What I absolutely love about the drift and car scene in general in Japan is how everything is so clean and well done. They seem really passionate about it but also very invested in their cars.
@@Yung_Smoke_Gang I wish more people would take inspiration on these Japanese guys. I went to a drift event last week in the south of France, it was the polar opposite of this, very cool but pure chaos with pretty much every drivers on the track at the same time, some pros (with Daigo Saito’s corvette funnily enough), some amateurs and some, like me, learning with a coach. Complete chaos even when it comes to the cars, some were really clean and at the same time there was an old Mercedes diesel without a bonnet, mismatched wheels etc
@@thatopendiffdude9109 yeah it’s kind of sad because it gives a bad image to the sport and drives the wrong crowd sometimes. Missiles cars are fun and cool but there’s a lot more to drifting than that, similarly than there’s more than just FD/D1GP. I think the main problem is that some part of Europe got a bit late into drifting and got into it with its emergence on social media rather than knowing and understanding its true origin with its culture. There’s obviously a lot of knowledgeable people out here but maybe the average drift enthusiast isn’t as much as they are in Japan
@@Charlie-Charlot Personally I am a fan of the euro-style missiles. They embody the low-budget, high-send spirit of drifting I think. May I ask, what track did you guys run?
This level of drifting is so much more interesting to watch than the big crazy builds, something more down to earth and up to driver skill. Some interesting match ups too!
The first guy was saying how it would be driver skill holding him back - clip then proceeds to cut to him absolutely ripping it into a corner, his skill is amazing! I don’t think I’d be ever able to do that. Can’t believe that his car runs on stock breaks, but it’s like belt belt level driving where he knows the way the car reacts to stock
One of the only channels where I am so excited for the intro. Like I am even excited for it while watching the prologue(or what u wanna call the cuts in at the beginning) - perfect music and clips. Awesome video, like always. :)
Awesome vlog. Great to see some competition racing. Thank you for covering tires, car set up and circuit technique. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
Consistency is super important! A quote I once heard that stuck with me "90% of battles are lost, not won" Ie most people win a battle because they made less mistakes
it looks like an entry level comp but although the cars have a normal build in terms of parts and engine, it seems that the handling and setup are well armed. looking forward to seeing what you get! best wishes!
11:22 I love hearing your opinion, personally I think it would be cool to see a deep dive of each run and what scores well or loses points, proximity, smoke, speed, etc from a judges perspective.
Just my 3rd person perspective, but the JZX's might do better at Mobara because of the inline 6's ability to produce torque in that big sweeper, whereas Nikko's corners seem tighter, and more suitable for perhaps lower powered 4 cylinders, focusing more on car handling than need for power to bring it out of the big turn(s).
you gotta do it man! even if its just entering the qualifier. That alone will be invaluable experience!! don't sell yourself short, you're a great driver. 🥳
few years ago i wanted to build an s13 to this spec but prices are insane now, i am glad i got my ps13 when i did though i bought it for drifting i have not actually taken it to my local track due to how prices are now just insane on these over here. S15 is in a similar bracket imo but if you still have the beercan maybe that would be a great project for something like this, give it another life of sorts
That was a fantastic video, I would love to see these more analytical videos, on how it's supposed to be done, how does the judging works and such. Honestly, it's still not entirely clear here what's being judged.
The S14 from Yoshidi is soo well speced. It would be perfect vor Alexi. And would be perfect when Alexi would compeed in this series. Just do it Alexi 😁
Divisional seems the closest to the old school D1SL vibe (peak of competition imo) which is so cool to see. Much more relatable feel to it than GP/FD/DMEC. Side note, you should definitely setup the Cresta for doing divisional. Little homage to competing in the Mk2 and the S15 gets to retain its current setup/duties
Another motivational bunch of clips that are leaning me towards getting a jzx lol. Also Alexi, can you vouch for powervehicles? Importing a drift ready car to the US seems like a dumb idea but who ever said I make good decisions :^) I want a jzx so bad lol
PV was the best buying experience ever for me- bought two and now that I live in Japan I'm kicking myself for not scooping up an S15 shell from them when I had the chance- highly recommend
you should do a series of more in depth review of the cars their running in japan. give a rundown of them so those of us in other countries can see whats being done differently!
if you weld one half of a silvia to the other half of a jzx then you'll have a monster for both circuits. That's how it works right? Also a silver chrome wrap like the back of the one at 13:43 would look sick on the beercan skyline
11:40 the yellow car hitting the wall made me laugh a bit because it showed "Wasak" for me as a Filipino because it means broken/damage in my language.
Love hearing about each driver's setup. Any chance for Meihan content? I'm aware it's a 5-hour drive from Tokyo but I am hoping to see that happen some day!
Let's gooo, Noriyaro D1 Lights 2025 🤙
Nice ! Not to brag but I personally am the undefeated champion of D1 delusional
goated comment lmfao
Damn 😂

that’s just japan in general from what i see as an american

@@Charlie-Charlot Its the same thing in Germany. Local drift events look like destruction derbys with completley destroyed and low effort tuned BMWs.

