Himalayan Shepherds source of wool for shawls and scarves

The video shows a group of shepherds moving from higher Himalayas to lower Himalayas to avoid winter. Presently, they have a camp near Masrana near Mussoorie, where Himalayan Weavers is.
They are from Jakhol village near Har ki Dun. I met then a few years ago, when I traveled to their village after setting up Himalayan Weavers. Every winter the young men in the video move from their village to Mussoorie area to provide pasture for their flock. They return to their village when it start getting warm.
It is from shepherds like these that Himalayan Weavers (himalayanweavers.org/) get some of their wool to make shawls and scarves.

Many people are commenting that what a beautiful life that they want to live like this. No doubt it's easy and enjoyable for them because they know their work. But if if we try this I am sure 99% of us will come back crying. On of my friends went for seven days and it was raining there for four days continuously so they have bring back their goats to the lower areas some newborn died they have carry them on their back. He was literally crying. And he was not some weak guy he played sgfi in kabbadi and today ha joined indian army.
So in short life is hard but because they are pahadi and always live in pahads so they know how to enjoy and face challenges.

Από πολύ μικρή ηλικία έζησα την τσοπάνικη ζωή και για πολλά χρόνια, σε παρόμοιες συνθήκες. Την νοσταλγώ. Ήταν δύσκολη αλλά τα ζώα δίνουν δύναμη στον βοσκό να ξεπερνά τα οποιαδήποτε προβλήματα φέρνει το βουνό. Είναι σαν κρέπες αλλά ψημένες σε λαμαρίνα πάνω στα κάρβουνα. Εμείς ψήναμε κρέας κατ' ευθείαν πάνω στα κάρβουνα σε άμεση επαφή. Ένα λαγό που έπιασαν τα σκυλιά τον μαγειρέψαμε με φασόλια. Δεν είχαμε κάτι άλλο. Θυμάμαι ήταν το πιο νόστιμο φαγητό της ζωής μου.
