This movie without a doubt has one of the most iconic character introductions. From McQueen talking to himself in the dark to the cars zooming by to the various cuts showing different part of his body. I'm all for it.
Cars has the best opening of any Pixar film. Most interesting, not best cinematically. That goes to "UP". "UP" doesn't count in this instance, since it's opening was merely a way to manipulate the viewer into a certain frame of mind before the story proper starts.
