In all these places they lived in large majority until 1922. They still live as a large majority in Cyprus but they were kicked out of the northern part of the island in 1974 because of the brutal Turkish Invasion that took place. Rest in peace lance Reddick
Black Zeus what the hell lolllll
Well, you don't have to worry about it since the guy's gone. So be happy
@girl1213 I love Lance Reddick. He was just trying to make a buck here. That doesn’t change the fact Zeus is an Indo European sky deity and Newsflash to all out there who don’t know better, Indo Europeans were not black

I didn't know greek gods came from africa.
They don’t exist dw
@@gingernuts3114obviously.
Africa existed back then, and Greece was a country that needed the sea to have trade
More gods came from Africa and the eastern regions then anyone wants to believe
Yeah, of course Africa existed back then, it's a continent.
Hellas had trade with Africans, yes, specifically Egyptians and Libyans, that doesn't mean that Hellenians came to believe in african "gods".
girl1213 your statements are inaccurate and unverified. You spread misinformation.
@Gingernuts3114 Physically they don’t, but the Indo European mythological concepts do and newsflash, they weren’t black.
Rip Lance Reddick 😢
I'm not gonna throw a tantrum over it, but isn't it kinda ridiculous how Zeus (PJ), Ariel (TLM), Annabeth (PJ), and now Astrid (HTTYD) have all gotten the same race swap treatment? Like, what's so wrong about giving them their accurate races or appearances from their original stories?
Zeus was white in the early ones and with a beard and hair, more accurate, this one is super inaccurate, should have at least put Morgan Freeman because he at least had some hair.
Agreed. I wouldn't mind this much if it was Morgan Freeman. He is the GOAT.
I like Lance in Fringe series. He's talented actor. But this role is not for him. I mean for real! What were Disney thinking? Greeks are white.
If this was making black characters white, that would be racist and unacceptable. It's ridiculous.
Greeks had more middle eastern and mixed heritage then anyone wants to admit because they are not locked into their land
Greeks (more correctly Hellenians) resided from the ancient times (1600 B.C.) in modern-day Greece (Hellas), in Eastern Thrace, in western and southern Anatolian coasts, Pontus, Cyprus, Sicily and also had colonies in Alexandria of Egypt and other places in the Middle East. In all these places they lived in large majority until 1922. They still live as a large majority in Cyprus but they were kicked out of the northern part of the island in 1974 because of the brutal Turkish Invasion that took place.
In all of these places, Hellenians were NEVER black. There are many Hellenians that have slightly darker skin but this is due to the sun exposure, not the ethinic origin.
Boy talk wayyyyyyy toooo much!!
Haters take note: Zeus. Is. A. God. Gods can look like whoever and whatever they like.
The only good thing about this serie is that made me re-watch and appreciate the movies
Hypocrisy and ignorance at its finest.
How do you feel about whitewashing Egyptian Gods in Gods of Egypt huh? You will be called racist if you say the exact same thing lik you just said.
Just imagine the other way around. Imagine Greeks and their gods were black and Disney whitewash them, will that be ok?
Also your racism is somewhat showing.
Zeus is a god from Greek cultures, white!
Will you be ok if they whitewashed black god?
Haters?
Yeah haters. We hate it because this is ridiculous, racist, hypocritical and just wrong.
Indo European gods are manifested by their people who were white. No they can’t, hate to burst your woke bubble.
Not interested because of how many woke checklist this series have
zeus ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Series was mid I couldn't stand to watch it lmao, I prefer the books.
I need white guy playing black panther. I mean we need diversity
Black Panther never was a shapeshifter with a true form that mortals couldn’t survive seeing.
When zeus become black
Zeus can be anything he wants, including a black guy or a woman if it meant he can get tail
@Girl1213 It’s not a concept of Zeus and even if it was they’d laugh him out of Ancient Greece the only tail he’d get is his right hand that night. Zeus got rejected once when he portrayed himself as a woman to the priestess Lo
These are Greek Gods and should be respected and cast correctly. This was a disrespect their the Greek culture. I'm glad this movie failed so badly.
These were bad casting choices for the Gods
Go woke go broke
Zeus is not black wtf
black zeus? wtf
