@@TrueLibraGirl yeah I remember moving out of my old town on a mountain 7 years ago and moved out into the country and since there wasn’t many places to go or people to interact with I felt really alone and constantly would find myself going back to my old town every so often just to see my friends and hang out when I was bored but then one day I remembered a trip where I went out to Arizona for a week and one of the things we did out there was horseback riding and remembered when I did that I wanted to see about doing it again one day so eventually I found a farm near where I live and ever since I started going there I’ve met a lot of new people and made lots of great friends and now I’m doing a lot of fun things and experiencing new stuff it’s great and it honestly feels crazy that I once yearned to go back to my hometown now
The story for Doc is based off the career of the real Hudson Hornet cars in NASCAR even has the same racing decals. From 1951 to 1954 it was the car to beat, though the reason they stopped racing was different. The Hudson Car Company sadly went out of business.

A LOT of people give Cars flack but honestly it's just a nice comfort movie. Cars and Cars 3 are simple but nice. Not to mention they look amazing. Cars 3 especially. The animators had to play in mud in order to figure out how to animate Lightning being covered in it. They also studied how light reflects off real vehicles for accuracy and it shows in the stadium scenes. Pixar's attention to detail is what separates them from the rest.

By Cars 3, which I think is kinda underrated, you see that Lightning McQueen did his absolute best to have a full career both for himself and for Doc Hudson, too. Went on to become a legend himself, struggling with whether to retire or not and what his purpose in life would be if he did.
True, watching it on a TV isn’t enough. It’s a whole other experience to hear the engine’s start and just feeling the wind as the cars circle around the track
As I'm not from the US I don't know much about NASCAR, only that they drive on oval tracks. But like, isn't the experience somewhat similar to what you you'd have watching a Formula one race for example?
Bruh can you IMAGINE animating all those cars in the race track and audience though. That must've took a lot of modeling and work it's insane. Also not a lot of people notice it, but I noticed during the final race when someone else brought it up elsewhere, Strip smiled when Lightning was about to take the win. I really liked that because it's like he wanted Lightning to cross, seeing as he was willing to give advice (even if Lightning didn't hear a damn thing lmao). And even kept Chick from passing him. Dude's honestly a team player and really chill for a competitor. :D (I imagine he and Chick were meant to contrast Lightning in a way, with Strip being the better side of him whereas Chick Hicks is what would be Lightning had he stayed arrogant and festered in it instead of improving. But that's just a theory of mine) You guys really need to check out Ratatouille, it was and still is Pixars' magnum opus movie and holds up today.

I seriously recommend watching Speed Racer. It's such a good racing movie based off an anime by the same name. IMO it's severely underrated and has flown so far under the radar.

Nascars average about 200 miles an hour, but they could go faster, they are just prohibited from doing so, famous examples of cars breaking these regulations were the 1969/70 Dodge Daytona, and it's brother Plymouth Superbird (the King is a Superbird btw) which reached speeds of 240 in the late 60's and early 70's by breaking the rules with an ingenious restrictor plate design before they were banned from competing in Nascar. Cars reaching 240 in modern time is hard enough, you need specialized tires and decent aerodynamics, so for cars to have been reaching that in the 70's when production model motors had 300-400 horse power is pretty spectacular.
Loved the reaction, the connecting the cars to humans is always fun. But don’t overthink it, it’s like Toy Story only so far you can go in dissecting it. I saw someone else recommend a movie that will also drive you nuts figuring it’s world out: Shark Tale. Has Will Smith, Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Robert De Niro, and musicians from Ziggy Marley, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott.

I will say its a very american thing to go the scenic route which can add over an hour on the road to drive to the same destination just to see more nature.
In real NASCAR the reason for changing tires is they do actually wear them down over one race and lose traction. They are going around 150-200mph depending on the track (I don't know kilometer translation sorry) and at the speed the slight traction loss can be huge. NASCAR is honestly pretty boring to watch on TV, much better experience live where you can feel the rumble and hear nothing but the roar of their engines for hours lol.

from denmark but i was on a Harley roadtrip through USA back in 2013 when i was still a kid together with my dad and one of the towns we came through was Seiligman which the movie is based off, before we got there we had no idea it was actually a real town so it was super awesome to see and one of my most fond memories from that trip. also if some of you ever go to Seiligman i would recommend checking out a restaurant which is along the road not too far away named Roadkill, as the name suggest it is entirely themed around well "roadkill" like menu names being stuff along the lines of "run over skunk" etc. very cool place and great food if memory serves right :)

👉 "Cars 1" is an amazing movie. It was part of my entire childhood! I'm currently 18 years old (I'll be 19 on June 24th) and I still love this movie. Every time I watch it I cry 😢🥺🥺 I'll never forget this movie! 🥺😢😭😭

from denmark but i was on a Harley roadtrip through USA back in 2013 when i was still a kid together with my dad and one of the towns we came through was Seiligman which the movie is based off, before we got there we had no idea it was actually a real town so it was super awesome to see and one of my most fond memories from that trip. also if some of you ever go to Seiligman i would recommend checking out a restaurant which is along the road not too far away named Roadkill, as the name suggest it is entirely themed around well "roadkill" like menu names being stuff along the lines of "run over skunk" etc. very cool place and great food if memory serves right :)
