Thermy, thank you for doing this Zerg series. As a zerg player myself I have been looking all over the internet for similar SC2 content like your Terran challenges from a zerg's perspective. This is truly amazing that I get to see my favorite SC2 "TH-camman" play as zerg!

So sorry to hear your are in the hospital Marc, sending you all the light and love so you can recover quickly. Don’t worry about us just focus on your health first!
At some point, especially while your in low elo, you should early scout and mineral walk 2 drones into his base, stacking them first, and when you hit the Fog of war in between the his ramp and CC, pull 1 drone off and hide it. scout with the other and return it home. then proxy hatch in his base. lol I know i am going to love this series!

used to do something like this back in the day but i just used 1 drone and did a spine rush and made a queen and creeped up his base
I love how jovial you always are. I had to switch to only watching sc2 because playing made me angry. I’m amazed by how easy you make your strats look.

BANELING TO GM!!! Now that would be an epic and hilarious series... however, no rushed baneling bust, your baneling attacks would be with 100+ banelings and see if you can win with the fewest waves of 100+ banelings :D

Great insight with how you need to solve your weaknesses somehow. At some point it might be worth it to focus on keeping your overlords alive, but for now it's more effective for you to build extras and focus on other things. With this practical sort of growth mindset, it's no surprise uThermal is such a strong player!!

The type of build which I imagined right away when I saw "proxy hatch" - building proxy on 3rd-4th opponent base, spread creep and attack with army + queens from the proxy using creep. Would love to see such one!
Hi uThermal - I just subscribed after seeing this. First saw you featured on PIG’s channel awhile back for the 1v7 insane AI stuff and just stumbled on this video. Love your content. And also, I love proxy hatch! It’s what I used to do as Zerg. It’s the best cheese, like bleu cheese crumbles or Parmesan.
The possibilities are endless with this one.

The color white is nice to see when you *select* buildings they *highlight* a light blue on minimap. It's a *cool* feature to follow along.
I'm excited to see you play another race. I think it's fun to switch it up. I'm hoping we'll see you learn another race as well as you know Terran.

GG Marc, on stargazers, you can proxy hatch at the back door to the natural, and mine out the minerals to get in - that's always worth a laugh
Go for purple! It suits the building pre-select animation and complents with the green of the healthbar and toggle animation. Keep up the good work! :D

a hard reminder that starcraft is over 25 years old now.
On Stargazers map you should do a Proxy between the bridge and the ramp with the minerals. Collect the minerals and flood the enemy base with Zergs from behind.
I know it's mean but fun for us.
My only experience with starcraft was playing bounds, tank tower defence and stuff like that when I was like 8, those were the times man.
Zerg SC BroodWar: You've off raced as Terran, and where does that lead you...... Back to me.
I got a neat ZvZ proxy hatch build starting with 12 pool, proxy hatch (roach warrent in proxy hatch, build a few drones and a queen, banenest at home) into defensive stance in main (if they counter lingflood need 2-3 banes, 1 spine, queen and semi-wall around the mineralline), then as soon as you hold the first counter, go in with 6-8 roaches + 2 banes + queen + 4 drones to make spines from proxy hatch. Usually that kills, and if not it sets up for fun games 🙂

I've been pretty excited for an off race run. Starting off strong. Your roach drop was funny. Most zergs don't drop frequently. He wasn't expecting it at all.

Scarlett made some interesting proxy hatch builds. One was like 18 or 19 third hatch at opponents 2nd natural, then early roach warren (~2:55) and ling speed, roaches at third hatch and lings at home then meet at enemy nat, morph ravagers, gg. This was around 2-3 years ago. Another she hide a hatch in their main and went roaches. She also blocket natural expansions at times. Raynor did some proxy hatchery builds too.

Would really like to see you go take a look at the broodwar ladder even if not for a full series. Even if its just a single episode I think it would be super interesting to see how much differently a sc2 player looks at broodwar and how they would play it compared to the people who still primarily play broodwar. Love your content and always happy to see a new uthermal vid!
Love the new series! Zerg players usually hotkey their eggs as they build units from the larvae, it's a lot easier than using f2+ctrl click to control group.

Love your videos, this episode perhaps has been the most enjoyable to watch. Also I had no idea you had to upgrade overlords to drop, so please keep telling us non players how things work now. I stopped playing around 5 years ago as at 50 my micro sucks. So hard to click where I want to consistently.

I definitely want to see immediate proxy hatches on golds/high yield gas bases. MAX greed and clouds upon clouds of mutas.
Bly has very cool "Hatch into Protoss wall" build. It goes like this
12 pool
3 drones into overlord
1st drone from egg goes into protoss wall
You could afford 8 lings + queen with it and pretty much having 12 pool with with your hatch in the wall. Depending on protoss reponse, you will ended up either having hatch into their natural (hence lings, queen, spines) or you will have to cancel it and have a huge hole in the wall for your lings
that evolution chamber after hatchery trick was so funny lol
In regards to colors, we need more differentiation between things in the minimap. So no white that looks like minerals and no purple that looks like creep. I think that the contrary to the color purple is a tint between yellow and orange. That one might be better.

I saw this in a game once: The Zerg player neuraled a Protoss probe and made it create a nexus and from there they could make Protoss units once the nexus was completed.
Really cool entertaining and fascinating strategy and gameplay.
That 3rd map (final game) you played on, you can proxy hatch at the back door minerals & quickly mine them out to open an attack path there =)

I just tried your first game of proxy hatch + Mutalisks. Worked like a charm!
On the map Stargazers you can proxy hatch near the watchtower and mine the minerals that open up the second path into your opponent's base very quickly and surprise them. It's especially strong against Protoss.
