    Good video, I hear all sorts of stories about peoples side skirts popping off after they use a jack on their Abarth. I'm just about to put coilovers on and use a regular jack to do so and I purchased a couple jack pads to make it easier. This video does a good job pointing out the safe spots to lift the car without damaging anything- nice job.

    Hey great video, 2012 Abarth owner as well as a 2012 mini cooper s coupe and a Porsche 996 , I was looking to purchase a Quick Jack that would work for all my cars and could not decide which model would work, you answered my question. Thank you so much, look forward to more videos.

    I have 5000 TLX. Its very tricky getting the 500 raised on it. I had to use them backwards (hoses pointed to back) for it to work. The jacks just barely fit within the wheelbase, and press against the tires on the way up. It's tricky, but not impossible. I need the TLX for my other cars.

    What are you using for a cart for the QuickJack compressor? That looks awesome!

    Great video. I need a set but cant find them anywhere. Do the rubber quick jack ones on your site work as well?

    I think you want the safety arms on the outside and not the inside. You don't want the hydraulics to fail while you're reaching through the jack and your arm get caught.

      Good suggestion. I have seen it done both ways but agree, that would be the way to go.

    Bryan, hate to change topic but where did you get the Abarth flooring? I love it! Do you have it on your website?

    another great video Bryan , always wanted to know if the quick jack would work - will the taller blocks work with a lowered Abarth?

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance
      @NGENCustomsandPerformance  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Langley yes they do! In fact, I only use the taller blocks. In order to use them, slide the quick jack underneath the car first, then put the blocks on. As another subscriber stated, keeps you from potentially having an issue with the sideskirts

      Yeah that makes sense.. the pinch welds are higher up then the bottom of the side skirts... Thanks again

      The 7000lb option I do not believe will fit. It will be too long

    Great video! As some users mentioned in the comments though, do make sure to keep the frames so that the safety locks are towards the outside of the frames! It's easier that way, and more importantly, safer! Also as mentioned, the locks should engage automatically, all you need to do is loosen the bolt on the lock bar to make that happen.(we have a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/fwMZr3quWLs/w-d-xo.html) We're happy you're putting it to good use and love the channel!!!

    Using the quick jack on my Abarth, the front of the jack pressed into the front of the side skirt, causing it to flex and come partially unglued :(

    • @NGENCustomsandPerformance
      @NGENCustomsandPerformance  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Renagade 187 it’s all about positioning. Plus, we use the taller blocks which help prevent what happened to you. Try it again, checking to make sure it is positioned in the right spot with the taller blocks and you should never have that issue.

      My side skirt became partially unglued without even jacking. They are just known to fail on these cars.

    Loosen the bolt at the top of each safety latch bar so you don't have to engage them. They should swing freely and engage automatically. The safety bars should also be to the outside to prevent the need to reach through the jacks which is very unsafe.

      You know you are absolutely right. I’m not sure why I had it labeled that way even though it does works the same for all 500 models. I have edited the title.
