I've been enjoying the Bannoch Pro very much. I had similar issues with the size of the original Bannoch. I kinda wish the sternum strap was implemented a little differently, but small complaint. I have learned to work with it.
I would really love to use this as my camera backpack. But I really wish that they would have included some more options for carrying a tripod. I ride a motorcycle so it’s absolutely essential that the tripod doesn’t suddenly come off and it looks as though this bag doesn’t really offer any ways to add additional straps for securing stuff to the bag.
Comparing the two side by side, this is definitely a little more rigid thanks to the padding. If you wanted to firm up even more, no reason you can't put some thin foam in the laptop sleeve as a pseudo frame sheet.
Hi Chuck! Hope that you’re loving it as much as we did. The Mission Workshop Insert is a perfect fit if you need all the gear, if not, I find the Peak Design cubes great for smaller set ups!
@@MrISoFr3shI 1:48 totally agree, but it seems to be the trend to make people pay extra if they want one. Goruck Heritage bags don’t even have the option to attach any sort of sternum straps and they cost even more 😳
I think that's personal preference. I actually don't LOVE a sternum strap for EDC, but I know many do. I see your point for sure, but just wasn't an issue for me as not something I usually look for. Apologies for not noting it, I'll keep an eye out next time 🙂
It depends how you look at it I suppose? Hand made in the UK by a small team while paying a living wage is very different to mass produced in a factory. There's no doubt it's a the higher end, but it's certainly a #BIFL product! 🙂
@@CarryologyTV no arrgyabout the quality. But more expensive than goruck, remote equipment etc. but I wish them the best they really making great stuff, but for my self I can’t justify. But I’m sure they will be sold out sooner or later 🍻
@@TalZKazaz Here in the UK it retails for slightly less than the Heritage Goruck and is equally well made with a similar warranty. I can’t argue it’s not super expensive but if you want to invest in a hand made wax canvas backpack it seems to be the going rate 🤷🏻♂️
Great Review. Love the energy and excitement. Hope to see more reviews from you. Great bag also.
Thank you! It's a killer bag for sure, a real beauty.

Thanks for sharing!
Lovely first look! That port is good on you.
Nice video, nice backpack, thanks!
I only wish you'd show more of the backpack, from various angles and all the details and from various angles.
Very clear review. My one question: you mention a camera cube: Is this your own, or are you using one of Trakke’s packing cubes for this?
Thank you! I've been using my own. My go-to's are Peak Design and the Mission Workshop Capsule.
@@CarryologyTV Thanks!

This bag really reminds me of the Tomtoc Vintpack with very minimal visual and practicality differences
How stiff is the back panel? The original Bannoch was a little too floppy for me so hoping this is more rigid.

So stoked for this!
Just got my Bannoch Pro yesterday no love or. You mention a camera cube. Which one do you use? Would love to get one that fits nicely.

What camera organizer/cube is that you are using (blaze orange)?
Hey
@benjamintupper3810, that's the Mission Workshop Capsule - fave.co/3W2JnXQ
just wish it had a luggage passthrough (and maybe a side handle) - especially if it's being pitched as a traveler's backpack
Side handle would completely ruin the aesthetic. No idea why it would even be on its side anyway… it’s a flaptop.
Nice 👍
What's the camera insert you are using in the backpack?
That's the Mission Workshop Capsule - comes in a variety of different colours and materials! One of my favourites.
Thank you!
25L but no sternum strap
Crazy!
They sell one for £20
@@pauljeynes2589 That is non adjustable and very low on the harness. Also for the price it should already include it not be seperate.

No luggage pass thru
$450 crazy expensive!

What an overpriced piece!
Too expensive. Nice bag but sheesh
Yup, it's the kind of bag most of us need to save for. We feel you!
