You know, I just realized that the gods can take on different forms and shapes whenever they want… having a different person be a god every single season would be hilarious
In the books, they always had an eneasy relationship. Percy survived all his encounters with Zeus because he always came bearing gifts... and with friends. Thalia's familial love for Percy, Poseidon's paternal protection, Athena's wisdom and faith in her daughter's choice of friends... and partners. Percy never held back with Zeus... but he never aimed to strike him and he never cowered. He spoke the truth, Zeus *hated* that... but he respected it because it was never arrogance. It was a belief that the Gods could be better, should be better, *MUST* be better that ensured he survived the King of Olympus every time.

Well yeah, but when your relatives are gods, it's a bit different when it comes to titles. It’s unfortunate that we will never get a real Percy Jackson LA they always change stuff that doesn’t need to be changed, what pissed me off about this one is that annabeth didn’t really get much character, her being black is perfectly fine it’s just they didn’t direct her character well
My god the nerve of all of you who are complaining about Zeus being black. The late Lance Reddick portrayed him excellently from the book and y’all have the audacity to complain about Disney’s cast choice for Zeus.
Zeus should be Greek. I agree the actor did marvelously (I love most of his work) but Disney has a reputation now and its hard to look past their casting as anything but an agenda.
Also, that argument never happened in the book and there were other gods present in that scene in the book. Poseidon and the other gods weren’t scared of Zeus at all in the book. Percy doesn’t start trying to convince the gods to work together until later in the series. Disney is making the same mistake that the movies did a decade ago, which is rushing things too far ahead, thus resulting in them having to change the plot line to something that will not resemble the books.
@@chriskempton7751 I hate when they do that. Make changes to the original story to fit their own vision (Eragon and Avatar come to mind) or to fit into a smaller time frame ultimately ruining the whole thing as a result.

It said in the books that Mount Olympus moved depending on the strongest nation at that time, so originally it was in Greece since it was the origin of modern western culture, and now it's in the States. It also said that it adapted depending on where it moved. So Zeus being Black makes perfect sense to me.
