    Hello buddy, I enjoyed your video. I would like to ask what you think about highlighting skills learnt from university in the education section with examples, such as 'Collaborated in teams and presented in front of large audience and academic lectures which have improved confidence and communicational skills' which could highlight the importance of such skills to be relevant to perhaps a sales and or consulting position, which do require said skills? Most university careers department try to establish the importance of skills learnt from modules.
    Thanks

    • @independentconsultant
      @independentconsultant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Harmeet! What I usually do with students with not a lot of experience is extract actual projects they've done in University and put them in the Achievements section. This way it looks like real projects with real bullets and real skills to show off. It's a better section to do it than the education section where everything you put is kinda broad. You want to be as specific as possible!

    Hi Sir, what a great insight!! I have a question if you don't mind.
    When it comes to professional experience, the HR Team normally ask for Letter of Reference. What's your perspective if you have a Rejection Letter from the previous employer? Rejection Letter is kinda substitution for Letter of Reference and it'd be given to the one who resigned during busy season or resign below one month notice. Shall we just show the Rejection Letter to the future employer or just hide it? Do you think that HR will throw away our application?
    Because we worked for public accounting firm or consulting firm that has high employee turn over and not a few of us encounter that situation.
    Really appreciate for your insight and looking forward for your feedback, Sir.

    • @independentconsultant
      @independentconsultant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really depends where you're located. Here in North America, they might ask for references but usually you can give specific names of bosses or colleagues. If you were laid off or anything it's good to mention it during the interview process while giving a good reason behind it so it's not a surprise. I don't think you can hide it since most companies will do a background check. So better to be straightforward with it.
