@AussieVR4 It's a fun plane that thunderbolt, a bit quick and rudder happy. You'll love it.
Excellent video!!!
I have fitted the eflite retracts and the Parkzone Extra 300 prop to my Spitfire which has really improved the speed.
hey nice videos man!! would really like to add this to my collection!! thanks for your time on making this video! i have over 10 planes 2 helis! just got started like 1 year ago. but thanks anyways!! keep them coming.
@buduki1 yea, the edf's make me nervous but brandon loves em
Yeah they are radiators, the early models had one, or a rounded one on one side, they eventually went two rectangle ones.
You were right with your first guess. They are indeed twin radiator ducts and actually produced a small amount of thrust as later exhaust stubs - 10mph increase of top speed!
Im sitting on my couch watching this and typing right now. And to my left is a model spit fire
i love your videos
The box coamings beneath the wings are 1 is radiator the other is radiator & oil cooler together. Found more commonly on the later mks of Merlin 61 - 66 engined Spitfires... ie Mk IX
Nice model, I have a similar sized foamy, plus a slightly smaller Spitfire with balsa fuselage & plastic/foam wings, plus a P/zone P51. I also have a small micro Spitfire, about 10" wingspan for indoor flight, but will fly outside if zero wind.
lol my first flight with this I did not check the ailerons... They were the wrong way round XD. It flipped and its nose broke off as it hit the ground! but all it needed was a bit of duck tape and some adjusting with the ailerons and it was up in the air and flying :D The best plane i have ever owned :)
I would like to see a full assembly in your videos it makes them more interesting
Yeah do that
@cloudwind23 lol thanks for watching!
Yes they are housings for radiators. This is a Mk IVb and in reality had a more powerful Merlin engine. The ‘b’ stands for b wing and refers to the armament arrangement. a wing had four Browning .303 in each wing, b wing had a 20mm Hispano canon with .303’s outboard of the canon.
Did it come with a retractable landing gear in the end?
'Ducts' under wing......radiators - one was for engine cooling, the other was for the supercharger intercooler used on later Merlin engines with the two stage supercharger (blower!).
@exile182 thank you for thew proper info!
Is the AR600 receiver glued in or did they use velcro so its easier to swap into another plane?
Got one of these and it is the pride of my fleet. Retracts are on order, NOT for beginners though
Would like to know what transmitter is recommended for this Spitfire you did not say in your review
lol, the thumbnail of this vid looks like you're unboxing a rocketlauncher. Nice unboxing though ;) keep up the good work!
Would a thunderbolt or spitfire mx IX be a good trainer if paired with stick time, sim time and previous Heli practice?
Those are cooling ducts for the radiators if memory serves.
Can u tell me on what shop did you bought this? I want buy this too.
Was the Spitfire that you unboxed in the video a 1200mm?
Yes my good friend those are radiators..
the two things on the bottom of the wing are air intakes
whats the diameter of the roundles? just totaled out my mosquito and there are no spare decal sheets for it anywhere. even before they discontinued it there where none. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I wish they'd re-pop this! Best mk-ix with power 25 updgrade.
Hobbyzone Champ
I had a chuckle at the video comment of 10 to 15 minutes typical flight time maybe more.
There's not many WARBIRDS that give more than 5 minutes.
Mine gets 7 to 9 minutes.
With retracts.
Thanks so much because I been to this shop called hobbyhome
In canada but all he had were rc Jets for pros :(
I went out and bought a thunderolt as a lead up to a spitfire after watching this lol.
I like your reviews. But, I think they are Ai ler ons. Not air lons. Keep up the good work!
do rc plane esc's have lipo cut offs?
I really want one but am not sure what to get to lead up to it, i started with a champ and am now flying a micro spitfire, what do i get to lead up to a big spitty?
That is to keep the Eng cool
can u video how to assemble it
@JohnReviewer112 towerhobbies?
Did it actually come with retracts????
Im new to this rc plane buiness and still dont have a plane. What would be a good first plane
is it really hard to fly the planes or easy?
They the cowls were just for the radiators
air intake for engine and coolant for engine
it is for radiators
yup, they're are radiators
I am going to buy an rtf plane but I don't know if it comes with radio
Does it come with a radio?
What about the back tail
you have a shop?
@Raptor50aus wot of course
Does it come with a controller?
Nice vid how much is it
Where can I get a good beginner plane that does nit cost a lot in canada please help!
I like Parkzone planes but the motors are too weak, I don´t need a rocket but I do expect a decent climb, and if everytime you need to buy a tuning motor it makes a foamie expensive. A Spitfire shouldn´t climb like an old man going up the stairs right?
what is the wingspan and length?
1 50 its oil colingsystems
do i need to supply the charger and the battery for the PNP version?
Sergej Nadaždin yes
howmuch was it?
Dude how much does it cost ?
where get the product
Just if U had said length & wingspan .
Whats the price tag?
how much was it?
BNF means no radio included.
begginer friendly??
im a history buff :D
rtf most likely has a Radio
nar not first plane , try a AXN floater jet ,from hobbyking get you in the air fly !
Air intakes
FF to 0:20 to skip the very long intro
how much did u pay for this in pounds?
+jake sanders / its a shame they dont make it anymore . all the nice kits they made have been discontinued ... take note parkzone .... bring em back.
They radiators yep im a Brit lol
no way will you get 10 to 15 min
WOT you will get about 6 min tops
On the real bird
The opposite of Fred
Send me aplane for free I'm poor and hadicap 😥
This channel is called RCFlightSchool? Seriously you sound completely confused this whole video.....why not just read off the parkzone site as you're opening it :/
It is a new plane after all.
Suggestion, open it up first and familiarize yourself with it and what you're going to cover before you wing it. Jm2c
Why?
So you don't look clueless, nevermind, just keep looking like an idiot on youtube
Nice compliment to somebody who is trying to help us all.
Have you done a video yet?
Real planes are to build, not to assemble them
Rc planes*
@cloudwind23 lol thanks for watching!
