🎬 ON TODAY'S MANUAL: Meet one of the most remarkable pedals for Shoegaze, the JHS Cheese Ball! It's a fuzz pedal based on the Lovetone Big Cheese, recreating this rare 90's circuit with a lot of attention to detail and, as you'd expect from JHS, a lot of love. This legendary fuzz pedal was used by many different artists already, but what's drawn me to it is the fact that Kevin Shields, the legendary My Bloody Valentine guitar player and recording genius, has used it too! While playing with the pedal, I found a setting on it that almost perfectly recreates the sound you hear on "only tomorrw" base guitar riff! I'm not sure that Kevin used this particular fuzz on that track, because he has so many pedals, but I'm definitely guessing that this is the pedal in there - cause among the ones I have, this is the fuzz that got me the closest to that very mushy undefined and dreamy fuzz tone. Thanks! I tried showing how versatile it could be (: it surprised me considering Josh completely recreated a 90’s fuzz box that well.. isn’t that different from the original box so, it’s indeed very useful!
I bought the Cheeseball because The Boo Radleys used the Big Cheese in their early days. They had some nice fuzz curtains I want to try to recreate. I am glad there is a video of the Cheeseball from shoegaze point of view, great, thanks !

I thought the midiverb got that sound als he uses a vox ac4; as one of his amps along with a Hiwatt RR103. I've seen them live 3 times and was very close to the stage .....it was literally louder than a shuttle launch
