You can actually use the pump for preinfusion. After starting the pump for a few seconds, move the lever back to the middle position, so that the pressure is being hold. Then re-enable the pump to pull your shot.

Hey there! It actually came as a part of the “upgrade package” that I bought with my Appartamento. But I’ll drop a link to something similar below😎 amzn.to/4fsGkPE
My man what a great video! I've had a lever espresso machine for about a year and half and dont get me wrong I love it to death. But, been having an itch to get an espresso machine that is all in one, grouphead - steam wand - hot water. And I did research as well and came across the rocket espresso machine and man I watched your entire video. Great stuff my man keep it up, I definitely subbed to the channel
Excellent video. I'm fairly certain this will be my next purchase for home espresso. However, as someone who drinks a lot of Americanos, I would love to see someone demo the hot water wand on this machine. I probably drink 5 Americanos to every 1 latte, cappuccino, or macchiato I make. Great stuff tho.
Well, its a great machine! But the no-burn steam wand actually has Teflon tubing inside it through which water or steam comes out. So technically not "plastic-free" since there is plastic and in an important path.
I have no experience it’s the Profitec so I can’t really say.. Bur the Appartamento has given me no reason to replace it. Still a really really solid machine✨

Great video! A quick question that hope you can help: does your steam arm feel totally cool after couple shots; or it is still kind of warm-hot but not super hot that could burn?
My biggest issue is that when the water runs out mid shot that's your morning ruined. I wish there was a better way to check the water level or at least let you finish the shot. I just replaced the steam valve on mine (3.5 years) - I had hot water shooting out the tap when it was in the open position.
I’m so proud of you. I know how much this machine means to you to further your career and coffee expertise. I love our little nightly routine. You make the best lattes and give the best dishwashing hugs. You’re going to go far kid 😉
So james hoffman said he would pick the profitec pro 500 or the beeville dual boiler over this machine. But i notice every other youtuber has an apartamento. What do u think. Is profitec 500 and breville better than the apartamento?
Honestly - I would have to get my hands on a profitec 500 to give an educated opinion. I can however speak to the Breville - and yes, it’s significantly better than the Breville. The build quality, noise level, all-around user experience.. It’s all better. I’m still using the Appartamento daily, and I’m still impressed by it - even after a year of owning it now💪🏻
I have owned the Profitec 500 for about seven years. Used it heavily. It just went bad on me . I think the heating element finally went out but what's nice is parts are available to fix the pump or anything else that might go wrong with it. It's not a throw away machine. It is built well and is heavy and makes great coffee. I have seen the Rocket and from the outside my Profitec seems more substantial. The insides might be very similar. The Apartmento is a tad smaller and mean't to fit easily in your kitchen . I don't think you can go wrong either way. I just hope they are still made in Italy and Germany and not now in China like everything else is. Mine was engineered in Germany and assembled in Italy. Maybe it won't matter but China tends to cheapen things down.
Really depends on how small. The water tank isn’t huge (probably 6-10 12oz. lattes before refill) and I don’t believe you can plumb a water line to it. That would be my biggest concern. Apart from that, I think it would do fine!
Can’t recommend it enough!! It’s still my daily driver - I use it 2-5 times a day, making drinks for myself & friends. Love this machine - & if it ever dies, I’ll buy another one just like it⚡️