Is it just me or has been Alexi has been uploading much more frequent recently? Lovin it
Been a great treat to see all the videos 📹 in action! 🎬
Dont jinx it
i think he said he "went full time" recently
still waiting for any s15 jzx or beans update content that is not something burning down
This is what keeps me going lol
About time we start competing again!
Mr yoshida has a really cool s14! That livery looks amazing and the whole build is very clean
17:06 holy that was absolutely amazing, what a skill from the driver

R33 was on fire
Alexi, you have nothing to lose by entering. What you will learn and gain in experience is priceless! Great content as always!
The only thing you will definitely lose by competing is money, heaps of it. 😅
D1 with Pro-Succ
really love that black R33
This is an enjoyable level of competition
Noriyaro - "I don't think I've ever done that.." proceeds to post clip of him doing it 😂
👊🏾
Still, he didn't ride the ripple strip. He was inside of it the whole time, and his slip angle was much shallower.
Blowing off the bad juju at the end with compressed air was hilarious
Gold jzx was my favorite

that r33 was consistently doing hot entries lap after lap
Do it!! You should 100% enter even if it’s only for the experience more than anything
Awesome vlog. Great to see some competition racing. Thank you for covering tires, car set up and circuit technique. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.

This video makes me miss Alexi's JZX. That was my favorite car of his since we don't have them in the States
Such a fun level of competition. Well sorted cars with 400hp or so and simple layouts

Yea man do it!! You got the cars, the experience, THA SHOP, and a fan base. The Alexi Draft livery is iconic.
Love this style of video. All ways love when you do machine checks, so refreshing to see normal cars compared to over built style cars.
I love the anticipation and excitement in your voice. Notifications on, this will be awesome!!! ❤
that green 180 is so incredibly cool
i never really picked up the finer points of drifting competitions so it's great to hear your commentary and thoughts on this
Another cool video. Thanks for making this cool content. Cheers from NYC mate!🏍🤘👍
Love this kind of informative videos !
Exciting times! Cant wait to see you compete!
Those events look like so much fun to watch. hope i can get to one of those sometime.
Great vid, I do love me some lower spec (ish) drift cars, really fun to see you point out some things in their driving.
You honestly have the best intro on TH-cam
9:18 (happens at 9:22) that was really impressive and blew me away.
This sounds exciting. When are we seeing maintenance on the S15?
Good luck broski! You got this. And like you said, if not, still get that xp in the process.
Can't wait for the comp!
I would be soooo hyped to see Noriyaro doing competition!!!
Those JZX's were shredding absolutely love it!

omg the footage of the pre-charred jzx100 ripping mobara
Go get it! Heartwarming to watch!
That would be so awesome seeing you build a comp car! So hyped
Go for it! Also love this type of vids!!
Very good video, would watch you go to every event of this series
Oh yeah noriyaro competing in D1 Divisional and more would be so cool !!!!
I want to see you competing !! So cool man. Best of luck and learn! I know you can do it.
thank you many times for the lots of videos lately

Please document as much of the process for competing. I will watch it all.
I loved the interview in the begening on the video.
We need more japanese on your videos brother!
Go for it !!! Dont hold back

What’s going on with the ol’ cresta? 😊
lol @ the outro clip of Alexi blowing the rubber particles off his clothes.
RIP your lungs.
Hell yeah Noriyaro!
lets goooo noriyaro just enter!!!
These types of videos are the best types of videos
Giving off MSC energy. Be wicked to see you competing in this.
I love that drifting has never taken its self too seriously.
that blue 180sx drift was soo clean!
Do it! Just gotta take that first step.
HELL YEAH! LETS GO!
you can do it!!
It seems like the jzx cresta would be the perfect car for this 🤔
Another motivational bunch of clips that are leaning me towards getting a jzx lol. Also Alexi, can you vouch for powervehicles? Importing a drift ready car to the US seems like a dumb idea but who ever said I make good decisions :^) I want a jzx so bad lol

Ring up Naoki!! Good luck with the car and the driving 🙏🙏
Don't let your dreams be dreams Alexi!!!
you should do a series of more in depth review of the cars their running in japan. give a rundown of them so those of us in other countries can see whats being done differently!
Alexi, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all want you to see enter any competition.
17:20 Please do it! I would love to see you driving around this corner
if you weld one half of a silvia to the other half of a jzx then you'll have a monster for both circuits. That's how it works right?
Also a silver chrome wrap like the back of the one at 13:43 would look sick on the beercan skyline
Let's go ...... Compitition !!!!!!!
hopefully cresta will come in action
Do it ! Believe!
congratulations
JUST GO FOR IT MAN, JUST DO !
Love it, also to see and hear all these SR's. 👍
For the people who talking trash about SR's that they are not reliable and for drifting.
You already know I jumped on the Chiba Damashi video 😎
11:40 the yellow car hitting the wall made me laugh a bit because it showed "Wasak" for me as a Filipino because it means broken/damage in my language.
Come on Alexi we wanna see you in D1!
Love hearing about each driver's setup. Any chance for Meihan content? I'm aware it's a 5-hour drive from Tokyo but I am hoping to see that happen some day!
enter Alexi! divisional is super fun x
If you want to compete, you should consider doing a collab with Mike Kojima from MotoIQ (or at least check out his videos on suspension geometry).
Time to get the cresta done
that old pic of you seated in front of your jzx goes so hard
ENTER IT! 💪
Hope Alexi pulls out the cresta for this one 👀 👀
Awesome video!
17:10 was so badass
I enjoy this more than D1GP ^^
