I'm split on if she's really dead as you see a flash of shimmer dash away from Jinx and Warwick before the blast, Kait is researching the building to see if there was an exit route and the final scene is a Piltover airship flying away before we see the artwork associated with Jinx's mental breakdowns before fading to black which would be a pay off to one of if not Powder/Jinx's first line "one day I'm going to ride in one of those things" and those who play the game know Jinx has a similar looking airship. Plus we never saw a body confirming the kill which the rule of TV is that if you don't see the body they're not 100% dead and even in Arcane proven with Vander even seeing the body doesn't confirm death

Jinx broke the cycle here. The only way to resolve the dilemma of Vi choosing between her and Cait and the conflict between Zaun and Piltover was to leave just like Silco said. And in ending her father's torment one last time, she gave Vi the life she deserved.

Cait saw an anomaly within the tunnel being splash with shimmer touches and ghost Silco told to Jinx earlier that the only way the cycle will end is if she walkaway.. also in episode 1 at the start of the show, Powder said she wanna ride the ballon ship one day and now the ending for arcane is the Ballon ship sailing away.. I believe Jinx is in that ship, riding and going away from anyone so she couldn't jinx anyone anymore.. Maybe well get to see her more in the upcoming arcane series but on different region.. Hope Jinx meets some friendly champion. Honestly, 10/10 ending.. the writters are fckn insanely good

This is like the opposite of deux ex machina, wholly unanticipated unearned tragedy, but at least it’s probable Jinx survived. Pink dash from the flames of the explosion, Caitlyn reading schematics holding the very same bomb, and presupposing Jinx did what she promised to do in her first line of the series “I’m going to ride in one of those things”, showing a blimp as the last scene, also showing the end of hex gates and by extension hextech, hence her successfully “ending the cycle” of jinxing as she intended, and “THE END” is animated the same way as the cut to the end credits of S1, crackling and jittery, like the characteristic stylisation of her schizophrenia. So I’ve got mixed feelings about the way her faux death was portrayed, but it was actually heavily foreshadowed and excellently post-faced. I can’t give a rating.
It's an obvious stroke of genius on the part of Riot for us to keep watching their projects, hoping that the most sought-after character will return. But it all depends on whether they really want to do it? For example, the leadership may change, then she officially dies, but so far, yes, she is like "Schrodinger's Cat"
JINX DIDN'T DIE You can see her shimmer spark she usually does before "teleporting" in quick fight scenes before the explosion hits and also at the end you can see cait looking at a specific vent which i assume its the vent jinx took to escape .

If you look in 2:14 Powder doesnt open her eyes that means one who see the flashback is vander not jinx so probably after that vander shield himself for jinx and secure his daughter with Last part of his humanity.
Leaving an open ending for Jinx is actually kinda perfect. In the past episodes she's usually seen as a symbol of Undercity's hatred against Topside. And when the two cities united once again due to external threats, Zaunites get a seat of table, Silco's dream is finally realized and the hatred is eventually gone, Jinx just vanishes along with the ended warfare, buried deep below the surface with the miserable past of Zaun, or maybe flew high away from the wasteland, bringing the cycle to an end. And a new beginning.
caitlyn lose her mother, mel lose her mother and her lover (jayce), ekko also lose her lover (jinx/powder), and vi lose her family. i think the only one who got a happy ending here is just heimerdinger lmao.
Heimerdinger is dead. The only one who got a seemingly happy ending is Singed! Jinx is probably alive though, she faked her death to start a new life far from Piltover and Zaun.

