Question- would you damage the car if you tried just taking just the small cover off and not the entire panel? I noticed on videos for other car brands that you only have to remove the small cover to replace the mirror.
Glad to here that our video helped! It depends, if you nee to replace the glass or cap, you can just remove those. The glass can be gently pulled off. Hello! The housing for most mirrors is tough unless it's a cap. Most of the time manufactures will make the motor part of the housing. I believe that the hatchback might be a mirror cap but the Sedan/coupe is one whole housing. Please chat with our staff online for more answers. www.revemoto.com
Hello! I tried to check for you but I could not find a photo of the pins. It depends on the features of your mirror. If it has camera or more options, it may require more pins. As long as your features match what you are buying, it should be fine. You can also call us and we can find the correct mirror for you! www.revemoto.com
So quick question, would these steps work on the driver side mirror also? My girlfriend has a 2016 honda civic touring whose mirror was hit. Still attached, just by the wire. Thank you!
For those who have replaced a driver side mirror: can you please put a link to where you found a driver side mirror please for a Honda Civic sedan 4dr . Thank you in advance!
Sí, puede reemplazarlo, solo asegúrese de pedir la cámara correcta. A veces, después de reemplazar el espejo con la cámara, es posible que deba llevarlo a una tienda con una máquina de calibración para que lo recalibren y la cámara funcione.
Is there a way to only buy the black section of the mirror? Someone hit my mirror but only the black housing broke. Mirror is intact and the painted part as well
Hello and that is a great question. Unfortunately, that "black" part is the base of the mirror and that is not interchangeable. Follow the link be low and we might be able to get you just the base (no glass or cap). www.revemoto.com/pages/painted-parts-request
@@ReveMoto Is my situation identical to RAD Chili's? My passenger side mirror was vandalized: someone punched DOWN on it, cracking the black triangular plastic plate on the bottom, as well as the bottom of the mirror's black neck, right next to the window. Great video. Very clear instructions. Thanks

Just replaced mine a few minutes ago thanks to a happy go lucky turkey smh lol. Thanks for saving me $300 !!
My pleasure! Glad this video helped. If you need parts for your car in the future go to www.ReveMoto.com
You’re video is very helpful is it the same process with the speaker on the other side ? I have 2016 Honda Civic .
Hello and yes, it is the same process. Thank you for watching!
Is this video also applicable for driver side mirror?
Yes! This will definitely work on the driver-side mirror. Thanks for the question.
In case the new mirror breaks, that is compatible with Amazon replacement mirrors?
@@heliotpregunta8159 I honestly couldn’t tell you. I would just buy it at www.ReveMoto.com. Amazon has some crazy knockoffs that I am not sure compatibility
Thanks for your video. It is so clear and helpful. Just one quick question: Is it the same procedure for Honda civic 2018, 2 door? I found there is a handle near the switch for this Model but was not in the car you used. Thanks for your help in advance.
Thank you and hello! The process should be similar. We haven't worked on a 2-door before but the doors are bigger than the 4-door. So, there may be an extra screw holding the door panel on. Great job and thanks for the 2-door tip!
This might be a stupid question, but is the installation the same for a side view mirror with the camera?
It's the same. You just have to make sure you buy the correct side mirror, which would be the 11-pin, rather than the 3-pin.
Having a hard time doing this with a civic coupe. There’s a door handle on the coupe that’s not in this video and I need help
Removing it.
Hi
I want to swap out my manual side mirrors with power ones. I am going go get the mirrors from a donor car.
Can you please suggest if i need just the mirrors from the donor car or need to take out any wires as well to plug in my car.
Thx
I wouldn't recommend it cuz the whole dash harness needs to be changed. That is a huge undertaking.
Great video! Did you disconnect the car battery when performing the install?
I didn’t it was fine.
Thanks!
Is it possible to get the housing only? The electronics is working, only the plastic is cracked and mirror popped out (not damaged).
Hello! The housing for most mirrors is tough unless it's a cap. Most of the time manufactures will make the motor part of the housing. I believe that the hatchback might be a mirror cap but the Sedan/coupe is one whole housing. Please chat with our staff online for more answers. www.revemoto.com
Quick question are the plug where we connect the mirror are 7 pin plug or no? In trying to buy a aftermarket, but only fits 7 pin plug model.
Hello! I tried to check for you but I could not find a photo of the pins. It depends on the features of your mirror. If it has camera or more options, it may require more pins. As long as your features match what you are buying, it should be fine. You can also call us and we can find the correct mirror for you! www.revemoto.com
Got it! I need some help because I have the 2016 lx civic, but idk if it is 7 pin plug model
So quick question, would these steps work on the driver side mirror also? My girlfriend has a 2016 honda civic touring whose mirror was hit. Still attached, just by the wire. Thank you!
Yes. It will be the same process of taking off. Thank you for watching and if you need any parts for your civic go to www.ReveMoto.com
Hi, can you tell me if i can change a mirror without signal lights with one that has signal light and overtaking sensor? Does the plug fit?
Wow!! Thank you! I need to change mine and I think I'll be able to do this myself
We know you can do it. It's just a few bolts using simple tools. Please follow, it helps us tremendously!
Is it any harder to remove/install if you have a speaker on the inside part of the mirror??
No it’s basically the same just have an extra plug to remove
My car has a door handle how would that change the installation?
For those who have replaced a driver side mirror: can you please put a link to where you found a driver side mirror please for a Honda Civic sedan 4dr .
Thank you in advance!
Here you go Alberto, bit.ly/16-20CivicMirrorDriverSide
Is it the same process for the camera one?
Hi ANAYELLI yes it should be the same process. If you need this mirror go to www.ReveMoto.com
Is the process the same if I have tweeter speakers?
Yes it is the same. Thank you if you need this part for you car go to www.ReveMoto.com
@@ReveMoto thank you!!
Everything inside the housing works fine, but the mirror is sagging down about 15 degrees. So even though the mechanicals and electronics are undamaged, there is no way to salvage them? My only option is to replace the entire $800 mirror? Thanks! Great video!
@@KeisukeHoashi 👋 best thing to do is reach out to us at www.ReveMoto.com. Chat or call our team and send us photos of the damage. That is really the only sure way for me to see what you need
Very helpful !!! THANK YOU
Glad it was helpful!
Does the camera need to be recalibrated, Once the side mirror and camera are replaced?
From experience sometime you don’t sometime you do. I did a couple that I didn’t have to recalibrate but then the next two I did. Let me know if you have any other questions! If you need any parts for your car go to www.ReveMoto.com
if my mirror is just lose can it just be tightened, dealership said it wasn't serviceable.
Sorry to hear that. If the base is loose, you can check the bolts and see why it would be loose. If the glass piece is loose, you snap that off and snap a new one. I hope this helps, thank you for watching!
