    I had a diode laser and upgraded to an 80 watt co2 laser last year. I LOVE it! It has paid for itself a few times in the last year.

      I may be doing that as well. I fear I spoke too soon on this one that I've received, I'm having a few issues with it. What brand/laser do you use?

      @@burnstockwoodworking I have the omtech 80watt. I ordered it from eBay because it could ship faster than ordering it straight from omtech. It was a game changer. It is definitely an investment but it has paid for itself a few times over. I got it last November and it was paid for by my first craft show in March. That’s was without trying real hard. I use light burn which was the same program I was using with my ortur diode so that was nothing too different to learn.

      It's a great tool to have. It took me a few months to finally decided to buy one but it expanded so much of my business. These charcuterie boards led to a major sell of a bar top for the same client. If I couldn't do the engraving I wouldn't have gotten the other job.

    • @burnstockwoodworking
      @burnstockwoodworking  ปีที่แล้ว

      It stays a little oil no matter how much I wipe it afterward. Typically after the first wash it'll stop or if you apply the beeswax/mineral oil mixture it'll solidify.

    It’s getting cold in southern Louisiana? You mean “mild”. It’s getting “cold” in the northeast…shop has no heat. Tough to work in the shop when it’s in the teens and single digits outside.
    Uninsulated and two permanent open vents both top corners with high ceilings.
