Variable voltage is good. You don't want a fixed volt power supply. I think you also want at least 5 amps of power. I use an old O-scale (like for Lionel) train transformer. I don't know what the amps are, but it's plenty. The smaller train transformer I first tried (like for HO trains) was unable to do it.
A few notes, first off it is not a good idea to sand the front tires on slot cars, you want those tires to drift through turns. clear nail polish works well super glue is a good idea but I will stick to what has worked since I started the hobby. Secondly What is the difference between this machine and placing sand paper on the track and using the car as the motor to sand everything down? Is this product realy worth what it sells for? I have a hard time believing it is.
you want to true your front tires as well as rear, if you wish to slick them up with glue or nail polish that helps, before silicone tires a skid pad worked fine but if you true them on your car you would burn up your car motor, the 150 machines I have out there are doing a great job of making a car smoother and quicker, send me an axle with tires and I will true them up and send them back. thanks for watching
how much is your product? tell you what I'll send you the tires and if what you say is true I will but your sander if the price is reasonable. Where do i mail the tires too?
+THOMAS FISKE Silicones take more time and a lighter pressure but can be trued, guys have had best luck with Sanding screen for dry wall joints and a cheap Bik Razor to profile the edges
Hi Jon, I'm very much interested of buying one unit of tire razor machine. Please let me know how to deal with it. Thank you very much. Some of my friends visited your store and they bought unit of tire razor. I'm Bobby (Manila, Philippines)
Hey Jon, I'm a smart ass too. Can I send you all of my tyres from Australia for trueing and if I still want to pay $145 for something to true already trued tyres then I can send you some money? ;-)
LOL I did say an axle, and if you wish to pay shipping both ways I will true your wheels and tires, but most slot heads enjoy tuning their own cars, send me an e-mail if you need that address, and g-day mate,LOL always wanted to say that

after you have trued them, do you just clean them with tape? Or keep re-trueing them?

How well does this machine work on silicone tires. That's all we use at our track.

I just clean with tape, if it has sat awile I will scuff up on a track with sand paper, Jon
You could also wet sand with different grits of sand paper
I use your Tire Razor. Its working good for my Carrera 1:24 and 1:32 cars.
why not show truing a car that has drive gear in the middle of the axil????
I do believe that I have a few different axles being used in other videos, but I promise center or side it works the same
