The Grandaddy of the modern sport bike. I was 19 when this bike came out and I learned how to tune mine. All my buddies had them, slabsides revolutionized sport bike riding. Super light, great handling and a real rocket ship. I loved both color schemes red/black and blue/white. Just an awesome machine.
Have this very bike and so many people stop me at the gas station and tell me their stories! So crazy to see them hitting $12-15k now. Even more awesome, I have the 87 and 90 750’s and an 88 and 90 1100. Thanks Suzuki for so many years of fun on and off the track. RIP Donald Jacks….Team Yoshimura 1990 and one hell of a rider. There’s no bike more beautiful to me than an 80’s Japanese sport bike. Gorgeous! And that sound!! I wish I was mechanically savvy enough to get one with confidence lol
sweet. you are making me miss my 2 1990 gsxr 750L that i had over the years. i always put vance & hines supersport exhausts on my bikes. my 2001 katana( love the old "oiler boilers") i rebuilt to my liking has a supersport with the competition baffle in it.
Wow! Wow! and Wow again! What I wouldn't give to get suited up and do a few laps on this bike at some place like Silverstone. There isn't anything that I don't like about this gorgeous machine. Not my favourite colour scheme for a motorcycle but by no means is it bad. The sound that this beauty makes is something that is not is not outdone by any other bikes in the same class. Todays super bikes are marvels of technology but these older machines have something special in terms of the entire package. Kudos to Kaplan America for hitting another one out of the old ballpark on presenting another dream machine. I live on the west coast of Canada and I swear that I have got to get over to see the collection of bikes that this special museum has for all to see. Thank you so much for being so much more than just another place selling motorcycles.

Nice Bike Guys....My Brother has this same exact bike...Only he upgraded his by putting the 1100 motor on this 750 frame .....He took the 1052 motor and Bored it to a 1250 w/ Valid Valicon Crank Carillo Rods...Arris Pistons....4- 36mm Carbs...Full Yoshimura Titanium Head Pipe....and A few other things....lmao - I rode the bike a few times.....Scared the pants right off of me....And I'm the one that taught my little brother how to ride....He learned on my 1976 Honda CB 550......Plz don't paint this bike guys....As it will be worth more left all original...Thanks
My first sportbike at 18 in 1998. I got it for 3000 bucks with 3000 miles on it. Proceeded to spank everyone on Ninja 600 and CBRs. Smoked poser Rosemead blvd cruiser lames. Smoked my expert rider friend going back down Azusa cyn. Almost killed me...almost. Never went down on on that bike.
Never ever repaint old bikes. Ever. Don't listen to those fuck sticks who say they are worth more restored. Don't let those idiots set standards. Set your own. That's part of the history of the bike. Never repaint old bikes.
TRD ROCK WARRIOR_SPORT Slab sides were 1986-87 and slingshots were 1988-90 something. It's just a carburetor difference as well as pretty obvious body differences. (Edit) actually, the 1100 was a slab side until '89 I believe, then slingshot. Above refers to the 750's
I lived across the road from Kim and I would always look at that bike but he never seemed to interested in selling it and one day I was in the shop and seen it missing and he said he was retiring and sold a lot of bikes what’s the chances of finding this video

The early sport bikes are so cool mainly to see the evolution of them to what we have now

When this bike first came out it was light weight and fast! Nothing could touch it.
Had the blue & white combo. Way better looking than the modern bikes.

Beautiful bike... Have one just like it, same color combo. 86' wasn't the first year though ... Came out in 85...with a little bit shorter swing arm.

I always liked that model, ended up owning a new 1998 GSXR 750W and got to ride it on the track at Willow springs, fun bike!

I had 2 86 750s red/black, and a blue/white 86 1100. Loved them!
The dual headlights were so cool. Those were the REAL GSX-Rs.
This and Hondas CBX750 are the two best looking bikes of the 80's
