The shield definitely reuses the mold from the HGUC Bawoo, which is a very old HGUC from way back from 2000. It's a very good looking kit, but definitely hasn't aged well.
The top piece on the INCOM where those blade attached is called the Tri-Blade which is derived from the Dreissen. Basically, it detaches and folds out to form 3 blades like a propeller and chases the enemy
Scary thing is it's technically a Zeon Suit. Pale Rider was EF mobile suit but upgraded with every Neo Zeon tech and weapon laying around including movable frame with the part still unchanged is the head (due to Hades being housed and not good idea to accidentally break lost technology) and aside from giving the head unit an overhaul upgrade including a heat vent behind it the Todesritter is really a monster of a Mobile suit despite the original unit was originally a OYW era.
This and the Pale Rider are among my favorite designs in the UC timeline. I would love to own both of these kits if Bandai released MG versions, P-Bandai or otherwise
The sub arms actually has more articulation than you thought. The "wrist" can be extended ever so slightly, you can feel a click. It allows wrist rotation.
I never knew it's blade incoms also had beam guns. So they are dual use incoms for close or range all range attacks. Wonderful! A mobile suit that actually incorporates almost everything I like to have on a suit all in one. This definitely makes Todesritter possibly my new number 1 fav design.

I believe the Shield is recycled from the HG Bawoo from 2000 and the Hyper Knuckle Buster may be newer though considering the mobile suit that should have that particular weapon hasn't had a kit since 1986. Always loved the Missing Link designs and this is one that I absolutely want to get the MG treatment...along with the GM Striker from Federation Hooligans.

I love this design and I would totally still get this, even if its silver tier, I hope this comes out even as a DLC for the new gundam game coming out. The backpack is really nice and the color scheme fits it perfectly. Its nice to see something that isn't red, white, blue and yellow. XD

@@MusicFan752 that might be the one. I thought it was a new Gundam breaker game but it might not be. I was going to get new Gundam breaker but everyone I see says how bad it is. I think it has potential, but I'm hesitant on it because it looks incomplete.
@@Muffin0613 new gundam breaker is complete, but the mechanics are awful. The three gundam breakers before it were handled pretty great, but new gundam breaker isn't and its movements camera skills alot of it is poorly handled, youd definitely be better off with gundam breaker 3 instead.
Anyone looking to buy this kit, PLEASE be careful with the thigh swivel! Mine snapped clean off from using it perfectly normally, and the hip joint isn’t anything standard so it can’t be easily replaced. Watch out!

Oof. Bandai did us dirty on that shield lol. As much as I love this design, as well as all the pale riders, I skipped this kit because of the shield and stickers (and also on the Cavalry because of the stickers). I’m still just a lowly snap-build-and-panel-line pleb and this kit appeared to need a little work to get it looking as good as it should. I did pick up one of the HG DII Titan’s Spec tho.
Good job on this kit! Guess you may need to talk about different variations of Pale Rider in the future (I believe at least 2 are coming up for heavy weapon and Titans version). I can see more variations from Pale rider than TR-1 from p-bandai already (sorry, if I am wrong, that's because both of them have more than 5 variations kits already. I just lost counts).
This MS is also in Battle Operation 2 but good luck getting it from the lottery! I've been playing the game for almost 3 years and the amount of duplicates i get is ridiculous.
I got it when it was the banner suit on my first 10 pull (from a bronze box?!?) and then got a second one on the SAME pull. RNG is sometimes highly annoying.
I really kind of regret not getting this, but it was the only thing I wanted from the preorder/release date window and didn’t want to order just one thing. Hopefully next time it’s up there will be some other stuff I want...and hopefully my backlog won’t be as ridiculous.
The todesritter is really funny to me because it's just so extra. It has incoms, subarms and the HADES when I'm fairly sure the base for the original pale rider was like the gm sniper 2. Same goes for the pale rider cavalrys shekinah. They still look really cool though.
I didn't have any issues with loose parts with mine, but the wires I got we're kinda pathetic and just kept rotating and dropping the incoms to the table
I went through the hassle of buying two of them and finished painting the first one in standard mode. If you take your time, it is actually not that bad. Shield is the worst part. Hades mode is proving to be a challenge just due to the hot metal color for the vents.

I have the Green Bawoo HG and I needed glue while assembling it, I underestimated how delicate some pieces could be.

I just got mine today, and there is a ball joint on the claws end so you can rotate it as well.
This is if the gusion rebake forgot to pullout of the pale rider.
Bet Anaheim Electronic was glad they made all the connections on both EFF and Zeon suits readily compatible when they built this suit.

The Hyper Knuckle Buster isn't recycled as far as i know but the shield comes from the HGUC Bawoo which is fairly old now.
