After watching your newest comparison between the VCORE 98 and EZONE 98, I wonder how the VCORE 98 2021 compares to the G360+ Extreme tour, cannot decide between those two rackets. Keep up your work
Hahaha me too. I was in between the Ezone 98 and Extreme Tour for months before I could commit. The Extreme Tour definitely has better control than the VCore. The Extreme Tour has a surprisingly closed 16x19 string pattern which really helps the predictability of the string bed. After using it for about 2 months, I think the Extreme Tour is a pretty special racquet. It takes a lot for 98's to standout, as the market is so saturated. The combination of stability, feel, plowthrough and maneuverability is like nothing else on the market
@@CourtsideSportsLTD I am currently playing with the Gravity Tour but am looking for more spin and bit easier power, besides not loosing to much control. So the Extreme Tour would check the boxes more than the Vcore 98 2021? Would you recommend bumping up the SW of the Extreme tour by using lead? Thanks for your answer Beckett
@@LeonBa I havent personally tried the Gravity Tour, so I can't be sure. I think the VCORE is more powerful than the Extreme, but it doesn't offer the precision I want. Hi, your old fan is back. Great review again. I got a 360 extreme pro after our last discussion. It is perhaps the most powerful racquet I have ever put my hands on. @@CourtsideSportsLTD Cool. I hit pretty wippy forehand, but need some plow on my backhand. I have tried too much racquets last year, so it is time to truely settle down on one racquet, probably speed mp, modified ezone 98 or new extreme tour with some lead.
The Ezone feels a bit more muted and the Extreme Tour is slightly more spin friendly. I had a very hard time choosing between the two, but at the end of the day, I went with the Extreme Tour as my racquet of choice.
That's a lot of lead tape to add. Obviously, the frame is too light to be labeled a "tour" frame. I like the new cosmetics a lot. The neon yellow is tamed and replaced mostly with silver/light gray. In the USA the frame is not marketed with the "G" prefix. I have the Graphene 360 MP and like it a lot. Lots of spin and good flex for comfort and control. Please review the new MP!
Hi there ! I’m playing with the aero pro drive 2013 ! I really love this raquet ! I m now looking for something new that would be close to APD with a little more confort ! I m kind of hesitating between the head speed pro 2018 and the head extreme tour ! How would you compare this two raquet to the APD 2013 in term of spin , control and confort ?
Hi Beckett! Once again, thanks for the review. I wanted to ask your opinion on how this racquet compares to the pure strike 16x19? I recently tried the babolat and it felt “hollow”, specially in the hoop. I didn’t feel connected to the ball at all. I know that adding lead may help with that, but before I do any customization, I wanted to know if the Extreme felt similar to the Babolat.
The Extreme has a more raw feel. There is most feedback through the string bed and it is less muted. It has a bit of a hollow feel, but it feel a lot more solid the Extreme MP
Beckett, How does the stock Extreme Tour play ? Many love the racquet, but are adding weight. Maybe i should play the stock version first before adding weight.
It plays nicely stock, but the swingweight it a bit low. I wouldnt say it gets pushed around or anything, but can lack a bit of put-away power and I find it a bit hard to really penetrate the court. I always play with racquets stock first just to get to know them a bit before I add weight.
I know you've already compared the Clash 100 to the previous Extreme, but I'd appreciate another comparison given the great improvement in the G360+ range. Specifically I'm wondering if this would be a a good Clash replacement with similar stability and power but with better feel and more control. I hate my Clash's clunky feel, although I get my best results with it. Go figure!
The Extreme Tour swings very fast and has one of the most predictable strings beds in any 16x19 racquet. It is my favorite racquet on the market for this reason. If you bought the Clash for comfort, the Extreme Tour is not a great choice. While not particularly uncomfortable, it does have a crisp, stiffer response. If comfort isn't an issue for you, I cannot recommend the Extreme Tour enough. I love this racquet and I commited to the switch last month.
Hi Beckett! Please give advice for costumization of Extreme tour. I aim to increase power and stability of racquet, but not to lose it's maneuverability. Thanks!
i recommend adding 1.5 grams of weight at 10 and 2 each. Weight near the tip will help with power and weight towards the 3 and 9 will help with stability. From there, experiment with counter balancing and adding a few grams of weight in the handle. Buying weight is relatively inexpensive so I recommend experimenting as much as possible.
