Okay, so she's a little older now and her voice doesn't sound quite like it did back in the '80s, but Nina Blackwood still keeps her hair in an '80s style and she's still got that certain charm about her, and that's what really counts to those of us for whom Nina was a part of our lives via our TV screens back then.
I miss the original MTV format. I remember watching it when it first aired and it was awesome. I wish they'd rerun the old broadcasts too. Nina is awesome.
I definitely think if MTV were to bring back music related stuff while also keeping the reality shows they could do good, like music video channels on cable and streaming services like PlutoTV still get watched, I think they could do it
I lived in Maine from 1995 to 2000. Gave my neighbor Stephen King the gospel of Jesus Christ. He got hit by a truck, and I got hit by a Subaru. He’s published tons of novels and I have only self-published 2 books
MTV got weighed down trying to please everyone by having a little metal and some game shows and some soap operas and so on. Music fans still have the old early 8os MTV.
MTV's mistake was when it went reality. They had the formula to survive, especially if they evolved with the internet. They had the cutting edge game shows with Remote Control, a young Adam Sandler and Colin Quinn were the house comedians. They had Beavis and Butthead. They could have stayed with that model and evolved into streaming and been relevant. It is when they basically created Kardasian TV is when they jumped the shark.
I complained as a kid, watching the same 15 videos in a loop when MTV started-Then, "The Real World " & other shows of similar ilk started to take over. That's the point when I really started to miss those same 15 videos.

Nina was fabulous on MTV and looks fabulous today.
Glad to see she's living the Good Life in Maine.
I used to dream of living in Maine. I wound up in Olympia WA...Not Bad and not much snow!

Nina is awesome.
She's 100% spot on about everything. MTV in its heyday was revolutionary. It has devolved to pure garbage.
I was turning 10 when MTV premiered. Always loved Nina and her voice. And knew she was one of those girls…hahaha fun.
I had just started college. Had to go to a bar (18 then) to see it. I think Freeze Frame was the first video I saw.
Nina blackwood was so cool she looked like typical rocker but she is the real deal just a great person
I agree with her 100% only thing is I hate those crappy reality shows
Love her voice.
Cool lady and she’s right about the sad direction MTV took by leaving music videos behind.

I think they'd have a shot. It would have to be a system that cooperates with each other. TH-cam works well.

The original lineup of MTV was very cool and I haven't watched it in years and couldn't tell you what shows are even on that channel.
She sounds like she's gasping for air.
She's older.
Wanted to see her, because I happened to watch a Family Guy episode where she was mentioned. In a positive light, I assure you!
And now I have.
Nina is 1000% correct on MTV, these idiots who destroyed that Network should be jumped in an alley for what they did.
She’s the best ❤
She is right! MTV evolved into a reality TV channel. NO music just crap.
Video music was bomb but streaming ruined everything😣
smart woman. Everything she says here is 100% right on.
I remember Kennedy was also a VJ on MTV , now she is on Fox News
I do enjoy her!
Miss you, Nina.
Love, you. 💘

Love her ❤
Always thought she was a fox back then!!
I understand things never stay the same Time Marches On but what they did the MTV is a crying shame😢😢
Too bad she messed her voice up by smoking. Sounds like she has some wheezing going on as well...lord!

Wondering by her breathing if she was a heavy smoker...I certainly was
I wondered that too. I listen to Sirius radio all of the time. I don’t hear her breathe when she talks there.
On Sirius they probably edit out her breathing.
What happened to her voice?
2 packs a day
Her voice is like reagan possesed
Marge Simpson

They have bigfoot up in Maine..just saying.great interview
Lots of smoking.
Marge Simpson voice! Lol
Cigarettes and smoking. Cough cough. Wheeze wheeze.
I'm sorry but her voice need not be on radio
Well, Nobody asked you
@@nolann3815and no one asked you !
I completely disagree, I listen to her every day and she’s AWESOME!!!
😀👍📻
MTV is dead
she really looks rough
How long has it been, what dya expect?
She's 71 now. People age. Get over it.
