worth noting how important it is to learn how to do this exact shot but with overstable approach discs. Calvin is a player to watch do this when he throws his Toro. after I realized how much of a crutch the berg was I started learning how to flex Zones in towards the basket and now spam that shot on low tunnel shots too🤝
I've been incorporating the anhyzer flex shots into my game more and more over the past couple months. The main place I do it is shorter upshots so the disc will land flat. I love the Eagle-X and Eagle-L combo for this shot. The X will reliably fight out while the L will keep turning but has the stability to not burn out. I also love the Halo Star Boss for the big distance flex shots.
Same boat tbh. Spent time trying to copy someone's putt and ended up in a severe slump. Forgot it all and let it come back naturally. My putt now is "weird" or unique but now I'm confident. 🤝 Need that to apply to my backhand.
I've been trying to incorporate this kinda stuff into my game and been learning what discs are good for the shot style. My bags been slowly turning into a ton of flippy discs because I'm always throwing with some level of hyzer, but it's been super windy as of late (Not common for upstate NY) so I've been having to put more stable stuff in the bag. Gotta get that field work in for sure.
Don't get me wrong I love throwing a flat shot that works. Perfect wind and somewhat downhill is even better. In my opinion the hyzer-flip is just such a cool shot. Living in Tennessee, being able throw understable for really straight late fades...electric! So yes I would love to see the Hyzer-flip tutorial Brod!
This is a great to way to highlight having a variety of shot selections in your arsenal. That pushing backhand flex shot is so deadly if you can become comfortable with it. I use my Royal Rage 1 for that shot and it’s money. I just haven’t found a disc that does it quite like the RR1 for me. Good thing I have a few backups because they’re hard af to find 😅
The thunderbird is the disc that helped me learned to do an anny flex shot. I still don’t use that shot nearly as much as a hyzer flip or dead straight shot but when I have to it’s nice I can trust the thunderbird.
"Please don't ever coach again. That was brutal." 5 minutes later... "Hey guys, turns out all of that stuff that we said was 100% absolutely the ONLY way to do anything is actually not the ONLY way to do things so, maybe we're all learning together uwu"
starting your disc on a hyzer is absolutely terrible for your game. I know that everyone wants to do some hyzer flips but the good people dont give a fuck what the disc does as long as it parks the basket. Throwing it flat = consitancy. more hyzer = less consistancy because of the more angle you have to match everytime and also if theres wind it makes the hyzer flip discs fly like trash Unless you compensate by adding even more hyzer but how much hyzer exactly? yeahh we dont know we just guess. throw it flat and get good

This was refreshing to see, learning new angles sometimes unlocks some cheat codes for yourself!
Facts. This is the knowledge that comes with pure dedication.

What blows my mind is the fd1 is not very overstable I throw 2 in c line plastic lol, I always thought you had a big arm but I was wrong!
Would love to see the hyzr flip shot tutorial
Make the hyzerflip video, if it anything like your forehand videos it’s going to help many people. 🤝
I recently switched to a wave for this shot, it's pretty comparable to a new penned champ eagle
Brod: Which run of Scorpius is those blue ones you bomb? IK you've said it before, but I don't remember😕
Please show the hyzer flip. This was a great video
