Best E6 review so far! This scope, in terms of sensors, is VERY close to the VORTEX M157 sight system for the US Army's new M7 6.8x51 battle rifle. Amazing what these miniaturize sensors and onboard ballistic engines can do these days.
**One feature BURRIS should add is to permit wind speed from, say, a KESTREL weather station to Bluetooth the data to the scope THEN have the red hold dot on the proper wind hold laterally from the holdover point.a
Great review. Thank you.
Very helpful video, thanks
The new products are really excellent! Well done keep it up 👏👏
Outstanding!!!!
hi , thanks for video , anyway you can show in video the clarity of looking through scope ?
I bought DS Gen II and Steiner IFS from sportsoptics. Great company.
I definitely want to buy one of these. Two questions, weight in ounces please and secondly how does the wind speed hold over work? Do you take a wind reading with a hand held wind speed unit and input that reading to the scope? Thanks and brilliant improvement over the Eliminator 5 because it now looks like a normal scope.
I've had every model of the Eliminator and my biggest complaint has always been the Glass. The price point was always great but I'd have paid double for better glass. Will definitely have one of these for the upcoming season.
Biz nasıl temin edebiliriz türkiyedeyim
I want a very high end version with adjustable turrets and a HUD that shows ballistic solutions in MILs. Hold over is great and all but I'd the next best thing.
Check out the Burris varsity
Just read the wind and send it! I’m getting one of these.
Hell my eliminator 5 makes wind calls even of you got the wind reader deal lol
Ya but only a small market. In most states like Oregon for example it is illegal to hunt useing a scope that provides electronic ranging data inside the scope. So thos scope is illegal to hunt with.
Thank you, @sportoptics !
If we as hunters have access to this kind of tech, just imagine what our military sharpshooters have access to. These are good times.
Joe ordered all our gear be abandoned in A town.
They are still using normal scopes. This isn't reliable at all.
They have access to multiple world class trainers, extreme long distance ranges all over the world, basically unlimited funding and time to train, the best equipment and armorers. This is a great scope for the normal guy that gets the one in a lifetime hunt where he can’t afford to miss his shot, but for any sort of military ops this would not even be looked at.
ive been using these reliably for 10+ years for hunting and target shooting to 1000yds@@jay-by1se 🤷♂
@@jay-by1se actually look at the new vortex that they are getting with the sig spear. It's this... on steroids
Hi, How does the scope behave in twilight? So far, Burris has not been so good in that hunting situation.
What chassis is on that rifle ?
Hear me out, a cabled tail cap to run a pressure pad down near the grip so it’s easy to range and fire with your firing hand without having to use your offhand when already in a good shooting position.
How is battery life in - 20 deg C?
Hi. I am thinking of getting the Eliminator 6. My concern and question; must you hold your finger on the bottom to keep the point of aim, or does the scope hold the point of aim for a few seconds, to allow you to use the left hand to support the rifle. Or are you forced to keep the left hand on the scope (button) and only have your right hand to support the rifle and pull the trigger. Especially in a situation where an animal is constantly moving (changing distance), and you only have a split second to range and shoot between the movements.
Thank you.
The default time for the point of aim to be displayed is 15 seconds after the button is pressed and it can be changed to longer in the app.
Man I didn’t realize that you guys were in Louisiana as well!!
Hello.
My question about the Burris E6 or E5 is: what is the operating temperature range of the scope? I hunt in the Yukon and Alaska in -20 to minus 30 Celsius.
What does the scope do once the batteries are empty?
Is it possible to shoot very long distances on targets with this type of scope?
Thank you
For -20 F. ? ->Carry more batteries in yer inside pockets to keep them warm. Tape a small chemical hand warmer underneath the scope? Below -20 F. is kinda dangerous to hunt. My coldest day was -40 F. and XC skiing that day felt like I was XC skiing on sand. TOO damn cold for hunting, and especially for field dressing big game.

I changed, I bought a steiner MX5 military. I know Burris is coming out with the 6
@@d.t.f1353 Good on ya. That's a tank of a scope, likely as strong as Nightforce ATACR, certainly as expensive!
Need the Eliminator 6 for long range hunting in Nevada.
@@ericb.4358
Yes, very good scope. I found it for 4200$ CAD in Alberta, I made my choice on it because the US army snipers have tested it and use it. Highly resistant to immersion and impact. . I shoot beyond the mile, I wanted reliable and the German equipment is very reputable. I'm going to mount the Burris 6 on a rifle for grizzly bear hunting in the Yukon. Question: Are you happy with your Burris?
Awesome concept. I'd prefer a regular 3K scope with better glass and magnification and just use my turrets, but I haven't tested this so maybe I'd change my mind.
You probably still write checks and mail them to pay your bills
@@ghingisoverland6932dials his landline phone in circles too 😂
Use what you love best! It is definitely worth a test though. Just make sure to have a towel close by to mop up all the drool.
@@ghingisoverland6932 like 3 people use this scope and I'm a rube for not being one of them?
@@BurrisOpticsCompany I always have a towel handy, but not for drool.
