Thanks for uploading. We got MTV about a year after it started. Before MTV the only video's i watched were on HBO's Take 5, They would play a music video before a movie started.
Is it still on? Not the same if so…I remember you could call ,give your address …git a list with videos with three numbered codes…then you could call 1800# …punch the #’s and they would play your selection…. Def lep, The clash, etc.
Man do these guys bring back a great time in my life. What a great decade. I miss it all the time. I was lucky enough to be a teenager back then. If I could I would go back every ten years and relive it.
Fleetwood Mac's desert video and Squeeze's Coffee In Bed would somehow always be on in the background while Mtv played on the tv. The melodies of those two songs defined the 80's for me.
I had that bright red with yellow yellow letters jacket in the early 80s. I loved that jacket and people ooooh and awwww. Until one day I was walking between classes up the stairs and a boy said I looked like a big bottle of ketchup. Needless to say I never wore again.

Aaahhhh! The Golden age of MTV! Where the VJs were as big as the rock stars they helped promote. Does anyone watch it anymore 40 + years later?!
