I’ve used the Saki White food in lower temperatures that has worked
Saki Red was really good but restricted when I could use it……

    Hi Ricky,
We unfortunately don’t have access to Saki Hikari Balance here in the US, and I’m also not a fan of wheatgerm either so I’m currently using Saki Hikari Multi-season in the colder months 😅so I was just wondering are some reasons you don’t like about Multi-season?

If you can’t get balance then it’s the next best option. I just think it’s a bit pointless and feel like it was created to fit consumer demand as most breeders won’t feed when it’s too cold. The other diets were built to fulfil the needs of professional breeders and you can see it in the results.

Newbie here…my pond is outside, no heater, In southern USA. We will have nights well below freezing so we will stop feeding then. But now as all is cooling should I not use wheatgerm or mix it i to Hakari growth?
    Love your vids!!

How warm is it now? Growth needs to have a water temperature of above 20c really. Below that use balance.

Unfortunately in the States we don't have access to the balance. If we want to use Saki Hikari in cooler water we're forced to use Multi season. I may be wrong but I feel that 40% protein is too high with temps much below 20c anyway.

I don’t pay attention to protein content I’m more concerned by fat and the source of the protein.

Newbie here, nice video, we have all saki available here, im not into show but i want my fish to grow big in size decent color, whats the best? Balance or growth? Temp here is 28c -35 avarage no winter here.

At that temperature I would recommend growth with colour mixed in. A mix of 1/3 colour to 2/3 growth should get them looking good!

Hi guys, I don’t have a big pond, so I am looking to keep my fish growth minimal, but keeping them in really good condition with good colour. Any tips for achieving slower growth and maintaining health? Fish are a mix of medium quality Japanese and Israeli koi and have many different colour varieties. Currently a mix of sizes of about 8cms to 25cms and about 8 fish total. Thanks.

Just really look after the water condition and feed a high quality food such as Saki Balance and add some colour food to it during the warmer months.

The good old fashioned myth of switching to wheatgerm, makes no sense at all to me.