BTW, a 34 mm tube, as in the Eliminator 6, given identical wall thickness, is stronger than a 30 mm tube. That's the physics of increasing tube diameter. Aluminum framed bikes use this factor for great stiffness.
Does the Burris app work with previous generations of the eliminator scopes?
of course not, apps didn't even exist when the previous tech/scopes were designed
@@anthonysullivan4202 good point, I have the 4th version so I thought maybe it would
These scopes are only as good as as the person mounting them. Making sure they're level. That's where the old eliminator excelled because the mount was integral to the scope and you could not screw it up. I think they should have kept a integral mount and just found out a way to make height adjustments
Hey, my riffle base have a pre tilt of 30 MOA. How is that entered into the scope?
It is irrelevant. Zero the scope conventually at 100 yards with windage and elevation torrets. Test your program at ranges you are able to target shoot. If it's on at 200, 300,.... your good. If your groups grow, you adjust bilistics in the program. You have 42 MOA to work with to zero.
What is the price?
I thought this was being seem released to target the precision Long range rifle shooting segment
What scope rings are you using for the video?
Burris Signature Rings
I had no idea Burris was still in business. They haven't updated their website in a while.
Very much in Business! Stop by our website more often 🙂or sign up for our email alerts to learn about all the new products we are releasing this year.
The last eliminators only gave you arranges solution out to 800. Kind of wish you would not have lost over what that number is on the new model
Where is Angle in Ballistics calculation?
Nice idea, but is it legal in every state?
Wow
You never talked about how it gets the wind hold! So the only thing this will do is range finding and show your holdover. I still have to have a Kestrel to get the wind and then dial it into the Burris!
So it’s the Sig BDX but like 3 years later and over 2x as expensive?
Not Really This is Gen 6 I Have a Gen 3 The Laser Range Finder is Packed in The Scope On All Eliminator Scopes You Don't Have to Bluetooth From a External LRF To The Scope Like The SIG BDX Burris is and Has Been Way Ahead of SIG !
I think I'd prefer a Revic
Is that legal in alaska?
Yes. I've called af&g.
It doesn't put artificial light forward or have night vision so it's good to go.
I want 1
Surely it’s more than 40 MOA vertical adjustment??
Hell what you plan on shooting that far that you need more?
Wonder how well this would play with a thermal clip on
Worthless, just get a pulsar xl50 or an Iray Rico mk2 rh50r I went with the Rico mk2 and I’m absolutely in love
I hated my Burris Eliminator 6
Cause I can't find out my ammo "Hornady precision Hunter ELD-X 7mm PRC" from CARTRIDGE list.
Disappointed !
G7 BC for the 175 ELDX is .347
Muzzle velocity should be around 3000fps. Use that to create your ballistic profile. Use a chrono to check your MV.
@@Hal_Woo Gotcha, I did it. Waiting to take down the range. Thank you 😊
@@BruceAC Great! Hope range day goes well. Your frustration with not being able to find all the factory load data is understood and is being addressed.
@@Hal_Woo appreciate you! U da best! Better than the Burris manufactory!
What height rings did you use?
Those are the Burris high rings, which have a 1.5" optical centerline.
Thank you. Mine is coming in tomorrow. Super pumped.
What size moa is the illuminated aiming point? Can't find this info anywhere. Thank you :) @@Sportoptics
What rifle is that?
Sig sauer cross
If it was FFP & Mils I’d be interested.
no benefit from ffp with the way these scopes work
WHAT ABOUT WINDAGE HOLD OVER????
The sig cross isn't capable of broad side of a barn accuracy though.
sig is chyna trash thats why
What makes you say that? Is this your actual experience or is it something you heard? Just curious
@brianbell564 From personal experience. .308 platform and multiple types of ammo, suppressed and wide open. Around 2" groups with 168 gr FGMM and it opened up with anything else up to 6". Tried 3 different scopes on it and it's the same. It's a wobbly and flimsy platform, not worthy of being a boat anchor.
😂 😂 😂 You're absolutely delusional. My sig cross stx in 308 shoots 0.23 MOA at 100m consistently with eld x factory.
@jamesm3268 Congratulations. You have the only overpriced, flimsy peice of junk in the world with .23 moa accuracy.
My truck doesn't even have a remote haha. Cool, but not 3k cool.
I need to start a go fund me just to afford one 😂😂
I didn't catch the recoil rating for the scope. If it ranges 2K yds then Burris must know people have .50 cal and .338 Lapua Magnum available.
dont have a 50 cal but can say they work great on a 338 lapua
My 65 year old farmer buddy uses 4 rounds a year. One to confirm zero and three for his tags. 1 elk and two deer. All from inside 400m. What does anyone need this for?
We need a scope like this so we can listen to people such as yourself asking non-sequitur questions. Why do you need a Bugatti Chiron when the speed limit is 65? Why, why, why…
If this could work without telephone, than it would be more independent as it should be...
The app is a one time setup
I agree with original comment, its a step in the wrong direction not being able to make in field adjustments on the scope itself like all previous eliminators
@@Sportoptics
Thankfully the 5 is still an option. For everyone else, uploading custom bullet tables using the app is a huge step forward. You do not need WiFi or cell signal to do so either. Set it once, and forget it unless you want to update your data.