Maybe she died; maybe she didn't. But if she is, at least she went out as a last act of love for her sister. Nonetheless, it's really heartbreaking to see that one sister's happiness comes at the cost of the other's life. Powder and Ekko, but Vi died. Vi and Caitlyn, but Jinx 'dies' or at least has to fake it and be permanently separated to end the cycle. Although, considering that many of us had already been guessing the possibility of Jinx dying as she's Silco's parallel, her death comes more 'naturally' than Vi's, who wasn't ever considered to be some character who could die in the series. Jinx gets to go as a hero, at least. RIP Jinx. I hope you find Isha up there. They could never make me not love you.
Not for a second do i buy that she’s dead. 1. You can literally see the shimmer trail from her jumping away as the explosion goes off. 2. Last scene with the airship flying off mirrors the scene from season 1 when powder says one day she’s gonna ride in one of those things. 3. Cait is holding the head of the monkey from jinx’s bomb and looking at schematics of the hextech shaft were jinx and vander blew up. She zooms in on a section for the ventilation shafts where jinx might’ve escaped too. Also I’m assuming they found no body which would make cait even more suspicious since the head of the monkey which was literally a part of the bomb is still intact so it wouldn’t make sense for the body to be completely gone. 4. Vi is way too happy in wake of jinx’s death which might be because she believes her sister might’ve escaped somehow. 5. From a writing standpoint if this really was jinx’s death then it was very poorly executed and basically shoehorned in. The writers of the show have proven to be better than that so it makes more sense that they would go for the more sound ending of jinx faking her death.

I think shes dead as are all the ones that are playable but died. The thing about LOL is it dose not state when in the timeline the game takes place. You could claim the game is set just at the start of season 2 when Vi becomes a enforcer and nobody from the game is dead at that point
Ngl, considering the hints that Jinx survived, I had this funny idea of her heading to Bilgewater for a moment. I think that place is where Jinx would fit right in.
I feel liked Jinx’s story here was rushed like she went from her lowest point in the beginning of the episode to fully “mature” and active 30 minutes later. Overall if the story had time to breathe this would have felt way more impactful, but it’s still pretty awesome to see her in her new look.

Kinda hate how he just exists in act 3 even tho they made such a big deal about him being a rage monster again in episode 6. Like he saves Viktors live and becomes one of his army... Thats it. Although admittedly this scene is good. I hate even more how his Arcane design reminds me of Beast in the liveaction Beauty and the Beast. It just doesnt look good imo, but I guess you argue they did it to humanize him more as Vander (though even then I think that couldve been cooler when he was just a wolf).
she is alive first when the explosion happens before that u can see a purple line for a single frame ( same as jinx super speed ) second cat see the blueprint there will be lot of ventilation in that chamber where the bomb explode ( jinx escaped through that vent ) plus ekko said before these ventilation spread throughout underground city third the last scene u can see a blimp ( powder said in first episode oneday she want to travel in that blimp ) and we can see jinx scribbles at the end of that scene means she is leaving piltover and zaun fourth i believe jinx is going to noxus ( is a region the next arcane story will be focused i think so) because we saw swain's crow (sixeye) travel along with the noxus ships ( maybe to cure warwick/vander i dont know)
In my head canon Jinx survived the explosion and manages to escapes in one of the tunnels running on top of hexgate, that's why we saw a white airship at the end with jinx on board off to somewhere where she can start fresh and finally live happy.
I spent HOURS crying hysterically, losing my goddamn mind at the thought of losing my Jinx. You won't believe how messed up I truly was. Jinx is my everything, and it's because of her that I'm still here. I'm talking to you now because I realized that there are multiple hints to her survival, and that makes me feel better. Godspeed, Jinx.

I understand having a comfort character, but Jinx surviving wouldn’t be good for the way Arcane ended. It would feel cheap. Many characters died. Jinx died. Let’s honor her sacrifice and understand that sacrifice was a huge part of this as they hinted at it quite a bit.

