Why not just replace the mirror assembly? Remove the old mirror assembly from the outside and reattach the new one?
Are the drivers side mirrors all the same with 3 nuts, cord for power??? I purchased one from Amazon for a 19 civic, the garage said it wouldn’t connect? One I bought had a connector but I let the garage install it. I got stuck with a used mirror for couple hundred bucks and it’s not even the car color??

I have a question and it’s fine if can’t be responded to right away, but this video doesn’t show the foam lining, and how to make it sit flush with the lining. Some say the foam lining is necessary for moisture and etc

Ho do you change the painted panel of the mirror?
Pull the mirror from the bottom up to release it from the clips. There are a couple screws behind it that sector the cover to mirror frame
