great information ... thanks
Does the little or the big flu cause more problems?
Hola muchas gracias por la información, quisiera hacerte una pregunta.. actualmente uso la Prince ozone que usaba David Ferrer, me gusta mucho la sensación de la raqueta, quiero cambiar por una de las dos yonex cuál me recomienda
size 5 grip. some don't have it anymore. I get size 4 and work it up. semi western forehand. very eastern one handed. it's the way to go.
Hi, Great video. Just a question...I have used 4 1/4 grip always but then got another 2nd hand 4 3/8 grip. Do you think that is ok or should I stick to 4 1/4 but 4 3/8 is not that much difference in term of Size grip , Control, Power or might get tennis elbow due to slightly bigger?
I go between 1/4 & 3/8 as well, I believe if you are more abt control, power with flatter shots, slightly thicker grip is better, if you are some kind of spin master or want to really use a flexible wrist all around then I would suggest you use 1/4, and I personally thing 1/8 is too small for an adult male unless you really have smaller hands. when my opponent Rips a power shot, I prefer a stable grip with at least 1/4 size or 3/8. I don't go larger than 3/8.
@@modern_method Thank you for your advice.
I put my dampener in the illegal place and no care where I put it. Ironically, I play better tennis by putting my dampener in this spot, and even though I do get caught, they don't care.
When I tested this racket I felt that even though this racket is a power house, I thought this version had a decent amount of control especially if you naturally put spin on the ball with your ground strokes 💙🤍
Which string u used for Babolat strike?
I was in that store 😁
Clear, nice advice. May sound wierd, but to me just an overgrip is making huge impact on how I feel to play. Using an HEAD L4 (with any L3 I've my fingers touching the palm even if I'm not tall), without overgrip the wirst is really free and I can add tons of tipspin BUT the impact feels less "solid" and I've much less control. On the other hand, putting an overgrip on, it'ss locking the wirst, and even if I get less power, then I've much more control over the swing and can hit flatter shots without "moonball trajectories".
Hi, Love your content and channel, Quick Question which cosmetics you love more ? the old one 2019 or the new 2024 ?Hi, Love your content and channel, Quick Question which cosmetics you love more ? the old one 2019 or the new 2024 ?
I measured from the centre of my palm to the tip of my ring finger and it's 4 and 3/4 in, so I actually feel more stable and comfortable with a 5 in grip. I usually hold my racquet so that the butt just protrudes a bit beyond my palm. I used a 4 and 1/2 grip but got tennis elbow from it.
4 1/2 all day everyday
Thanks for the great video! I’m an upper intermediate player getting arm pain from the Pure Aero 100. I’m looking at these for better comfort and control, but still want to get spin and power like the Aero. The VCore sounds ideal but would you only recommend for advanced players?
So, let me get this right. I am not allowed to place my dampener one string inside the string bed, but am allowed to use a dampener which is as large as the lowest string, and place it there?
What’s up brother . I was wondering if you can help me out . I’ve been playing with the prince triple threat hornet for a while. Looking for an update on my rackets . Is there a Yonex racket the plays like the prince TT hornet ?
Indoor Clay court? is it outdoor in the summer and then they put up a tenth in the winter?
You forgot the Kirshbaum Super Smash orange 1.23mm, the best budget of all time.
Hey morning! Love the video, thank you. I've been playing with standard ProStaffs for a long time. Never really had the courage to change. My game is varied. I like playing a tactical game, with lots of moving around the court, but at the same time, I find myself often against players with strong ground game and I start to loose stamina with the ProStaff. Also, the tiny sweet spot requires me not only to generate my own power, but to maintain accuracy while I do it.... Things I love about the racket: precision (it's like a razor, I control the ball better than any other racket I tried), power generation (I am happy to generate my own power and I love the rackets predictable response). Gaps I want to fill: a racket that ideally can keep the precision of the ProStaff, but will be a little bit more forgiving when the long ground rallies get going (Im thinking: slightly bigger sweet spot and a bit more racket power than the ProStaff). But I really don't want to sacrifice that precision and the confidence that the prostaff gives me to go for the corners/lines. Any ideas?!?! (Also, how do the new Prostaffs compare to the old Prostate 90s?) Thank you so much!
Higher Dvelwe time and more power...... Do a Hybrid with syn gut in cross.
MSV Focus Hex
Have you tried the Pure Drive Team? If so, how different was it from the Pure Drive? I know it is lighter but any other things you noticed?
what string set up?
I’m currently using Yonex Ezone 100 and using Razor Code. I bought Iga Swiatek’s Tecnifibre and am looking for new strings. What would you recommend?
You lack to speak about/ give score for the Stability.
RF gives you too much muscle
la recomiendas a alguien que va a iniciar y tiene muy buena condición física?
I have two Wilson Blade 98’s but the grip sizes are slightly different. One is a 4 3/8 and the other is 4 1/4. I like the 4 3/8 best. I was told to just add grip tape to my 4 1/4 racquet to make it match my 4 3/8. Does this work? I can’t tell if I can feel a difference or if it’s all in my head. But I tend to prefer the 4 3/8.