A suicidal characters refinding their will to live isn’t “cheap” it would be very impactful if her desire to go evolved from killing herself into leaving her sister behind to start over. I think having it where she killed herself instead of instilling some hope of healing is cheap.
If you look at the upper middle near the right in the scene where you see the explosion. You see Jinx's shimmer lightning effect running along one of the pipes. Indicating she ran out just before dropping the grenade on top of Vander-Wick

@@rhongominyad66 I mean aligning LoL with the actual Arcane lore doesn't rlly work anymore. Jayce, Viktor and Ambessa are dead for sure, but still exist in game. Like Jinx in LoL is the version of her between S1 & S2, so it's just a mingle of what version works best for each character and throw them together.
I love how Jinx seems completely at peace in this scene, even if I've got the feeling that she's still alive. Seeing Vander as a loving father broke my heart, but it felt like he was finally at peace too, after everything that happened to his body. A very nice ending !
You can see the purple shimmer lighting at the beginning of the explosion. She did in fact escape, thank god one of the best arcane characters… but so many important characters died it’s so heartbreaking. But I appreciate a more realistic approach to a story like this where instead of bending the facts to match a happy ending you actually let them unfold logically. this ending was beyond sad but hey guys Arcane is supposed to be canonly related to the league of legends canon lore so it is technically impossible that Jinx, Vander/Warwick, Jayce and Viktor are dead, this was the ending of the Arcane lore but i’m hoping we will see most of these characters again in other future projects surrounding more stories in Runeterra hopefully this end is the beginning of something bigger
Isn’t it wired that in the last part of this episode Caitlyn looked at one of the tunnels in the Hextec gate on her computer, to me that feels like Jinx is still alive in that tunnel.
She (And Even Warwick, I'm still in denial that he is gone) isn't dead, she probably escaped through the vents or she went into an Alternate Universe since Runeterra does dabble in Multiverse stuff.
I like how they portrayed her super speed, there are many clear lines of the shimmer trails that you can see that always show exactly how fast she can be. At 2:27 if you pause and use " , " or " . " to move between frames to 2:28, you'll see her moving at super sonic speeds, or rather LIGHTNING.
1:34 another cool thing (maybe just my interpretation) when Vi screams "powder" Jinx has a somewhat satisfied face,kinda comes full circle from the whole "you got the name right" line at the start of the season for me
bro, Jinx didn't die, she faked her death to leave everything behind and make sure Vi had a happy life with Caitlyn, plus the only thing they found of Jinx was the monkey's head, when Caitlyn was looking at a hextech map (whatever you call it) she also saw the breathing tunnels, because she wanted which way Jinx had managed to escape, plus Jinx was able to protect herself with Vander's body, which was no longer even Vander himself, at the end a floating ship or boat is shown (I don't remember the name), which means Jinx is leaving Zaun and Piltover, after all Zaun and Piltover are cities of peace again, meaning sisters again, the exposition that Jinx used was one of colored smoke, the rays that appeared are from the blue sphere that fell into the void.
I finished S2 about thirty seconds ago - thank GOD because this massive spoiler just appeared on my feed without prior searching. I would have been GUTTED. Give it at least 24 hours to let the stragglers catch up!
SPOILERS It is heavily implied that Jinx survived, before the explosion you can see her shimmer speed trail beam off to the side - either she escaped Vander or Vander threw her (the flashback is implied to be vander remembering his daughters one last time). Then Cait using her kiraman key smiles as she notices hidden ventilation ducts where Jinx could have possibly escaped. Then we see a Piltovan Airship flyng AWAY from Piltover which is odd and we know Jinx had a child hood dream to fly in an Airship. BUT it is also heavily implied that Vander/Warwick survived as well. Not only was Warwick very resilient to damage before, but with his new viktor body he was seen as close to indestructible. Singed needed WW to cure his daughter Oriana, and we see Oriana finally awake for the first time with Singed happily behind her. Singed also said he had a way to reverse Viktor's effects -the elixer he made that melts Viktor's metal out of Warwicks body in Viktor's utopia which starts his rampage against the noxian army and Isha's sacrifice. Orianna being alive implies that Singed got his hands on Warwick again, continued experiments and undid what Viktor did, then successfully healed his daughter. Her new mechanical body could possibly point to the idea of Singed using the Viktor/Warwick parts to revive her - which is why the in-game version of Warwick differs massively in appearance to his Arcane version. I believe, with the elixer and the idea that Viktor transfers and collects human consciousness/souls, Singed was able to melt and reverse engineer the arcane technology from Viktor's evolution/Warwick's body to build oriana a new mechanical body and then transferred her soul over.
If you think Jinx/Powder is still alive : 1 Denial and isolation 2 Anger 3 Bargaining 4 Depression 5 Acceptance. Seek help and do what she ask for " Please let me go"
It's far more likely that Jinx survived rather than dying, there are various hints to that, which many others have already covered. However it seems we'll never be 100% sure of it, because they didn't show her alive and well on the air baloon.
The airballon got the Jinx scribes imposed on it at the end. Caitlin sees the tunnel Jinx escaped through. She as a piece of the bomb. We know Cait has super human tracking skills. Cait knows Jinx is alive and possible help arrange transport on that airship (aka by getting the guards to look the other way). The song itself can be for suicide OR wanting to escape one's current life to start another. The show showed both version. Also, Victor merged with Warwick mind during his Glorious Evolution. When look at Jinx during the fall, Vander is looking thru Warwick Arcane eyes, giving him that moment to let go of Jinx. He doing what Vi could not- look after Powder by letting her go. Just as he attempted to do by going to jail.
Truly the feels of Jinx's sacrifice, or in a sense, quick ditch effort to trigger the bomb and blinked just in time ( 2:28 ) to let Warwick get caught in the explosion, look closely Even after Viktor's control and under the Hextech corrosion ( 0:50 ), Warwick completely took over to claw at anything in a blind rage and whats left is the smelted tears of who Vander was ( 2:00 ), either fully gone or in fragments, and guessing from that amount of damage, the explosion might've scrapped enough Hextech corrosion off of Vander/Warwick's body to end up, lets say partial, and knocked out again while allowing his body to heal, which over time, Singed found him again and patched him up with new augmentations and repairs, leading up to the Warwick we know and love Who knows, it is just a silly theory, and loved the design of Arcane's Warwick, a memory lane of the old iconic Wolfman look, with a mix of Warwick's augmentations, and the other form, alien looking with his design with fragments of his former self like the hand and implants

