    Dervish was not bad!
Then, Kosem definitely deserved to be executed for poisoning Sultan Murad! Not to forget Osman's dethronation!

Kösem never poisoned Murad. I have no idea why people keep trying to push this concept, there's no grounds for it.

@@Redluna32 I guess people think that because of the series.
      This series is 95%fiction.
MC is more historically accurate than MCK.
For example, Kosem and Murad get along well and she never poisoned him,Turhan isn't the reason for the execution of Kosem and Turhan was nothing like she was shown in the series,Handan and Ayse were also nothing like they were shown in the series,Kosem and Turhan didn't have any influence as hasekis, Ahmed,Osman and Murad weren't like in the series, Safiye wasn't plotting against Ahmed, and she was sent to Old Palace when he ascended the throne and lost all her influence and she didn't have son named Iskender or Yahya(a man like that existed but he wasn't Ottoman,he was imposter who claimed to be lost prince),and there is more which don't match with the real historical events.

@@drfhgs428 Honestly, the weirdest thing in regards to the two series is the failure to depict what specifically made the women at the heart of each uniquely powerful for their time. Hürrem was the one with, seemingly, the great love story rather than Kösem and who wielded power primarily through her role as the first Haseki, but all of that gets entirely undervalued. By comparison, Kösem was a weaker Haseki as the power of the role was diminishing by her time, but excelled as a Valide Sultan. And yet the show capitalizes on the supposed love story she had with Ahmed (which seems fairly non-existent in real life) and rushes right through her time as regent. And, of course, don't even get me started on Turhan Hatice or Ayşe's writing or why the heck Farya had to be a princess.
Of the two, MC at least had moments where, even if I didn't agree with them, the historical deviations could be fun to watch. With MCK, the plot is just too all over the place to make it work.

@@Redluna32 Exactly ,making Kosem and Turhan influential as haseki is soooo wrong.
And we can't compare Kosem and Turhan haseki time with those of Hurrem, Nurbanu and Safiye.
Kosem,Turhan,Dilashub,Muazzez were 15/16 when they become hasekis, they were inexperienced in politics and they had children to take care of too.
While Hurrem was in her 30's,Safiye in her mid 20's,Nurbanu on her 40's.
Kosem and Turhan power was when they were Valide Sultans and regents. And that's why they are the most powerful women in Ottoman Empire.
Yes, they totally disrespected historical Suleiman and Hurrem at all.
Suleiman was the only sultan in Ottoman Empire to be in monogamous relationship.
I think the writers simply didn't know history or they just hated Hurrem as historical figure.
I don't think that the love of Ahmed and Kosem was really non existent in real life. One historian even found that Ahmed I and Kosem were legally married.
And yes I know that Hurrem and Mahidevran were underrated and butchered as characters, but they had more importance compared to Handan and Halime who were first women to be co regents(and that is also important in Ottoman history).

@@drfhgs428 accounts vary but Safiye Sultan is said to be fully functioning living in the Old Palace, she had spies and people to do her work as well. The historians found out that she was getting a hefty pension living in the Old Palace which gives rise to more questions. The whole thing is still being researched.