Be fantastic to also review the Head Instinct Line as this was on Heads list of tour rotation just a year ago and Boom tooks its place. but its still updates with the tech atleast until 360+
Totally disagree on power. I own both and the Ezone gives easier power to me anyway.
No one cares.
For an aggressive baseline player, which racket do you consider best? pure drive or pure aero rafa? and maybe 285 grams moves better than 300 grams? with some lead in the head... what do you think? thank you❤
Vs Babolat Pure Strike 16 19 / 18 20 pls? Intermediate player
You said you would recommend another racket for serve volleyers--what would that be? Thanks.
Brilliant. Thanks for this video. Helped me choose between them.
Thoughts on the Pure Drive Tour?
Played with the EZONE two days ago and didn't feel the control so high. Maybe that's because I usually play with 100% control raquets. Found it really comfortable though, good racquet overall, just not for me.
I am age 72 & have developed tennis elbow. I play with "old style"-long swing, contintal grip, hit ball flat- I am using Wilson n6 grip 41/2 HS4 weight 260 grams string tension 56 (I think) Should I perhaps be using a slighly lighter racket , perghaps with a 4 3/8 grip? I am resting from tennis for a month & am doing recommended exercises Great video! Clive
Hello, i’m a lower intermediate player starting off. I own a speed mp 2022 but considering the ezone 98/100 as well. Do you think it’s worth getting the ezone or do the speed mp and ezone play similar?
Is this channel still alive?
But why is it illegal?
He should have mentioned in the video, otherwise it's just like this -> Source: Trust me bro
He actually said that when the ball hits the dampener it bounces unpredictably, which I guess may not be fair to the opponent
The 2023 Pure Drive is worth a visit!
Indeed I have seen and used a size 6 grip ( 4 3/4 ). It is indeed a handful. I used one briefly about 46 years ago 2 years after embracing the sport. I used it on the advice of a seasoned, solid player that told me the bigger the grip the more stable my groundstrokes would feel in my hand. It was obviously also a very heavy racket. I had been using a 4 5/8 very comfortably until that point. The reasoning again was the larger the grip and heavier the racket the stronger the shot. I used the racket for about 5 months and indeed it helped develop more power and stability. It made my forearm larger and more striated, therefore more powerful which was the expectation. I switched back to my 4 5/8 Donnay Allwood after about 5 months. Ever since I have used a 5/8. I was taught to play in the fashion of the time and the larger grip sizes worked very well for me. I still use a 5/8 ( if available ) and I don't possess the modern buggywhip forehand. I am a much flatter hitter with sufficient topspin to keep the ball in the court. I remember my one handed backhand improved quite a bit after this experiment. Nowadays some manufacturers don't even bother to make a 5/8 size. My solution is to buy the 1/2, replace the basegrip with a tecnifibre wax grip max, (2.1 mm thickness) and that takes me to a 5/8 grip size. I've always had large hands and have used 5/8 since I was a little kid. Smaller grips feel unnatural to me, which has prevented me from experimenting with smaller grips. I could probably use a 1/2, but would most definitely feel the difference. I'm very happy with my groundstrokes so for me, the bigger the better.
haha, look at 343, what is that shot, haha, so funny, clumsy. put down the phone, stop reviewing and get your clumsy self on the court and train.
i cant believe that this guy rewiews rackets with authority, when you see his shots it is even funnier...hahahahaha
I have a Pure Strike 3rd gen 16x19, awesome frame but too harsh on my arm, I´ve been playing with syn gut and repacled the original grip with a grip from Artengo, so far so good, 3 months in and my arm certainly feels more the impact if compared to my Vcores HD but nothing really worrying, not pain or anything the day afetr a long hit. I´ve been trying to buy a second 16x19 but it has proven to be almost an impossible task where I live, I managed to find a new 18x20, thats why I landed on this video, I used to play with 18x20, it has been my preferred pettern until my stint with the Pro Staff and now that I´ve switched to the Pure Strike, is not a new experience for me to play with this pattern but this time I want to pair it with the 16x19 and make them play as close to each other as possible. Your video gives me an incredible insight and I think it´s safe to say they both play quite similar. What would you say is the best way to make them play as close as possible? I play with Yonex Dynawire syn gut at 48 pounds. Thanks.
my grip size measured is between L3 n L4 , but i just feel more comfortable using a L2. sometimes when i can feel the racket wiggle when i hit hard and thought i should go L3. but when i put another overgrip to bump up the grip size, i just play worst and dont feel comfortable. a yonex L2 fits be well. any idea if babolat or head L2 is similar/smaller or biggher than L2 of yonex?
Yonex L2 is clearly bigger than Babolat and Wilson. FOr sure. I just switched from a L3 Pro staff to a VCORE L2 and the yonex is almost the same. Just a very little bit smaller. Wich is great
i like that racket Ezone 2020,, where to buy
been using e vcore 100pro since i return to the game after about 15years. added 3grams at 9 and 3 oclock and stability so much between. playing for 3 months now and hands getting itchy to try more rackets!
Hi Ipin you're already big..
hi, do you think yonex will release ecore 8th generation this year?