So I’ve got mixed feelings about the way her faux death was portrayed, but it was actually heavily foreshadowed and excellently post-faced. I can’t give a rating.

You can see her shimmer spark she usually does before "teleporting" in quick fight scenes before the explosion hits and also at the end you can see cait looking at a specific vent which i assume its the vent jinx took to escape .

In the past episodes she's usually seen as a symbol of Undercity's hatred against Topside. And when the two cities united once again due to external threats, Zaunites get a seat of table, Silco's dream is finally realized and the hatred is eventually gone, Jinx just vanishes along with the ended warfare, buried deep below the surface with the miserable past of Zaun, or maybe flew high away from the wasteland, bringing the cycle to an end. And a new beginning.

@@blazej0864the writers would out right show her body. They did it for Cait's mom but they didn't do it with Jinx. So that means that she must've gotten away safely.
Maybe she died; maybe she didn't. But if she is, at least she went out as a last act of love for her sister. Nonetheless, it's really heartbreaking to see that one sister's happiness comes at the cost of the other's life. Powder and Ekko, but Vi died. Vi and Caitlyn, but Jinx 'dies' or at least has to fake it and be permanently separated to end the cycle. Although, considering that many of us had already been guessing the possibility of Jinx dying as she's Silco's parallel, her death comes more 'naturally' than Vi's, who wasn't ever considered to be some character who could die in the series. Jinx gets to go as a hero, at least.

