spin the axle fast while the glue is wet, this will give you much better structure when the axle is finished. It's similar to a Static Balance for a car wheel and tyre as opposed to the modern dynamic balance. Both work, but one works slightly better.
I've been truing my tyres at home and I noticed you didn't take the rims all the way square. You left a small ridge on the rim. Is this to keep enough purchase for when the tyre goes on. As their is a groove in the tyre?
I see you are using two sanding blocks, did two come with the truer originally or did you buy the second one to true the rims? What grit paper are you using?
@@nicparker3809 Wrong Nic. Slotcars are very much an adult hobby and some people take it extremely serious to win many races and stay on the podium. Yes there are sets designed for the kids, when you step up to routed wooden competition tracks it is a highly professional hobby.

What is the RPM you run the motor at? Is this 12V or 24V do you control the RPM via the voltage?
What was your reason for flattening the rims?