Beckett, I’m going to give the Extreme Tour a try…. I always play with a hybrid. Do you think Wilson’s Champions Choice or Babolat’s VS gut/rpm blast will work? I usually have the gut in the mains..Thanks..🎾🎾🎾
Both would be great. I don't have a lot of experience with gut due to the price. I recommend going with whichever setup you are most familiar with to help give you a baseline on the racquet's playability.
Extreme tour is so similar to Radical MP 2021 (same beam width, 305g vs 300 unstrung weight, 318g vs 326g swing weight). How would you compare in terms of Power, Spin and Stability?
The Radical is significantly more powerful, and the Extreme wins in stability and spin. The specs are similar, but the racquet feel quite different to me. I think the Radical is a lot more accessible to a variety of players, and the Extreme is more demanding to play with on the court, The pattern feels a bit denser and the frame really reward big swings.
Yes. The Extreme Tour comes around very quickly, which is lovely for the one hander. It's string pattern is tight enough to give you control for your flat forehand as well.

It's funny how preference works. I really only care about having strong feel and spin scores. For my game, moderate stability and control and acceptable and power is a non-issue. This is because I known I can increase power and stability as needed by adding lead tape to key areas. Control can be moderate because I use spin to control my shots, and, as long as the string bed is a medium tight 16x19 or tighter, I know I'll have the stringbed predictability I need.

@@CourtsideSportsLTD thx a lot for your Quick answer. 😉
Where would you place the extrême tour between these two ?
I now play with a clash 98 and would like to have a little more control and feel.
Hi, Can you compare Extreme Tour with Yonex Ezone 98 2020 ?
I think the EZONE has a more solid stable feel, while the Extreme Tour offer amore spin and a more raw feel on impact. There are may two favourite sticks on the market right now and would be very happy to play with either of them.
Hi! great review and video 👍 thanks! No more Extreme Pro's 😓
I have heard the Pro may still be available in other markets, just not Canada to my knowledge.
@@CourtsideSportsLTD ok thank you it will be interesting to see, I may have to buy some older ones, great video, appreciate it!
I have got the following info from Head Customer Service : " The new Extreme is available from the 20th of august.
The Extreme G360+ will also be available in a PRO model with 315g and 315mm balance, loading our customers with lots of power. ".
can you show us the new radical g360+?
haven't seen it yet. Will post as soon as I can
How does this extreme tour compare to the 360+ speed mp?
The main difference is less stability and more maneuverability from the Extreme. I prefer the more responsible feel in the Extreme than the muted feel of the Speed.
@@CourtsideSportsLTD thanks so much this is a very intriguing frame definitely giving it a demo
Courtside Sports you mentioned responsive feel is better on the Extreme compared to the Speed. Is it more arm friendly compared to the Speed also? Many thanks
@@marvyeap ive been playing it for a couple weeks now and i have 4g rough strung at 55 lbs and have had no arm issues. Never did with the speed eother though. I love this racquet and have made the switch
@@marvyeap They are pretty close, but I usually find more muted racquets to be more comfortable. Either should be fine if you are coming from something stiff like a Babolat.
This racket is so good that not even berrettini use it.
Spyros none of the Pros on the tour use off the shelf mass produced rackets - they all have custom tuned bespoke specs. It’s been this way forever.
the Epster I believe FAA is using an off the shelf VS possibly with some lead under the head guard and handle. The QC is good enough off the shelf which is why they are more expensive and sold in pairs. I bought two separate VS that were identical.
Hello guys! Congratz for the channel!
So this Extreme Tour is similar with which racquet from Yonex?
Tks a lot!
Berretini might not use it, but Musetti is acutally using this one, but of course its customised for him. :)
Can't wait to get this.
Why??
Beckett, You love the Head Extreme Tour, but your scores, other than for spin, were low in my opinion. I’m confused…
PS great reviews by the way.
no more coupon codes? :(
More coupon codes coming soon!
Ridiculous to call this "Tour" when the specs are so feeble! Its more like the current Radical MP.
"Master Racquet Technician" Aahahahahahha
I am actually certified by the USRSA :)