Not for a second do i buy that she’s dead.
1. You can literally see the shimmer trail from her jumping away as the explosion goes off.
2. Last scene with the airship flying off mirrors the scene from season 1 when powder says one day she’s gonna ride in one of those things.
3. Cait is holding the head of the monkey from jinx’s bomb and looking at schematics of the hextech shaft were jinx and vander blew up. She zooms in on a section for the ventilation shafts where jinx might’ve escaped too. Also I’m assuming they found no body which would make cait even more suspicious since the head of the monkey which was literally a part of the bomb is still intact so it wouldn’t make sense for the body to be completely gone.
4. Vi is way too happy in wake of jinx’s death which might be because she believes her sister might’ve escaped somehow.
5. From a writing standpoint if this really was jinx’s death then it was very poorly executed and basically shoehorned in. The writers of the show have proven to be better than that so it makes more sense that they would go for the more sound ending of jinx faking her death.
This scene is really sad. I will never recover from this scene

I think shes dead as are all the ones that are playable but died. The thing about LOL is it dose not state when in the timeline the game takes place. You could claim the game is set just at the start of season 2 when Vi becomes a enforcer and nobody from the game is dead at that point

I feel liked Jinx’s story here was rushed like she went from her lowest point in the beginning of the episode to fully “mature” and active 30 minutes later. Overall if the story had time to breathe this would have felt way more impactful, but it’s still pretty awesome to see her in her new look.

Kinda hate how he just exists in act 3 even tho they made such a big deal about him being a rage monster again in episode 6. Like he saves Viktors live and becomes one of his army... Thats it. Although admittedly this scene is good.
I hate even more how his Arcane design reminds me of Beast in the liveaction Beauty and the Beast. It just doesnt look good imo, but I guess you argue they did it to humanize him more as Vander (though even then I think that couldve been cooler when he was just a wolf).

fourth i believe jinx is going to noxus ( is a region the next arcane story will be focused i think so) because we saw swain's crow (sixeye) travel along with the noxus ships ( maybe to cure warwick/vander i dont know)

In my head canon Jinx survived the explosion and manages to escapes in one of the tunnels running on top of hexgate, that's why we saw a white airship at the end with jinx on board off to somewhere where she can start fresh and finally live happy.

I understand having a comfort character, but Jinx surviving wouldn’t be good for the way Arcane ended. It would feel cheap. Many characters died. Jinx died. Let’s honor her sacrifice and understand that sacrifice was a huge part of this as they hinted at it quite a bit.

A suicidal characters refinding their will to live isn’t “cheap” it would be very impactful if her desire to go evolved from killing herself into leaving her sister behind to start over. I think having it where she killed herself instead of instilling some hope of healing is cheap.

This was heartbreaking scene to watch. The flashback's to Vander, Jinx's sacrifice. I cried.
If you look at the upper middle near the right in the scene where you see the explosion. You see Jinx's shimmer lightning effect running along one of the pipes. Indicating she ran out just before dropping the grenade on top of Vander-Wick

@@rhongominyad66 I mean aligning LoL with the actual Arcane lore doesn't rlly work anymore. Jayce, Viktor and Ambessa are dead for sure, but still exist in game. Like Jinx in LoL is the version of her between S1 & S2, so it's just a mingle of what version works best for each character and throw them together.

Seeing Vander as a loving father broke my heart, but it felt like he was finally at peace too, after everything that happened to his body. A very nice ending !

She did in fact escape, thank god one of the best arcane characters… but so many important characters died it’s so heartbreaking. But I appreciate a more realistic approach to a story like this where instead of bending the facts to match a happy ending you actually let them unfold logically. this ending was beyond sad but hey guys Arcane is supposed to be canonly related to the league of legends canon lore so it is technically impossible that Jinx, Vander/Warwick, Jayce and Viktor are dead, this was the ending of the Arcane lore but i’m hoping we will see most of these characters again in other future projects surrounding more stories in Runeterra hopefully this end is the beginning of something bigger

Isn’t it wired that in the last part of this episode Caitlyn looked at one of the tunnels in the Hextec gate on her computer, to me that feels like Jinx is still alive in that tunnel.

