This is beauitfiul and so inspirational for me. I have been planning a Lake Tanganyika aquarium as well, and this is very much how I envisioned it to look. The grey tones are so great and really contrast the fish beautifully. I hope I can make mine half as nice as this. Can't wait to see your updates. Take care.
Thank you Phil, feels good to know that it inspired you! It is a really easy scape and i think you will be able to scape it! I also like the grey tones, everybody says it looks like the moon. I wish you the best with the scape. Feel free to inform me when you realized it! Cheers Ben
I always admire the way You edit Your clips. They are like: perfectly shaped sculpture by an artist! There is nothing to ad :) Ofcourse the tank is also amazing!
LG Ben
Usualy i am into green and lush plants in a fully planted tank. Thats why i am not into saltwater tanks. But that dark and grey setup with nice colorfull fish is awesome and thanks to you something i might considere in the future 👍
Nice job putting this together. Very interested in where you learned to do the photography and the production work. As good if not better than the tank.
Hey Bud, out of all the recent lake tanks setup on TH-cam, this is by far the best. Bravo to you, my friend. Great job!! I can tell you, when I started a Neolampralogus Brichardii tank at my house, I hated those little fuckers. They bred and killed everything else in the 120cm tank. Careful for the Fairy Cichlid haha
Nice tank setup, love the fish. I was wondering what daylight setting you use on your Fluval light ( I have the same light)? Like what % on R.G.B.W? Thank You
Hello, the rocks and the substrate are inert? I’ve always used aragonite and or crushed coral to maintain a high ph value. I was just curiouse, beautiful tank🙂👍🏻
My dream tank!! All it needs is some multi shell dwellers!!! Unfortunately, i live in an apartment, so all i get to have is a 33 gal long with multis lol. One day, I'll have that tank 😅
@@PlantedTank I’m off tomorrow to get some little Tanganyikans. Just found your channel. I was about to ask how this tank is going, but just found what happened. Looks great. All the best!!
Hi, congratulations! Your aquarium is beautiful!!😃 I would like to ask you if the supplied Pratiko 300 filter was suitable for a 270 gross liter tank considering the absence of plants necessary for the Malawi or Tanganyika biotopes. Thanks a lot!!!😊😊
Hi - I just got one of the "marlieri" and I love it. I only have one african chilid and one pleco in a 55 gallon. I would like to add more, but I don't know what would be compatible. Can you help me out? Thanks.
Very nice tank! I‘m actually about to create a tanganyika tank as well, but I’m still looking for bigger basalt rocks like yours. Where did u got those from? I only got the smaller ones in the local home improvement store…
Hey Frank, that's funny, because that's what my next video will be about! How i get lots of heavy hardscape for cheap! For example - i paid for the whole hardscape (stones) 18€. Not really much i think so!
Lg Ben
No and yes. I didn't add something in the first weeks. The plants had no problem with it, but they did not grow. So i add on each side two nutrition capsules in the buttom. And it works fine.
@@PlantedTank the same to me, i didn’t add anything, but after few days i added some tropica nutrition capsules. Val is a root feeding plant, it can grow under lowlight but needs nutrition

Thank you mate!
Gorgeous! Lake Tanganyika is the closest thing we have to reef fish in freshwater; you did them justice with this beautiful setup. Kudos!
Thank you!
This is one of the best looking african tank I have seen. Stunning design.
Thank you ZeeZee 🙌🏽
Hey Ben, thank you for the detailed review. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a tanganyikan fish tank.
Nice to hear that!
What a amazing aquascape .... videography is awesome to

Wow, lovely scapped….
Hello, do you have original lighting in your aquarium or do you use a different one?
It is the original one. And i only use one of them. But there are two of it
beautyful tank having such beautyful fish who need marine tank i always love cichlid fish tank i had for 5 years.
Nice tank
Epic 😍😍

Why would you use igneous rock when cichlids actually want super hard water?
Because now i have stable water parameters which i can easily harden with cichlid salt powder to the GH and KH i want
beautiful tank ❤
Great tank! How do you maintain a high PH?
I am going to make an update video soon. The tank made a great transformation.
Best tank
Would like more visual info on the filtration/pump setup.
There is another video about this theme.
What light did you use for night please?
It is the Fluval Plant 3.0
Danke
Hey Aschas... meinst du Hardscape?
@@PlantedTank ja genua, kann so grosse niergendwo finden.
Interessting would be how much did you overall(excluding fishes) spend for this insame pieces of Art
Hey Sam, the tank is sponsored, but without the inhabitants/lifestock i think it is ~ 1.300€

I can sum my comment up in 2 words....Classy Aquarium....
Hi Ben why plant 🪴 ...there aren't any in malawi
It is a tanganjika 😉 But i gave the plant a try. The rescape will be with only stones.
Rly like this tank
nice...
Hey I love it
is that a real stone?
Yes it is. 52kg basalt stone
👍 I like it !👍Gefällt mir gut!
😊👍
Did you snack on some celery in the intro? 😂 also how many of each species did you stock?
In the Intro that could be some "cricket chirp" 😅. The Stock rate is 1:3 for the yellow and gray ones, only the marlieri is a couple.
le substrat est magnifique
Hey Ben!
V. Nice
Like to see it 6 months on 👍
Update Video is coming soon
🔥🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Da bekommt „grau in grau“ eine ganz andere Bedeutung … 👍🏼
50 Shades of Gray! 😀
Auch das gerne genommen 😉
Check out my new 1000L 300G African Cichlids tank and let me know what you think peeps! I got a lot of inspiration from this specific tank setup!
klasse
Klein, aber sehr fein 👍

Das ist Basalt ✌🏽
@@PlantedTank nein, die großen Steine meine ich...
Deep ☕

Nice, ut the rocks look too symmetrical to me.
After two month to me too. I will rescape it in the new house.
Except for Lelupi other boys are barely visible from distance.
