Yeah, it is kinda reminiscent of that isn't it? I wonder if Hearthstone provided part of the impetus for adding it? Like I say in the video, I think it's a kind of strange addition, but it looks OK I guess, so why not.

Yay a new video! Thank you for the update. :) The Khans prerelease was AMAZEBALLS, this set is so ridiculously fun. I hope you'll do a Khans Fat Pack opening too! *Edit: Also, I think it would be amazing if you opened all the booster packs, and maybe just went through them a little faster. Read the names of all the commons and uncommons but only read the entirety of the rares perhaps? The flipping through cards and sound of the booster packs being opened is just the best. My two cents! :D

In my experience, MTG fans who watch these videos always want me to open more packs to see what I pull, whereas people who are here just for the ASMR don't care about the cards themselves, just the sounds and whispers. Maybe what I'll try next time is doing one pack slowly and thoroughly, and then do another couple where I just shuffle past the commons and get right to the good stuff. We'll see!
Did I spy with my little eye a siege wurm? Do Core set's bring back really old mechanics often? I wouldn't have expected to see a reprint of the first ravnica block, nor one with an old mechanic. That being said I do love convoke.

TheOnlySnuskz I've played a bit of Hearthstone, and it's really good :) I floated the idea of a Hearthstone ASMR vid a couple of times and didn't get much of a response, but maybe I'll try again in future. You should check out Stone Whisperer though, he's got quite a few Hearthstone ASMR vids :)

Right, which is what leads to my question. I can't seem to hear the difference between ear-to-ear and regular whispering. Is it because I don't listen with headphones or...?
Ifeno Yes, headphones (or even earbuds) will significantly enhance the ear-to-ear effect. In fact, I highly recommend listening to all ASMR videos with headphones. That being said, this video probably isn't the best example of ear-to-ear sounds. There are many excellent videos out there if you search ear-to-ear ASMR. Try them with headphones, I think you'll like it!

I know there are headphones made especially for laying in bed (I think they're called Bedphones), but I've never used them so I can't say if they're any good or not. Seem to have decent reviews on Amazon though, maybe give them a look.
+Tristan Hester I think it's pretty subjective. Some people love whispering, while others prefer sounds only. For me, it depends on the mood. I have a few sounds-only videos (check out my mechanical keyboard vid, or my Star Wars lego vid, for instance), but I mostly do whispering or soft speaking.
