It says $600 from Suzuki Tool in the USA. Wow! Must be some great steel. Also I am not sure if the Japanese dont put a secondary bevel on their blades allowing them to hand sharpen without a jig.

When I finished tuning my first Japanese plane (after watching hours of tutorials) I thought my shavings are really good. But man, yours are literally translucent!!! Incredible, great work. Btw. I wasn't able to sharpen it by hand, I wasn't able to let it sit constantly on that 3mm secondary bevel and just messed it up so I used the sharpening guide tool... Incredible you are making it by hand! Keep up great work :)

I had a hard time too at first. It took me three years to get the hang of it and get the hang of it. But if you keep doing it every day, you will improve little by little. I'm still here, but let's do our best together!

It would be nice if he had told you the type of wood he is using and the cut of the wood. This also makes a huge difference the type of Chip you can produce! Nor did he tell you what the type of Blade the steel is made of! Japanese use different for different types of woods. more here than meets the eye to what's they don't tell you about. they just like to show off the thin chips! You could do it too with the right tools and wood!

Genial. Disculpa, de casualidad a la carpintería japonesa de competición se le llama de alguna forma particular o no. Si es así, cómo llaman a eso en japón. Otra duda, ¿qué significa la palabra "kezuroukai"?

@@AKHIRA_1985 one last thing and I'll quit bothering you,. But when the ban is relaxed in the near future would it be a possibility if I can get out there to work with you for a very short time. I am not asking that you pay or host me. But the gift of your time alone would be an honor. Contemplate on that as long as you want and just let me know if that's possible. Any consideration is appreciated. Thank you again.
