This looks amazing! I had the original bannock and the pain of getting small items in and out had me sell it. This is an amazing bag, just wish it was more in the 20-21L size. It’s a bit too big for me to wear a larger bag like this everyday
From what I can tell, while a lot of flap top/roll tops already ackowleged the importance of a side access to the main compartment, Bellroy seemed to be the ones really spear-heading this kind of full access to the main compartment through a full-length zipper on each side of the wall-- and I absolutely love that bag makers seem to be embracing it. A singular access from the top had turned me away from so many otherwise awesome products. Price aside, this Bannoch Pro is looking dangerously tempting.
@@JohnLozano They make beautiful bags just don't make sense to me. Even the Storr 35L which needs a hip belt and a sternum strap for that size yet its not on there for the price.
@@MrISoFr3sh yeah for sure, really interested in this bag but now kinda of torn between this and the Muir III. Wonder if I should just spring for the bigger bag that has everything. 😕
@@JohnLozano I'm into the Muir III design and it has a sternum strap at least but I hear of complaints with the harness and people end up selling them.
Nice upgrades to the Bannoch, and it would be interesting to know if the Muir III influenced the Bannoch, or vice versa! I have fallen head over heels for my Muir III, so I imagine anyone getting the Bannoch Pro will feel the same!
Hi there! We don’t typically use the duck classification system in the UK, but our supplier says the canvas we use is closest to a Number 12 duck in terms of weight and durability. Thanks for your question!
That front pocket is a game changer. As I'm considering the original Bannoch, I think that feature is what will lean me over to the pro. The . But I wish the pro was slightly shorter for us centimeter deficient folk. 😞 This will likely be my first Trakke bag.
I just got mine, it's tall, but not in a way where I dislike it I'm 5'7. the top of the straps are about 17inches up the back panel. it will sit lower on your back than your typical bag nerd bags (you know who and what you are and what you're carrying /manybaggers). You can wear it high but I like to get in and out of my bags easier. All in all, I love the bag. Will get the smaller one when a "pro" version comes out, if it comes out. My only regret is getting black instead of anything other than black, but that's on me.
Fantastic video and amazing bags - just a thought, I often hope you will change your zip pulls, they chip easily and get twisted which makes them hard to pull!
You guys are making some incredible products. I really appreciate the heritage style and your material choices. Have you considered looking for an alternative to aquaguard? I find it doesn’t age well in the long run.
A trakke bag with Riri zips would be incredible. Even if just a small batch limited run. I think there’s a market of folks that would be willing to pay the higher price. But I’m with you on aquaguard zips. They’re just not as elegant for such an amazing product.
I understand Trakkes choice for aquaguard. They’re less expensive, effective, and durable. Metal zips would be much more expensive to fix and replace under their warranty. Metal zips are also exposed leaving them to be more vulnerable to damage and entry for wear and tear. But it’s undeniable the level of sophistication and elegance they would bring to an already amazing product. I think the collabs they do would be a perfect opportunity to try something like this. As long as it’s a carryology collab it’s going to be aquaguard every time. Perhaps the right collab with another brand can be an opportunity to see a Trakke bag with Riri zips. And while it may never make it to their mainline bags there’s no doubt this collab would be worth the exposure it would bring to Trakke.
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Since the original Bannoch is 17L we decided to go with a slightly bigger option - but appreciate that's quite large for some. We're always adjusting our designs based on customer feedback so we'll definitely consider this for future designs.
@@trakke_bags tbh, I think for a lot of people 25L might hit that sweet spot for short travel stints, so it's good, but it would be nice to see the benefits of the Pro in the smaller bags too. And maybe consider adding a luggage passthrough as 25L would pair well with roller luggage for longer trips.
Looks great! Question: since its bigger than the original bannoch, when flying, would this still pass as a personal item on a plane if not packed fully?
@@trakke_bagswould you mind sharing if they'll become available at reasonable hours? I live in the US and Scottish mornings would mean very late for me. Thank you 🙏
Wow. I both love and hate y'all at Trakke for releasing this pack. Soon after getting my Storr 25L, this comes out at the exact same size. The Bannoch Pro and Storr each have their own advantages, but the aesthetics of the Bannoch line are just amazing. (I've had the regular Bannoch for a while.) So now what I am supposed to do? Get this and return or sell my Storr? Or keep the Storr and forget this pack even exists? Get them both? Can't do the last one--too much cash! Ugh. Curious to see what the price point will be.
Hello! Thanks so much for the feedback, we really appreciate it! You can always join the group 'Carryology Classified' where people regularly buy/sell/exchange packs if you find you're adding too many to the collection!
@@trakke_bags My main feedback is to PLEASE stop making so many bags I want to buy!!!😂 A little more realistically, an adjustable sternum strap a la the Muir III would be amazing.
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
Would love to buy this but in a bannoch size! This is probably bigger than I'd want / need
Totally agree! Please bring these features to a more edc friendly 20L (or even 22L) Bannoch.
Same!

@@trakke_bags Thanks for the recommendation, I am more on the current Bannoch size, as I have a Goruck GR1 21l that fits me well.

Why doesn't it have a sternum strap? 25L imo need it
Yeah that’s a real bummer at this size and price point, no sternum strap like the Muir III.

Great looking bag, thanks. I have the Bannoch and love it. PS Black bag doesn’t pop in front of black sweater in the video.
Such a cool bag Alec, looking forward to it!
Hello Alec, can you tell us from which kind of canvas your bags are made in reference to the duck classifications, please?

Looks like a great travel pack! Only thing missing for travel would be a luggage pass through.
Yeah, at 25l is skirting the travel bag segment and that sparse back panel could have easily accommodated a luggage passthrough

Damn, this bag really does have it all. I don’t need another bag but I really want this!
If Thor says I need this bag, I will buy it.
Great looking bag with some good features but missing a key component of a travel bag. A luggage passthrough.
Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate the suggestion about the luggage passthrough-it's definitely something we'll consider for future designs.
How come there isn't a luggage pass through for this or the Storr?
Or did I miss that somehow?
They omitted that for some reason
