I gotta say it, and I want to do it here... I don't think Dave Navarro was the issue during his time in the band, musically... his contributions are super strong and apparent on that album, as they are on every album he has ever been a part of... Dave has proved himself to be one of the most innovative and skilled guitar players of the last 100 years... there is a reason he is asked to be on everyones album, contributing to mega stars like Christina Aguilera & Alanis Morrisette... THAT is why the Peppers wanted him, because he is THE GUY... on top of being THE GUY, he happens to be one of the fore fathers of a band that made success for bands like RHCP possible... Dave & Jane's Addiction stand for something, an era of art and creativity that broke down barriers for EVERYONE, and they were at the TOP, in terms of talent and influence... None of these other bands or their music mean SHIT compared to Jane's Addiction, that's gotta be said... without Jane's SOUND, there is no pathway for something like RHCP... How?! You may ask..?!TWO WORDS: " NOTHING'S SHOCKING "... there was nothing like it before, and like all great musical or artistic movements, spawned a wave, a generation of new bands that could experiment with sound and styles in ways unheard of before.. Jane's Addiction did that, single handedly... as for RHCP, I think the weakness and problem was with Anthony... he was way fucked up and off his game, but because he's the leader, what can ya do.. ? It was convenient to dump it on Dave.... but there is something to be said about this, in particular.. 99% of GUITAR PLAYER I've ever spoken to about RHCP, have said that One Hot Minute is their favorite album because of Dave's playing... and that most people who aren't HEAVY into RHCP, prefer One Hot Minute MUSICALLY to anything else they have put out. So there's that..
Even though I listened to it on my podcast app, I still watched this. I really like that you put the effort to have more camera angles and take your time with adding the video footage.
