I’ve had these irons with kbs c-taper shafts for approximately 2 months coming from titleist 990 dci’s(circa 1999). I’m really loving them, they are very long and super forgiving compared to my old irons. The added distance and forgiveness have given me shots that I simply didn’t have before.
I bought these to replace my JPX850s. I love them. I decided to go for the tours in my shorter irons (pw-7).
Very happy with the set.
AMAZING! Not one shot in anyone's garden for the entire video! That's got to be a first. Forged irons just feel great, and Mizuno irons generally feel great, so I can only imagine that these feel incredible. They certainly seem to be straight.

I am a Mizuno guy. Been playing them for years. These new 921's are tempting me. I am playing the 850's now. Great irons.
Thinking a combo set of HM Pro 5-7 or 8 and Forged 8-9 through GW. Just adjust the lofts slightly so they work together.
Just got fitted JPX forged, went through a number of forged club heads and shafts, the JPX held a tight pattern, most of the stats were were all in the same range, but the JPX forged pattern of landing was very tight ....ordered with 60gr shaft -1deg lie, .25short, mid high flex, golf pride mid size grip....perfect, single digit hdcp
As always, great vid Al. Lots of comments about getting them and bending them weaker. I don’t understand why. Just hit the club number that goes the distance. If they’re carrying longer, but, as you said, descending more steeply, then they won’t roll out as much anyways.
Like the video. A set I’d buy without thinking would be the 921 Forged with traditional lofts.

I just had the same issue with the plastic.🤬 I've hit the 7 and PW so far. Loved them. Medal on Saturday to give them all a hit. Can't wait.

I’ve been using the 2016 JPX EZ Forged irons since 2017 and I think it’s time for a new set and considering these. Im a 12 handicap and want to stick with Mizuno, have any other good suggestions?

Are these a huge jump from the hot metals? I got fitted for the hot metals but would much rather have these if its not that much different
Great Video.
I got the jpx921 and they are amazing. Compared the the g710 much much better feel and sound. Compared to the t300 very similar I would say the Hot Metals are a little more forgiving and longer for me and similar feel and sound.

I love my 921 forged. Love em. They feel soft as hell on flushed shots, similar to my old mp-59s. Speaking of, the 921 forged clubheads are even smaller than my old mp-59s, believe it or not. Sole to top line is 3mm larger on the 59s, top line is 2mm thicker as well. The sole on the 59 is far smaller though. Despite the small size of the 921 forged head, I still feel confident over the ball with em. They’re a fabulous iron.
What I really love about the 921 Forged is how tight my dispersion is. I never, ever, miss far right or far left. All my shots with these irons are very consistent distance-wise as well. Great irons.

How do they compare to the JPX 900 forged?
July 2021....Yes, I wanted these irons 4 thru PW but the price tag of $1299+ tax shunned me away.
I went to Cobra Golf direct and customized my own set with the Radspeed 4..5..9..PW combined with Speedzone 6..7 and 8 iron. All for under $800 and I am 100% satisfied 😁
These are on sale for ~$850 now and still are better looking than the new ones

I JUST made the move from the mp20s mmc to the jpx921. No comparison, the JPX is superior. Went from MP20 MMC's to JPX 921 Tour.
Al, you didn't say anything about the wrapper tech. They must have infused it with chrome molly and strengthened the moi significantly over previous wrapper models. I reckon you could have left the wrapper on and it would still be there after those shots 😁

Great video Alex. Could you answer short question? In your opinion does the harder chromoly metal in the 921 feel less ‘soft’ than the 919 forged? Cheers.

I'm in for a fitting tommorow with the 921 tour and forged, watch both your videos and paused on your 7 iron stats. It's freaky how consistent you were it gave a good insight for launch, peak height and spin which is mainly important for me as a high launch/spinner. Which would you personally put in the bag, Tour, Forged or the P770's?

These are on my very short list for 2021...my 850 Forged are getting long in the tooth. P770, 921 Forged, or...? Being a Mizuno loyalist, the 921 at at the top of said list.

@@jackvliet Nothing, yet. It's been too cold here. Unfortunately, Srixon had to enter the mix, so my decision is going to be further complicated. I think the P770 is out of the mix, now, and it'll come down to either the 921 Forged or a ZX 7/5 combo set.

They are kinda rare in my part of the world too, but I did see a JDM version on retail at a golf department store two weeks ago. Maybe check out Golftec?
Yeah every set that I’ve found are all regular shafts. Only thing I found was £599 for a set of tours in stiff at a golf centre but not sure I’m tour standard 😂

921's! The HMBs dont feel as good bud!
The Mizuno 921 Forged irons have a more forgiving strike when I tested with Mizuno 10 out of 10 shots flushed ✅ the HMB’s felt softer because of the copper underneath but mis hits are punished > 5 out of 10 flushed > it’s was a close decision but I went with a more forgiving and easier 921 forged rather than the larger hollow blade 🤗 a independent golf shop owner told me the forged was for a better player 🤗 the HMB’s look sleek and sexy but the performance of the 921 Forged was much better ✅ plus I think 💭 the hold value would be higher with the 921 forged because it will suit 80% of golfers rather than maybe 10% of golfers with the HMB’s 🤗
Went in to buy HMB and came out with 921 Forged. Obviously the 921 are stronger lofted but I got no gains from HMBs over my 0311 irons. Too much spin for me really. I needed to reduce spin some. I have a 50° decent angle so no issue holding greens. 921 was more forgiving and both were pretty close in feel. I bought 921.