I like how they portrayed her super speed, there are many clear lines of the shimmer trails that you can see that always show exactly how fast she can be. At 2:27 if you pause and use " , " or " . " to move between frames to 2:28, you'll see her moving at super sonic speeds, or rather LIGHTNING.

bro, Jinx didn't die, she faked her death to leave everything behind and make sure Vi had a happy life with Caitlyn, plus the only thing they found of Jinx was the monkey's head, when Caitlyn was looking at a hextech map (whatever you call it) she also saw the breathing tunnels, because she wanted which way Jinx had managed to escape, plus Jinx was able to protect herself with Vander's body, which was no longer even Vander himself, at the end a floating ship or boat is shown (I don't remember the name), which means Jinx is leaving Zaun and Piltover, after all Zaun and Piltover are cities of peace again, meaning sisters again, the exposition that Jinx used was one of colored smoke, the rays that appeared are from the blue sphere that fell into the void.
I finished S2 about thirty seconds ago - thank GOD because this massive spoiler just appeared on my feed without prior searching. I would have been GUTTED. Give it at least 24 hours to let the stragglers catch up!

It is heavily implied that Jinx survived, before the explosion you can see her shimmer speed trail beam off to the side - either she escaped Vander or Vander threw her (the flashback is implied to be vander remembering his daughters one last time). Then Cait using her kiraman key smiles as she notices hidden ventilation ducts where Jinx could have possibly escaped. Then we see a Piltovan Airship flyng AWAY from Piltover which is odd and we know Jinx had a child hood dream to fly in an Airship.
BUT it is also heavily implied that Vander/Warwick survived as well. Not only was Warwick very resilient to damage before, but with his new viktor body he was seen as close to indestructible. Singed needed WW to cure his daughter Oriana, and we see Oriana finally awake for the first time with Singed happily behind her. Singed also said he had a way to reverse Viktor's effects -the elixer he made that melts Viktor's metal out of Warwicks body in Viktor's utopia which starts his rampage against the noxian army and Isha's sacrifice.
Orianna being alive implies that Singed got his hands on Warwick again, continued experiments and undid what Viktor did, then successfully healed his daughter. Her new mechanical body could possibly point to the idea of Singed using the Viktor/Warwick parts to revive her - which is why the in-game version of Warwick differs massively in appearance to his Arcane version.
I believe, with the elixer and the idea that Viktor transfers and collects human consciousness/souls, Singed was able to melt and reverse engineer the arcane technology from Viktor's evolution/Warwick's body to build oriana a new mechanical body and then transferred her soul over.

It's far more likely that Jinx survived rather than dying, there are various hints to that, which many others have already covered. However it seems we'll never be 100% sure of it, because they didn't show her alive and well on the air baloon.
The airballon got the Jinx scribes imposed on it at the end. Caitlin sees the tunnel Jinx escaped through. She as a piece of the bomb. We know Cait has super human tracking skills. Cait knows Jinx is alive and possible help arrange transport on that airship (aka by getting the guards to look the other way). The song itself can be for suicide OR wanting to escape one's current life to start another. The show showed both version.
Also, Victor merged with Warwick mind during his Glorious Evolution. When look at Jinx during the fall, Vander is looking thru Warwick Arcane eyes, giving him that moment to let go of Jinx. He doing what Vi could not- look after Powder by letting her go. Just as he attempted to do by going to jail.

Truly the feels of Jinx's sacrifice, or in a sense, quick ditch effort to trigger the bomb and blinked just in time ( 2:28 ) to let Warwick get caught in the explosion, look closely
Even after Viktor's control and under the Hextech corrosion ( 0:50 ), Warwick completely took over to claw at anything in a blind rage and whats left is the smelted tears of who Vander was ( 2:00 ), either fully gone or in fragments, and guessing from that amount of damage, the explosion might've scrapped enough Hextech corrosion off of Vander/Warwick's body to end up, lets say partial, and knocked out again while allowing his body to heal, which over time, Singed found him again and patched him up with new augmentations and repairs, leading up to the Warwick we know and love
Who knows, it is just a silly theory, and loved the design of Arcane's Warwick, a memory lane of the old iconic Wolfman look, with a mix of Warwick's augmentations, and the other form, alien looking with his design with fragments of his former self like the hand and implants
