- In this video, watch how to make a charcuterie board. I used maple for this one. This is how I make them, not sure if it's the right way but this is how I made this one.
Hope you like it, and I'll have links below for products I used.
Thanks,
Bruce

Great board and great video Bruce. And here I thought things had to be round to be so pretty..lol
Really a nice finish as well. I need to pick some of that up.
Take care buddy,
Gary
Hi Gary, thank you buddy! That flat stuff looks good too and it’s a nice little break from the lathe! Glad you liked them buddy!!👍🏻👍🏻
@@JordanWoodwerx for sure Bruce flat work is lots of fun as well and very beautiful as well. Matter of fact I just built a new information desk for our church. The old one was taken over with live streaming gear. It was really fun to do and came out pretty nice.
But that is out of my system so back to the lathe...LOL
@@ThePapa1947 hahaha, yes sir, I’m already back on the lathe!!
Great job
Thank you very much!
Very nice Bruce
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up

Awesome, Bruce!!! Making a flower shaped one for February?
Hello Daniel, thank you very much! No, but that is an excellent idea!!
Thanks... The best.....
Thank you very much!
Nice job, looks amazing. I’m just thinking about doing a few boards as I’ve been doing resin tables and some resin lamps during lockdown. I’m a plasterer so I’m busy with that now so unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time, I’d love to do this as my job/business though.
Thank you Kevin. The boards do really good! Good luck, I have a full time job as well which helps me do this!
Would have been a great place for a butterfly...
For sure! Thats a great idea!
Have you ever tried to make that insert without a lathe?
I think it is possible on a drill press, using hole saws. Drilling the inside of the insert 1st then the outside, clamping the work piece to the table.
@@JordanWoodwerx ok I see what you’re talking about. Thanks. Nice work!
@@webcrawler3332 thank you!👍🏻👍🏻
What do you think about adding a colored resin in the cracks?
Hi Donna, I love adding resin to cracks and voids! I did a walnut board awhile back and filled a void with resin and it came out amazing. Thanks for tuning in, I really appreciate it!👍🏻👍🏻
Love the walnut inlay! Did you cross grain the plug?
Thank you Lewis, the grain was matched.
Hello Jordan and thank you for the video. My question is-do you mineral oil the back side of the boards as well?
You are very welcome! Yes I did oil both sides, gives it good protection. Appreciate you checking it out.👍🏻👍🏻
@@JordanWoodwerx Thanks very much for your reply. I subscribed to your channel. Best wishes to ya.
@@brianward772 very appreciated, thanks Brian!
Beautiful work Jordan and that board looks awesome can I ask did you hit the live edge with the blow torch or is that the way it came out? Looks amazing no matter 👍👍👍
Hello Gavin, thank you!! I didn’t, that natural edge was just sanded back to smooth some edges, but that was the natural color.
@@JordanWoodwerx it looks absolutely awesome mother nature really is amazing
Awesome board! Great job. What was that glue that you used to fill the cracks? Didn't get what you said. Thanks , David
Thank you David, appreciate that very much! The glue was Starbond CA glue…basically super glue.👍🏻👍🏻
@@JordanWoodwerx Thank you!
Beautiful!!! Awesome job......soooooo, "charcuterie boards" is just a fancy name for live edge, or uneven edge cutting boards????
Just being silly there....
Hahaha, thank you Eric! Yes it is, love it!
Nice. Im in australia. How much does that sell for in your country?
Hi Tim, Thank you! I sell these for around eighty five. depends on the size.
@@JordanWoodwerx .thnx. that about right for australia ss it convrrts to our $110 ish
Very nice , i will gladly cut my home made salami on it .
Thanks for liking Ahron, appreciate you!
Did i hear you use "trick"?
Probably
@@JordanWoodwerx haven't heard that in ages. That was a nice walk back.
@@wyldemanironworx7099 thanks, I like to keep it old school 😀

Hi Greg, I agree , I started warming it before applying. Thanks for checking it out!
That is a grest shape with live edge....like the rest of the boards...nice video
Thank you Mom, glad you likey!! Love you!❤️
Great looking piece of wood!
Thanks Bailey! Came out good!👍🏻👍🏻
Gorgeous boards, Bruce!
I do have a question though...do you think you could get anymore wood underneath your lathe?! 😂 I sure hope you never drop anything down there, it would take you three weeks to dig it out enough to find it! Lol!
An awesome video, once again, my friend!
hahaha, hi Seth! I think I can squeeze a couple more chunks in there!! Thanks for checking the video out! Gotcha a sticker shout out on the next video! Be safe!
@@JordanWoodwerx Thanks man! Yours just arrived today! Hopefully get your shoutout up as well!
