about them, too. Initially, we went to the shopping mall only to learn that it had closed early due to a COVID schedule, and a lady outside of the shopping mall went on and on and on about the fountains.
That’s what Alaina always says. One day, we’ll have to all go to Myrtle and check it out! Alaina has been when she was a teen but the rest of our family has not.
I prefer a city like Hallandale beach Florida it’s just beautiful and the restaurants and nightlife is amazing, and Hollywood Beach walk is beautiful and full with bars and restaurants lounges.
daytona use to be great, but now alot of things have closed & like the theater & several stores along the boardwalk the places you can drive on the beach are much shorter & far more expensive $20 a day the last time I drove on the beach & you can only go twice per day unless you pay over $100 for an annual pass. Really use to love going during spring break to see all the beautiful ladies, now hardly anyone goes during spring break other than some bikers a couple weeks of the year. Even in town some of my favorite places have closed like Duff's buffet, it was great tasting food & a good reasonable price. I've seen the plane advertising all you can eat crab legs in Ormond Beach so I called to check the price & it was over $100! I did pay $50 at a couple crab leg buffets up north & I thought that was too high priced, now way I'm paying double for the same thing.
Yeah it’s interesting how the primary spring break locations have kind of moved around. Fort Lauderdale was somehow mixed in as one at some point, and now Panama City Beach is the number 1 spring break destination.
I've lived in Florida for over 40 years, 1st off the Racing at Daytona is Great, very expensive, but still fun. Now going to the Beach is a whole different story. The Beach itself is usually dirty and crowded...up on the Boardwalk always has places blocked off by barriers because something is broken down...and sometimes they stay that way for months (and it's only a 2 day fix). Don't eat there unless your starving...FDA has closed down so many of the Pop-Up Restaurants, and they keep Popping up under a different Name...that they don't even bother anymore. Save your money...buy a baby pool, fill it up, splash around and then fire up your own grill.
Didn’t know that about the FDA and those restaurants. One of the other things we don’t really care for about the beach is that the sand seems to always be soggy.
Frankly, Daytona is alright. There are some fun things to do there. It’s one of the more affordable beach towns in Florida. This video was created to target the search for things to do in the area since there are a large segment of people who travel there annually by default for the various events for which the town is known. We actually have planned to do a video which would be targeted toward people trying to decide if they want to vacation there or not. We haven’t had the opportunity to record it yet, but we definitely want to release it before the next tourism season.
If I ever, ever say that shopping at the Tanger Outlets is the number 3 thing to do in Daytona Beach, then please end my suffering and kill me on the spot.
So true. Daytona 500 was just a few weeks ago, followed by bike week, and now spring break season. I was never really all that conscious before about how busy this time of year is for Daytona.
Wow after watching this video I’m kinda depressed about going to Florida. I was hoping to see something different other then the same shopping centers that are located everywhere.

I guess it would be a different perspective for someone who lives there versus a tourist point of view. Do you have any favorite restaurants in Daytona?

You’re welcome! Enjoy your trip! When you headed there?
another great video! went there last week. the sand quality was amazing! one of a kind in the world!

Daytona Beach is somewhat similiar to Myrtle Beach SC further up north.

Thanks , you’re nice couple.

Updated Daytona video coming out next Friday, by the way!
How often do they have the foundation show is it every night or certain events?
Best I can tell, the fountains dance to music every evening. We were there during an off-season and they were operating like normal.
@@AikenAdventures thank you for the response, do you know roughly what time?
Not sure what the schedule is, but it takes place a regular intervals throughout the evening.

Thanks for the kind words! She makes it beautiful, and I make us a couple!
on the boardwalk are the amusement rides open???
I don’t know about right now. Our footage from that is from back in September, and it looked like they were open at that time.
@@AikenAdventures okay thank you!
How about living in Daytona or surrounding area, would you?
Good question. I would definitely say that some parts of Daytona are SUPER sketchy so make sure to do your research in advance.
Ormond Beach is nice.
Godawful place to visit
Where are some of your favorite places to visit instead?
Can anyone drive on the beach? That’s pretty cool
Yes! It’s open to the public.
Nice video but I did not get a great vibe you liked the area that much. I live there so I would agree. Not bad but not great either

Not sure which that place is more defined by: Racing or the beach...hmmmm....
So true. Daytona 500 was just a few weeks ago, followed by bike week, and now spring break season. I was never really all that conscious before about how busy this time of year is for Daytona.
@@AikenAdventures racing is not that central to Daytona social life. Mostly in nascar's prime, it was older people that followed it.
Not surprised, but we figured that a lot of out-of-Towners are already very familiar with the track

Depends on which town/city you go to as to whether or not there are truly unique attractions.