I'm presuming the 6 uses cr2025/2032 batteries, what's the battery cycle life on the 6?@@BurrisOpticsCompany
Agree! I have an Eliminator IV. Not being able to make programming adjustments on the scope itself like you've been able to do on every other previous Eliminator for me is a deal breaker! The ability to do both would have been fine, but not Bluetooth only.
When will the Burris Connect App support 7 PRC? Seems crazy the hottest round out is not supported on a new scope? Especially since there are super rare calibers supported on the app? Doesn’t make any sense.
Burris warranty guaranty is garbage it’s just words. They won’t warranty simple fixes. This scope has so many features that could go wrong and fail out in the field I would bet it will be a full time job sending it back for warranty and dealing with that process forever and ever.
Ive had a few of these with issues over the years and have been replaced without question every time, replaced with the newer gen model too i might add
Better SH-T can that rifle !
Just think of the technology of what China has that we don’t see, that’s where all this stuff is made.
Burris optics are made in the Philippines not China....way better glass....
This just feels like Kia making a super car. Hard to trust it works in reality for years to come.
Our Eliminators have been in the field for over 12 years.
@@BurrisOpticsCompany by the field do you mean combat? Or hunting?
Not helpful at all! FFP? or SFP? and the most important, PRICE?
SFP and current price is $2,499.99. We are currently doing free tax and free shipping on Burris. You can check out all the details here: www.sportoptics.com/burris-eliminator-6-4-20x52-x177-rangefinding-laser-scope-200177.html

3K ! i hope it jumps on the rifle and balances and zeros itself like a transformer! 3 grand.. wow , i love Burris ..but man ..they racked it this time.. and i am a burris fan
I have an AI powered rifle that harvests the animal for me and then calls me when ready. I call it Costco.
🤣
Does Costco sell wild animal meat?
Already illegal in many states for hunting.
Hopefully it will be illegal in all states for hunting soon.
Why?
why?
What's the point of Burris releasing a scope if it's not to hunt?
Is the scope effective for sport shooting? Not sure
Swarosky has the same type of scope on the market and I don't know if it's illegal too
Name one.
Too bad Utah band the eliminator and ph for hunting. They are great products but Utah ruined it for us hunters
Ranging 2000 yds is a ridiculous... marketing ploy.
It's not. The bigger the number the better it ranges at realistic distances. Every range finding device ever made has used this
Who TF has cell service out hunting?
You don't need cell service to use it? All that is for before you go hunting . I have the 5 it's amazing

40moa elevation adjust only? But ranges 2k yd... wow.. whats really left after a 100yd Zero? Lol.. not much
Bruh it’s a hunting scope........a 6.5 creed will get you out to 1300 yards with 40moa
It's designed for using holdovers. If you want to dial, buy and an old school quadplex and use a rangefinder.
@TheNickademas1 u do kno when a scope says it has a certain amount of evaluation, that it really doesn't have that exact to play with, right? A 40 moa total adjustment will have only about 20 moa left after Zeroing it a 100yd on a 0moa rail. You'd have to get a 20 moa rail to Re-gain 20moa back, as usable moa adjustments... so if this scope has 40 only, on a zero rail, u only have 20 moa to dial... your 1k needs 40moa to reach. Lmfao...
So imma add to your comment, maybe it only takes 40moa for 6.5 creed to reach 1k yd,...... But u Can Not do it with a Zero scope rail..not enuff adjustment left over...... but cheat it wit a 20moa rail, yes.........
@@joshlindner1339 I have a Vortex rzr gen 2, it's plenty adjustment for me.... and my Maven, 100plus moa adjust, plentiful... And for ranging, yes, I have my Swaro el rangfinding binos.......
@@mryang3644 if you at all serious about shooting out to 2000 yards you would have to a special kind of “” not to run at least a 20 Moa rail if not a 30-40Moa rail.

I agree, plus you can only get the app if you have a newer phone that supports OIS13+
Imagine when the tech goes down … “blue screen” … 😏
When choosing tools and equipment … mechanical and analog always!!
Haha, (blue screen), did you have an original burris laser scope too?
It really should be x25 in 2024
By the way don’t bump it it’s junk
Its cheating! 😂
How? Was it cheating when the firearm was invented? Or the arrow head? It's just advancement in hunting and shooting. Hell Google is cheating intelligence lmao
For paper or steel targets this is great, but for hunting purposes, all I can say is get closer or pass. Unethical shooting. Where's the challenge?
Tell me you're a shit shot without telling me. haha
I totally agree with you I have one on a 300 mag it calibrates out to 1200 yds but the only thing I would hunt with it at that range is predators on my calfs or lambs , for big game I use an old 303 with peep sites .
@winstonskafte5505 I agree sir
"you can set it up to yards or meters, which is cool, cause a lot of people do still prefer meters in america" 😂🤣 What a F**K did i just hear, is this salesman living in tin can ? 😆
